A & R Complete Service

I called for service on Sunday for my heater. The heater worked for 30 minutes, then it blew out cool air again, the technician came back on Monday and say it can’t be fixed. Today is Thursday, still no one called, my heater is still not replaced or fixed. This place is horrible. If I could give it no star I would.

I just found an error with Unilocal… you CAN’T give someone a zero! I would avoid this company like the plague. They rescheduled on me 2 times then during the 4 hour window of waiting the tech called and because I missed the call they canceled my appointment. If you hire them after reading this then it is your fault.

If I could I would give this company 0 stars. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM! They are a total scam and take your money without doing anything. When we called into complain they were completely rude and got in a yelling match with use about it. Instead go with AMA Air or anyone else in town.

If I could give no stars I totally would. My experience started when our water heater failed. The bottom had rusted out so we contacted our home warranty company which unfortunately is HSA. This is our first claim ever with the company and since they are affiliated with A&R, The problem just got worse. I called the warranty company they put me in touch with A&R to come out and look at it. On day two they came out looked at it and said it would have to be replaced and that he would submit the invoice to HSA for approval. Now mind you this is 1 PM on a Friday afternoon so he said HSA wouldn’t take a look at it until Monday morning. Fast forward to 8am Monday (Day 5) of which I called HSA to check the status and expedite the process. HSA says that they have received no invoice yet and that they were going to call the vendor to get a assessment and probably call me back in 20 minutes. By 5 PM I received no call. The very next day I called them to check the status and they said the replacement had been approved and that they would «ship» a new water heater to the vendor for installation and that the vendor would call me once it had arrived to schedule an installation date. It is now the following Sunday (Day 10) and I have received no call from either company and remain without hot water. Why somebody would have to ship a water heater cross country when there are 10 home-​improvement stores within a 10 mile radius of my house, all of which have water heaters, is beyond me. If you’re smart you would avoid doing business with not only this company but HSA Home Warranty’s as well.

I would have given this place more stars but I got irritated when you call for AC service/​repair, they don’t have any more schedule so you will have to wait until the next day. Really? If it wasn’t for my home warranty company, I would have never call this place. The AC repair person needs some customer service training. I don’t care if he’s out there in the heat. You still need to be polite and friendly. I called them a few times to see when my compressor will be in. They said they’ll call me after it was picked up. Nothing. I had to call. Not having AC for 6 days is crap. It’s not A & R’s fault on this one. Again, followup with your customers so they know the status of the repair and its process. FYI, don’t try to sale me a $ 4600 AC unit when mine has warranty and show your customer (s) the problem (s). I want to know what’s wrong with my AC or any other equipment.

Attention Everyone, PLEASE do not do business with THIS company… I just did not have a choice because of my current home warranty!
WOW! What a scam! This company and HSA are in cahoots! I just moved in into my house 2 months ago. I had this house inspected by a LICENSED INSPECTOR prior to moving in. Then 3 days ago I noticed a leak on the copper line leading into the house. So, I called HSA (BIG MISTAKE) btw NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS with HSA, and they sent JOSH from A&R, who took one look and said «I need to call HSA to get approval, I will call you first thing when I hear from them» goodbye & have a nice day. Fours days passed, NO JOSH! NO CALLS, so I called HSA to check on what had happened to my claim, and according to a very condescending female on the phone «BASED ON THE TECHNICIAN’S REPORT YOUR CLAIM HAS BEEN DENIED BASED ON HIS FINDINGS, CORROSION APPEARS TO BE YEARS AND THE SOLDERING WAS DONE IMPROPERLY… I just moved into house 9 weeks ago and was thoroughly inspected by a LICENSED INSPECTOR and NO LEAK was found. Amazing how easy it is for individuals and companies to gouge on poor consumers. Josh, you could have just, with all honesty, said to my face «SIR, YOU NEED TO PAY ME THE $ 75.00 AND LET ME TELL YOU THAT BASED ON WHAT I SEE, YOUR CLAIM WOULD BE DENIED!
Thank you Technician oops SALESMAN JOSH, who proudly owns Rhodesian ridge-​backs, for coming to my house and taking my hard earned $ 75.00 for simply looking at at pipe AND thank you A & R COMPLETE SERVICE for you know… nothing!

