Idk if I went on an off day day but this was not good. The pork was dry the Mac and cheese was gross. The chicken on the other hand was ok but bottom line is we tossed $ 20 + worth of food in the trash it was that bad.

My God what an awesome little find this was! It was my first time in this area being from the Tampa side of the bay. I was on my way to the Botanical Gardens when all of a sudden the entire car was filled with this BBQ smell(this was on the road in the intersection. The whole time we were at our destination we couldn’t stop talking about it and determined to find the source of the smell. We set out to look for it and just followed our noses, no joke. It was pouring rain but we had to get ourselves a rack of ribs. There were three of us and a full rack was about $ 22. It was well worth every penny! We definitely each had our fill. We brought the food home and kitchen stilled smelled like BBQ the next day. The parking here can be a little confusing. This place is a little trailer right next to a church. When I got there, there was no outdoor seating or any seating for that matter. We just got our food and drove away, supper excited to get home and eat it. All in all if your craving some pulled pork or good BBQ cooking, this place is amazing! I will definitely be coming back here when the craving hits!

Drove by and noticed a roadside bbq joint. I read the quick review on Unilocal and decided to give it a try even though the review was somewhat dated. There were a couple of customers ahead of mewhich is a good sign. After reviewing the menu, I ordered ½ rack rib dinner with potato salad and collard green as sides($ 14) and a whole chicken($ 13) that came with slices of bread. The total came to $ 27. Holy cow, that was a lot of food. Enough food to feed at least 4 adults. The rib was big and meat fell off the bone. The chicken was moist not dry. I had the bbq sauce on the meat, in hindsight I should have asked to put it on the side because I was doing a take out. Overall, I would recommend C&J if you are in the mood for smoked bbq. You will not go away hungry.

BEST Barbeque ribs EVER! A full rack, which can feed 4 – 5 people is only $ 20. Amazing side dishes including Potato Salad, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, and Collard Greens. They also serve mouth-watering pulled pork sandwiches, whole and half chickens — smoked, and all other kinds of Southern/Soul food. Their trailer is located in front of Shiloh Missionary Baptist church on the corner of Ulmerton Rd. and 117th street.
