Established in 1976.

Alaskan Heating & Air Conditioning is a locally and veteran owned company that has been serving the Las Vegas metropolitan area for over 35 years.

We started the company as a result of being ripped off by another company here in town. We found the best service technician we could in Las Vegas and put our focus into raising the standards in the way Air Conditioning companies worked in the Las Vegas Valley! Since that time we have grown slowly and steadily mostly from our customers referrals.

As we continued to educate ourselves in the industry we started asking questions like; How can we add the most value to our customers? Some of the answers we found included: energy efficiency, annual services, maximize AC life, membership discounts, top quality products, competitive prices, always choosing the right…

Some of the greatest lessons that we have learned have come from our mistakes… this is when our character has shined through and we have won customers for life!

Meet the Manager

Chris L.

Manager

Chris has working in Air Conditioning since 1999. He is a kid in a big body. When Chris is in your home you will easily see how much he enjoys helping customers get maximum comfort through their air conditioning needs.

Chris will tell you that he hates sales but he is the kind of guy that will let you know if he has a great experience at a restaurant. He uses this same philosophy in the Air Conditioning Industry. If there is a way that you can benefit from his knowledge he will share it but don’t ask him to sell you on something.

Always a student Chris is constantly looking for ways to improve himself and his staff to learn and grow within the Air Conditioning industry.

When Chris is not helping his customers you can find him coaching youth sports or spending time with his wife and 5 children.

Chris loves to have fun and joke around and only wrote this bio in the 3rd person so that he can sound more professional!

Wow! Called Alaskan this morning and they had a tech out a few hours later! Matthew, our technician was very professional and knowledgeable. He took time to explain what was causing our problem with our compressor and then went around the house adjusting our vents. Great company and will refer our friends and family in the future!

Our AC unit was not performing as optimally as in the past. We called Alaskan and they came out same day. The tech was professional and gave us great maintenance info on how to improve system performance. There was no pressure to buy anything. We highly recommend them for their professionalism, quality of service and integrity. Very refreshing after our past experience with other companies.

Very Helpful! The technician came out the next day after we contacted them. He ran a few diagnostics based on the issues we told him we were having. Gave us a run down of the overall condition of our units and answered all our questions without being pushy or trying to sell us on anything extra we didn’t need. Definitely recommend and will use them again.

Alaskan Quality is the best… same day service even during the excessive heat warning issued… I highly recommend ALASKAN QUALITY for their excellent customer service, honest & reliable repair technicians! Don’t waste your time on calling any of the horrible RIPOFF companies out there that have serviced my 10yr old a/​c units… that I will not name…

Stay away!!! They over price everything and the tech Robert is a complete joke. This guy is a liar and any company that would hire him is questionable. I ended up needing a complete brand new unit and before I agreed to purchase it they were at my house calling me asking why I wasn’t answering the front door. Not only did I not ok the purchase but never agreed to a time to instal. Goodluck getting a receipt for your records. When the technician robert told me flat out that he is surprised they haven’t fired him yet, makes you wonder what’s going on over there. Stay away.

I contacted Alaskan Heating and Air Conditioning after a friend’s recommendation and was very impressed with their service. Our service Technician was Robert H. and he could not have been more friendly, polite and professional. He was extremely knowledgeable and even helped to make sure I had a better understanding of what I needed to be done. They were prompt and efficient in with their work and cleaned any mess that was made. I would definitely recommend this company to others!

Very poor & gougy. AC went out this past Sunday. Quite Hot. We were over a barrel.
This was one of the few AC companies that would/​could come out that night. Tech
arrived, and at first told us it was our power outlet, not AC unit. As he was leaving condenser came on… so not our power outlet. Still no air in house though. So tech
checks condenser & motor & informs us that it is our Blower Motor & will cost us $ 550.
He can come back next day to change out units. We agree… it’s HOT & we need AC.
Next day tech installs new blower motor, but still can’t get AC unit functioning… He
calls in a Senior tech, who informs us we need a new MotherBoard… cost $ 1200.
They hardwire the blower motor so we at least have AC air for the night. Next AM,
tech arrives & installs new MotherBoard (it was indeed fried), and while he is doing
install I check prices online for this particular MotherBoard. I found 5 prices for this
unit: $ 99, $ 101, $ 120, $ 204, &336. We then questioned tech about $ 1200 price tag.
He came down to $ 1000, we still weren’t happy with that price. He says that we agreed to that price last night! He then calls home office. He tells us he was mis–
taken about MotherBoard price… it is only $ 500. In the end we ended up paying
$ 1145 for the whole transaction, and we don’t even know IF the blower motor was
the problem. We understand it was a Sunday & we wanted asap service. We don’t
mind paying extra for emergency service call. But this seems just a bit GOUGY to us. (Note this happened in summer of 2013)