If you want to hire a company of thieves use them. Their technicians work on commission and are told to sell customers services they don’t need to bump up their bill to compensate for the home warranty companies. I have a friend who used to work for this company and quit because of their lack of integrity. His exact words were I like to sleep at night knowing I did the right thing for my customer. I felt like I was mugged in my own home. After showing my bill to a friend and having him inspect the work that was actually done I was informed that I had just paid over $ 200 for approximately $ 75 worth of service. They billed me for parts that were never replaced and then raise the quoted price of Freon when they realize they had made a mathematical error on their invoice. they basically charged me double the local average rate per pound of Freon

Well what can I say that hasn’t already been said. I, like many others, was referred to this company for my issues with my a/​c unit. So I called on Tuesday afternoon to have a technician come check out my problem. By early Wednesday morning I had someone come out and tell me what the issue was, and told me it could be fixed Thursday and Friday at the latest. So far it sounded good.
Didn’t hear from them Thursday, so I decided to call to see what’s going on. Then I was told everything is fine and it’ll be fixed Friday. Friday comes haven’t heard anything, I called to see at what time I’d be expecting someone only to be told it won’t be fixed until Sunday. I let them know what I was told, so the person on the other end got
an attitude. Called the insurance which was useless.
Now anyone that lives in Vegas knows how hot it is. With no a/​c the inside felt hotter than being outside. Completely horrible costumer services, took so long to replace one part, one star for the technician that did the job quick.

I update this to 2 stars, as one of the supervisors came out and was personable and tried real hard. We still couldn’t get the drain fixed, and HSA denied more work. We were going to try one more time but I ended up filing a Better Business Bureau claim against HSA and they sent another firm in finally, for no additional charge. So 23 days after my initial claim, the issue got fixed. Talking to various contractors, they also experience the horrible phone queue that HSA customers experience. I am unable to find HSA in Unilocal,so I apologize for merging topics. Home Warranty companies is a huge sector of repair work. I will re-​search Unilocal as HSA deserves some critical reviewing.

Had AC technician «Kris“come to my home today to assess upstairs AC that hadn’t been working for 2 days, only for him have to a bad attitude about servicing the unit and to be condescending to me! He acted like he wasn’t getting paid and implied I was ignorant for calling in for service. He was completely unprofessional! I called their office to complain and spoke with Cynthia about him but who knows if he will get reprimanded or not? You would think since he’s representing A&R complete service corp. his customer service skills would be at least average…

On 6.17.15 I called Silver State Airconditioning to service the air units at my rental. They determined that one of my units had a bad board. They cleaned the unit and shut it off as to not cause any furher damage.
I called my home buyers warranty company (Choice Home Warranty) who referred me to A&R Complete Service. One week later they finally arrived at the home and did a inspection.
They proceeded to contact my home buyers warranty company and tell them that the unit was filthy. the filters were clogged and that the board shorted out because we turned the unit off.
When I contacted A&R Appliance to ask why and to show them I had service records from Siver State Air, they hung up on me.
Do not use this company, their pockets are lined with money from Choice home Warranty so that Choice can deny claims.
Very sad since the repair would have been theirs if they had been truthful.

A&R was dispatched by my home warranty company (HSA) to help with my failing hot water heater. They were awful. The technician wouldn’t even open the hatch to look inside the unit until I did it for him — then he took my co-​pay and went to his truck to call the problem in. He came back in 15 mins and said there was nothing they could/​would do about the problem and I needed to take up my complaint with HSA. I would not recommend this company or ever call them for a problem of my own.

I wish there were zeros or neg reviews possible.
1. Ref by home warranty company — they could not do the appointment until they got paperwork from the warranty company. Wouldn’t even take my information even though I had all the referral information to get the work done.
2. First phone number I was given said «The subscriber has asked that voice calls not be accepted at this number «
3. They say ²⁴⁄₇ but not really — «the schedule» is pretty fixed and weekends and evenings are not part of the schedule.
4. Left detailed voice mail (after I finally found a working number) — spoke to guy who said «well i really didn’t have time to listen to it» WTH ??
DON“T BOTHER !!! Even if your home warranty company says this is authorized contractor — call them back and ask for manager —- ask for another option.

