History

Established in 2009.

In 2009, Greg Spellerberg and Susan Lundy closed a 20 year old general agency, Ross Valley Insurance Agency, and opened Benefits by Design Insurance Services, first located in Sausalito. In 2010, the office expanded into a new location in Larkspur Landing and became Benefits by Design, Inc., (still with DBA Benefits by Design Insurance Services).

Greg S.

Business Owner

Born and raised in Marin County, Greg attended Drake High School then graduated with a BA from Occidental College (Los Angeles area). He lived in Italy after graduation then returned to Marin and worked as Publications Manger for a Sausalito-​based educational company. In 2007, he joined Susan Lundy and her then partner, Susan Barstow, in Ross Valley Insurance Agency. In 2009, the «two Sues» closed their agency, with Barstow becoming partners with her daughter, Jen, at newly formed «Ross Valley Insurance Services» and Greg partnering with Susan Lundy at Benefits by Design. In 2012, Greg became owner and President, and Susan Lundy remains a Director and one of his full time employees.
