History

Established in 1970.

Servpro of Seminole is a Fire, Smoke, and Water Damage Restoration business that opened their doors in 1970 by Art & Carol Gareau. In 2000, Burton & Deanna Greenway took ownership and relocated it to 1569 S. Missouri Ave. in Clearwater. They also own Servpro of Largo and Servpro of NE St. Petersburg which they operate from this location as well. Burton & Deanna have been Servpro owners since 1983.

Business Owner

Burton, born in San Diego, was brought up in a military family. He moved around a lot but has lived in Florida most of his life now. He settled into Pinellas County in 1979. He began working for Servpro of Clearwater in 1980 and worked there for 3 years. He enjoyed this type of work so much and was encouraged by his boss to obtain his own franchise because he showed excellent work ethic and leadership abilities. In 1983, Burton and Deanna, his wife, started with one franchise, Servpro of Largo, then 2 years later purchased Servpro of NE St. Petersburg, and in 2000 added Servpro of Seminole & Central Gulf Beaches. Burton is a Florida state licensed Building Contractor in addition to being a licensed Mold Remediator. He has also completed training courses through CleanTrust formerly known as IICRC. Burton is licensed by the State of Florida to teach Continuing Education courses and holds CE classes at his office frequently.