Too bad zero stars isn’t an option not that this company seems to care that it has a poor rating. they were assigned by my home warranty people to fix my AC which went out for a while last night. The first time out they couldn’t find the problem even though I told them it comes and goes. So today when calling they’re saying they can’t get out today and then when I try to tell them what the problem is after they figure out that yes they can try to get somebody out here they say they can’t accept someone else’s diagnosis but I know that they can’t part today at as late as they would get out here. So I wont be using them through the home warranty service because they don’t know what they’re doing. Also since I haven’t been able to find them on here yet do not use American home Shield they are a lousy home warranty company.

My home warranty company (HSA) sent them to repair a gas leak. I found the service tech to be unhelpful and rude. He told me he couldn’t fix it and to call the gas company back.
When I called SW Gas, they suggested I use someone on their approved vendor list. I reached 5 Star Home Services, Inc. who responded quickly and fixed the problem for the same price A & R Complete Service charged for the worthless visit. (See my 5 Star Home Services review.)

I had two scheduled appointments with A&R Complete Service, in which each one was pushed back tying up my entire day, or cancelled by them. It is like my time is NOT valuable, I had to waste half a day waiting for service to ultimately have it cancelled, not once but twice.
I would not recommend this company, they do NOT keep their appointments. After talking to their front office staff, I figured higher paying jobs took priority and lesser service calls fell on the back burner. Don’t waste your day waiting, there are too many A/​C companies in town to put up with bad service!

Not sure what’s changed since all the 1 star reviews, but my experience with A&R was perfect.
My hot water heater started leaking last Thursday. I called my warranty company. I actually was a bit freaked out about using a company that had such awful reviews. But I also didn’t want to start the whe process all over again. So I said «fuck it, I’ll give them a try.» So glad I did!
They got Jose from A&R to come out. He gave his recommendations to the warranty company. First thing Sat am Jose was at my house, and took care of everything quickly. He’s friendly, he replaced my water heater, took care of the disposal. Price was good. Service was great. Everything was fine. And my hot water is better and faster than ever. I did speak to a girl at the A&R office at one point, and she was friendly. So I don’t honestly know what all the bad reviews are about. But from me to you, they’re worth another try. :)

I have had similar problems with many of the other folks who wrote reviews, including Barry who is noted in the reviews. I too had this company come out because my home warranty company recommended them. I thought this was ARS who I have had out before and were awesome. This is not them. Do not get them confused with them like I did. The technician came out and looked at some leaves in my unit and immediately said «maintenance» issue and that I had a leak. They then requested $ 900 to «clean» my unit AND couldn’t tell me where my leak was or how he knew I had a leak!
Called a friend, Bill who is in the A/​C business but doesn’t work with warranty company at Indoor Comfort Services Inc and he «cleaned my unit for $ 59 dollars» and replaced a fire hazard in my disconnector box that AR Complete did not even mention or tell me about. He then diagnosed the problem as the seal on the unit is breaking down and getting into the system causing a clog and additional air pressure to burn out the compressor, etc. It had nothing to do with a leak. I had to spend $ 185.00 to get my home warranty company to listen and discount what the technician said. I now have Dr. Cool out who takes my warranty and they are doing a fantastic job diagnosing and will help me resolve my issue.
I’m pretty disgusted. The technicians name was Gary and he came out looking filthy and no tucked in shirt. My gut said uh oh when he showed up and I should have listened to my gut and sent him away.
I do also want to add their office staff was horrible because they knew he never even called in my work order and told me I had to chase my warranty company to get THEIR technician to call in the work order. I lost an entire day because of that!
Afterwards, a Mike from AR Complete did call to figure out what happened and he couldn’t even find the paperwork ANYWHERE. He was the nicest person I had spoken to and sincerely apologetic but it was simply too late. I would never recommend this business ever. BE WARNED!

Do you know what it’s like to not know if you’ll have a hot shower in the morning? It sucks. Like, a lot. Especially in the winter.
This was a warranty call through HSA Home Warranty for our hot water heater that was on the fritz. The last people that came out basically did nothing and wasted $ 55 & wasted our time when we told them specifically what was the problem. Always nice, eh?
Lady on the phone who initially called to schedule the service was rude to my fiancé, so minus a star for that.
Jose from A&R came out and replaced the thermocouple — like we told the previous technician from another company — and it works good as new. He did inform us that we’d probably need a whole new hot water heater in 3 – 4 years, which was a nice bonus.
