50 Shades! The Smash Hit Parody

OMG, THIS SHOW WAS HILARIOUS. We were laughing the entire time. If you’re familiar with the story line, you will highly enjoy this. The showroom is small, so any seat was a good seat for visual and audio.

I’ve seen a couple plays on 50 shades now and this was definitely a good one, I just don’t think it was worth the ticket price of $ 100 person. I did pay for the VIP seats and sitting in the front row was fun, but still a big price to pay for that type of production.
It was a good time, we laughed and enjoyed it … not a waste of time as some have reviewed, just not a good value in my book.
Living in Chicago my expectations are pretty high and I was expecting this one to be better than the one I saw there.

Absolutely HysTeRiCaL !!! Never laughed so hard all the way thru a show before. Not sure how often the cast changes because the photos I see of the cast have a few different people in it than what we saw on 1÷3÷16 at Balley’s in Vegas. I can only hope you are lucky enough to have the cast we saw — especially the lead who plays Grey — you would swear he was Ben Affleck’s brother… well, kinda — you’ll know what I mean once you see it (hee hee !). It is so funny but not for those easily offended by silly sex topics– you guys stay away and let us enjoy the humor… and surprisingly good singing voices by all ! Just go and see it !!

This was the worst gross disgusting show ever! I’m glad o didn’t have to pay for my tickets, but 69 minutes of my life I’ll never get back was a big price to pay. I’ve read all three books and while there were hints at some of the story highlights the writers of this parody missed the mark all the way around.

I’m not sure I saw the same 50 Shades parody that these other reviewers saw, especially the 5 star reviewers.
I left feeling that was 2 hours of my life I’ll never get back. It was cheesy and lame from start to finish.
I question the legitimacy of some of the reviews. Maybe other people are much easier entertained then myself? Or maybe these are misleading reviews by people associated with this piece of crap trying to lure in tourists to keep a pay check.
A few too many 5 stars reviews for such a cheap production. Just saying,
My wife that drug me in there and is a huge fan of the book trilogy and movie apologized numerous times for even suggesting this play. She herself was more disappointed in this amateur-​hour production.
I didn’t laugh once, it’s was a stinker.

If you read the book you will LOVE this show, it had us laughing the entire show. We have a friend in the show and went to support her and the rest of the cast of course because they were all amazing.
Sadly our friend who is currently part of the show will be leaving the cast, not sure why but I don’t get to make those decisions. With that being said, I would still HIGHLY recommend this show as the cast is nothing less then AMAZING, great singing, great dancing, ok REALLY FUNNY dancing, a great parody of the book and movies.
They have a full bar before going in and service throughout the show.
They guy who place Christian Grey, he is just an amazing actor, singer and dancer. The main lead Anna, new to the valley but an AMAZING singer, dancer and all around performer. Now there were 3 ladies who started off the show and portrayed the book club, WOW, WOW and WOW.
All 3 have fantastic voices and will wow you. All three are BEAUTIFUL which makes it difficult because you don’t know which one to look at. I know you are say just look at all 3 but their eyes mesmerize you and entrance you, you get stuck looking at one and then the other and then Jose comes into the picture and its all over, he takes you off your seat laughing. There are two guys who act as helpers to Mr. Grey and they are GREAT dancers and actors.
This is a show worth seeing if you are into comedy. Lastly Dean who is the head guy before you go into the show, he is a very friendly guy and knows how to take care of people. The bartender, he has a sense of humor and that is important before during and after a show.
GO SEE THIS SHOW!!!

I’m always looking out for new shows in LV. This one I found on Unilocal and got good reviews so decided to see the show. It’s at the Bally’s Window’s showroom. The theater itself was on the small size but seats were close to the stage. Before the show, the production manager pumps up attendees while waiting in line to get in. He’d asked a funny «R» rated fact trivia and winners got limited edition souvenirs from the show.
The show itself was hilarious. The cast was on point, script was funny and musical performances /​songs were excellent as well. Definitely worth watching with a group of friends before a night out. FYI, we got good deal on tickets from Groupon.

It was not funny to the audience we were in. Maybe for the few that likes raunchy entertainment. If you like that type of stuff, make your own decisions. I would prefer to spend my money on the many other enjoyable shows. For over twenty years we travel to Las Vegas for the shows. My wife and I both agree, this show was by far at the bottom of any show we have seen. We did read the reviews, we made a mistake.

So we absolutely died over this show! Incredible singing-​amazing acting, great dancing, perfect script, phenomenal performances– as noted the Christian character stole the show!!!
Negatives (although I wouldn’t remove stars for this because it was so great that these can be overlooked)
— uncomfortable seats– but don’t worry it’s so fast 69 mins, that it doesn’t really matter
–costumes– could have been a tad bit flashier for my taste– but still ok
Otherwhise it’s flawless and so much more entertaining than the big shows because you’re practically on top of the stage–
GO VIP — and get front and center! I was made the joke person which I planned on– the power of the secret really works!!!;)

The show is really funny. The acting and script are great. The problem is that it is a really cheap production. You are talking about a handful of actors, and 3 – 4 stage props. It is definitely not what I think a Vegas show should be, but ultimately, I was entertained.
The drinks are steep. $ 15 for a margarita, without tip. Ouch!

