Essentials Retreat Day Spa

I’ve been here many times, however this is the first time recently (within last year). My facial was very rushed, I had an appointment at 10:00, went in at 10:10. Was out by 10:46. I will not be back. Two stars for a very clean/​relaxing facility and friendly front desk staff.

Booked a massage this morning and the MT «over slept»! WTF When the manager was called, she just said to «rebook» me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL Will not come back!

Just had a great message with Tessa. I am not easy to please and she did a wonderful job!

You can’t beat the Tuesday & Thursday specials — a «relaxation» $ 25.00 massage. Kayla is knowledgeable, professional & knows how to therapeutically deliver top notch service! I look forward to visiting the salon the next time I am in town!

Had a great deep tissue massage by Mark. I have been to several Essentials, and this has been my best experience yet. He focused on areas of concern, instead of doing the standard «routine massage» that many seem to fall into. First time I have ever pre-​scheduled my next appointment.

After the «forced» payments at Massage Envy, I switched and have been going to this branch of Essentials for over 2 years, every two weeks for a full body massage. With a medical history of rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia, since receiving routine massages, my steroid injections have been able to be cut down to 4 per year! The massage prices are excellent, especially on Tues and Thurs, being only $ 25. Kayla is my favorite therapist. She has excellent technique with the perfect amount of pressure.

After flying around the country for 2 weeks and being squished into airline seats, Ashley made all magically go away and I feel fantastic– thanks! This is one of the best kept secrets in Largo but you need to tell your family and friends, or better yet, buy them a gift card — on Tuesdays and Thursdays, $ 25 will get you a 1 hour relaxation massage. Ahhhhhhhh

I decided to treat myself to a spa package and decided on this place since they had the best deal packages.
I received a wonderful full body massage and the massage therapist was wonderful and attentive.
It was then followed by a facial. I forgot her name but she was awesome and was so passionate about skin. She told me everything she was doing to my face and benefits of it. I was so impressed and learned a lot about my skin. After my facial, my skin looked amazing.
The only complaint I have is the manicure choices. I love a good bright nail polish and the only gel colors they had were red and light pink (ICK!). They also had mostly LA GIRL nail polish, yes the $ 1 nail polish at the dollar store, as their only bright nail polish choices. They also did not have a nail dryer. Seriously? Who provides mani/​pedi without a nail polish dryer available?
I will definitely go here for my massages and facial again. I’ll skip on the mani/​pedi through since the nail polish choices are terrible and my mani chipped severely after 10 hours.
