A Ronnow Lawn Sprinkler

I called Ronnow Lawn Sprinkler and asked Diane if Mike their estimator would still be coming 1pm since it was 15 minutes after our scheduled appointment. She said that she meant to call me and tell me he wasn’t going to make it because he was in the middle of another project. When I reminded her that I had driven from out-​of-​state to meet him at the property for this appointment she proceeded to explain why it was my fault because an hour before the scheduled appointment he asked if he could come immediately and I said I was not available. After she pinned the blame of his no-​show on me I told her that this would be reflected in my Unilocal review. She told me I should call someone else. So my advice to anyone who wants to use this company is to take her advice and call someone else.
1.) We are sorry you feel that way, we haven’t been in business 47 years by no showing our customers.
* You sure as hell did this time!
2.) We have on occasion had to reschedule due to unforeseen problems.
* But, that’s not what you did. As stated above, Mike (the estimator) called about an hour before the appointment and asked if he could come early. I told him that wasn’t possible. He never said he was not coming. After he has 15 minutes late I called your office and Diane told me she «meant to call me» to tell me he wasn’t going to make it because he was busy spreading rocks on another job. THAT IS NOT RESCHEDULING THAT IS AN EXCUSE.
3.) We made every attempt to
accommodate you, we tried to come
slightly earlier and also slightly later.
* Every attempt? As stated above I was here from out of town and I had a limited amount of time to get this estimate. The slightly earlier was an hour before the appointment. I was not available. The «slightly later» was two hours after the scheduled appointment. Again I had my time already scheduled and could not change it. At 7:22 AM this morning Diane called and asked me if our appointment was today or tomorrow, that was probably where the problem was. They double booked that time slot and didn’t tell me about it in hopes that I could reschedule at the last minute. Moreover, if I was able to stay in town longer and meet with him at 2:30, why should I believe he would show up?
4.) You were never told to «find someone else».
* Bulls**t Kent. I spoke to Diane and not you. One of the three of us is lying and I know it’s not me. You better speak to Diane.

I only needed a small job done to repair the drip irrigation tubing for my trees, and A Ronnow Lawn Sprinkler has proven to be a reliable service for me. If they’re not busy, they do their best to provide same day service, and they’re upfront about their fees. They’re not cheap but not overly expensive, especially since they know what they’re doing and work as efficiently as possible. Mike got my leaks fixed for under $ 100 and within 30 minutes, and I would certainly trust this company again for any other irrigation issues!

Many of the plants they put in are already dead. My house curb appeal is worse than when they showed up. Maybe they didn’t get the irrigation extended properly or a poor choice of plants.
I will never use them again and recommend you to do the same.

I had a leak in the main sprinkler pipe and a smaller pipe which was caused by a large tree root. The tech Steve was great. He got there earlier than expected. I was having surgery at noon and they really accommodated me by getting someone there on time. He cut out the massive root and repaired the pipes in our lovely sweltering heat. He was there 2 ½ hrs. Cost $ 250 which I think was reasonable for all the work done.

Excellent service! The tech, Kent, was very punctual, knowledgeable, fast and reliable. Service call was very reasonable too at $ 45. I would definitely recommend them to everyone! Thank you!

Ronnow came out about an hour late which was no big deal. The problem i have with them was the price. They came out for less then 30 minutes and replaced $ 40 worth of parts and charged me over $ 200. I think i was over charged but i have to say they are very knowledgeable and they do good work.

I called them out for repairs to my sprinkler system. I was impressed with the punctuality, level of service, and professionalism. Straightforward pricing and quick quality work. I Would recommend them for any sprinkler system problems.

Two major concerns regarding Ronnow Lawn Sprinkler Inc:
1) The technician arrived an hour after his scheduled window. He was supposed to show up between 11am and 1pm and arrived at 2pm. I finally had to call at 1pm to find out if he was still coming.
2) The Ronnow technician was quick to ascertain I needed an entirely new control panel for my sprinkler system. I was on lunch break, didn’t have a lot of time, and agreed because the panel was old and my grass was dying. The total repair cost was $ 340 for the panel and 15 minutes of his time to repair it.
Once I had time to research it, I discovered the average cost of a standard control panel is $ 75. The technician installed a «commercial grade» panel for my shrubs ($ 200) Completely unnecessary.
If you decide to use this company, take a moment to price-​check the parts and be clear on the cost of labor.
My brother is a master mechanic in CA. He advised me I shouldn’t have paid more than $ 150 TOTAL for this repair. Good luck and try another company.

After getting estimates for a water leak in the line coming in from the curb of $ 1200 and above, I was referred to A Ronnow! They found the leak within 20 minutes! Something the other two company’s I called couldn’t do, and gave me a quote of $ 600. I choose them and in a couple of days had it fixed in less than 3 hours! Cost was below their estimate! We were very pleased!