I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time! If you know the movie and are prepared for the sex humor and inappropriateness… You must go see this. But if you are easy offended at cuss words and sexual content (no sense of humor), I wouldn’t recommend it.
It started off a little slow, but quickly had me in tears from laughing! Great job by the cast. Especially the guy who plays Christian… His leotard is still making me giggle!!! Don’t let the room fool you. It’s small and plain, but you aren’t there for the appeal of the room. I would see it again! Thanks for the laughs!

A definitely hilarious parody of E L James Fifty Shades of Grey. The entire play was orchestrated well from the moment when the young and sexy entrepreneur, Christian Grey, meets the very innocent English Lit student Anastasia Steele.
The musical was well thought out depicting Christian, who is the dom, introducing Anastasia, the all time virgin as the sub, to his world of BDSM.
I suggest reading the books and watching the flick to better understand the entire play.
A very talented casting crew who delivered an exceptional show that will have you laughing and screaming the entire play!

What a fun surprise! I received a great deal on the tickets, and was really impressed with the level of talent. The show was wonderfully raunchy without being disgusting. It is hard to find a balance, but they did. Nice job putting this show together.

The pros:
The show itself is clever and funny and raunchy and cute. The guy who plays Mr. Grey is hilarious and worth his weight in leotards.
The cons:
Everything else. The props, space, chairs and all «stage productions» are none existent. It’s basically a large ballroom they jerry rigged into a stage and put some banquet chairs in. The props look like things the cast made work from what they could scrounge probably because the hotel gave them no budget. It has the potential to be a great production but the most money they put into the show was the super photoshopped poster making you think you’re seeing more than a community theatre production. Shame on you Bally’s for not giving those people a budget to work with but still charging me $ 55 a ticket.

Hilarious! The guy who plays Christian Gray stole the show. I laughed so hard so many times. I agree that the seating being level makes it hard to see over tall people’s heads but the show is so good. Go for a great laugh. The people are really talented!

I love raunchy comedy shows and I’ll always try and catch my favorites or new ones when they are released in Las Vegas. To me that’s the quintessential Vegas necessity.
Heard about the release of 50 Shades and fresh off of watching the snoozer of the actual movie, I figure I could get the jokes in the parody and be able to understand and appreciate it better. Overall impressions were fair and although it had it’s hilarious moments somehow the stage production value really brought down the show for me.
My favorite number of the whole show was the one where Grey sings «I don’t make love, I F*ck» … god that was a gut buster. Loved everything about that number and it was so well choreographed and timed in it’s comedic aspects. That number alone gave it 3 stars for me.
As for the cons again, I think they need to someday move to a better venue or really invest in creating a better ambiance and experience from the moment we walk in. Can’t half ass it with a small stage in a big ballroom with no visual support around it. I also felt some of the numbers were dragging a bit. Maybe I didn’t have enough to drink but I was hoping for a bit more variety throughout.
To wrap it up… would I give this show another chance? Sure thing. It was good… but I’m not entirely sure if it’s a keeper on the strip. It has to compete with much more funny and versatile raunchy shows such as Absinthe and Zombie Burlesque in this competitive city.
Gotta go balls in 50 Shades! (if you know what I mean)

This show is legitimately FUNNY. There were multiple times I laughed so hard I cried, my stomach hurt, and yes — spit out my drink.
The actor who plays Christian Grey — call me. I kid. Not really, call me. He is HILARIOUS! I think his name is Greg Kata? Yeah, I’m enamored.
Every single performer that sang — KUDOS! They all have incredible voices, it was hard to tell what I enjoyed more, the singing or the jokes.
This show needs/​deserves a bigger theater. But I guess the intimacy lends itself to the show’s subject matter, I get it.
Again, hilarious. I wish them a long, successful run.

Nearly cracked a rib laughing so hard. Even my husband laughed and he didn’t read the books so he didn’t get all of the jokes. A casino host at Planet Hollywood recommended this show. We sat in the front row and really enjoyed ourselves.

My face and the back of my head hurt afterwards…
Not from the big guy himself and his man sling or whips and chains, but from laughing. If you don’t go to this, fist yourself, ummm in the face and then make your Mom fist you, in the face because you have not lived.
Also, I liked it a lot.

HOLY CRAP… this show is fun-​E.
Admittedly I only read the first 108 pages of the book so I had somewhat of an idea who the characters were and what to expect. Well… not in this show. The characters are a bit more «developed» and possibly in need of therapy. Lots and lots of therapy.
At first the show seems to be a light hearted farce set to music. 10 minutes later, your sides are splitting, your mouth has it the floor and your crying due to laughter. The show twists and turns like the layers of interlacing fibers on a leather whip found in Christian Greys red room. By the end I wish I had worn my Depends because I almost pissed my pants. Realizing I missed ½ the jokes from laughing so hard, I went back to see it again. This is one of those shows you could see again and again. Days after, I’m still humming the tunes and laughing to myself recalling some of the scenes.
Bottom Line: Its an AWESOME AWESOME show. So get a ticket (or 2), get a drink (or 3) and buckle in for a wild ride that will keep you laughing for days.