We recently had our a/​c and heating system replaced. We were extremely pleased with this company and its wonderful working team. They were efficient, couteous, knowledgable and clean. The lead member in charge explained step by step what they were going to do and about how long it was going to take. They all wore booties when coming into our home, laid plastic where they were going to be working and walking, did their job and cleaned up after the were finished. They were thorough and we are very happy with the work and our new system. They also walked us through how the system worked. We had three other estimates, Alaskan was the best price for the 14 SEER we purchased. Choose them, you will be making a great investment and you will be more than satisfied! Lani Waikiki

I am a new Sun City Summerlin resident (recently from California). When I wanted to replace my 25-​year-​old A/​C and heater, I interviewed ten local A/​C and heating contractors that were recommended to me. I met with all who showed up, reviewed their proposals, and ultimately chose Alaskan. I met with Chad (the owner), who struck me as an intelligent, fair, and competitive businessman. I also met Chris, the technical manager, who had a great reputation among his competitors. (When your colleagues are touting your technical skills, you MUST be good!)
Alaskan prepared a complete, clear, and competitive proposal, arrived on time, completed the installation and configuration job in a professional and timely manner. Chris’s team of technicians were thorough, hard working, and pleasant to deal with. The City Inspector signed off on the job, and I’m now very happy with my new unit. It is very efficient so my monthly recurring costs are considerably less. The unit is working fine, and I’m a satisfied customer. Alaskan followed up with me to check if all was well (thank you, Qiana!). I also signed up for their maintenance program. They even submitted all the registration paperwork with the manufacturer.
All in all, I would recommend Alaskan to any one who asks me. One of the key reasons was their technical team, as well as their forthright, fair, WRITTEN price proposal. (Other contractors gave me oral estimates, some did not even bother to show up, and others promised what I knew they could not deliver.). Thank you, Chad, Chris, Qiana, and the rest of the Alaskan team for restoring my confidence in Las Vegas contractors!

I am writing this review because of the excellent customer service I have received from Alaskan Heating & Air Conditioning. I purchased two Maytag heat pump and air handler units from Alaskan in September and the units were installed and worked well for the rest of the air conditioning season. When cold weather came to Las Vegas, the downstairs unit was not blowing hot air. I called Alaskan on January 1st and said I needed someone to come look at it, although it was not an emergency. Carlos came out that afternoon and although he was not able to solve the problem, he set up an appointment for Matthew and Sean to come out on January 2nd. Matthew and Sean spent three hours and solved the problem. Because Alaskan emphasizes their service after the sale, there was no charge for the repair. This is what customer service is about. So the next time you look for the «low price», remember that you want to allocate some value to «after the sale» support and service. Alaskan provides that prompt support and service.

I would like to start with they are lifesavers! After getting home with my 10 month old baby in the middle of summer to a hot house I called around for someone to come on such short notice and it seemed nobody was available, until I reached Alaskan, they helped us instantly and sent over Robert who was absolutely awesome. He provided us all the answers and told us the issues and the resolutions. He got our a/​c all set and we were good. He was very courteous, knowledgable and most of all he was professional and we highly recommend Alaskan but mainly Robert Lol.

It’s been almost a month and I am happy to report that my house is very cool (78) anytime I need it to be. All thanks to the great people at Alaskan Heating & Air Cond. I increased my rating to five stars today as a way to say thanks for taking care of my family. When I called for help they came that very day and had my home cooling off before the sun went down.

When I came home to a failed AC, I dreaded calling for repair. Alaskan Heating & Air was highly recommended to me based on the ethics and business practice of the owner, Chad. He has clearly passed these things down to his employees. They were ready to show up the same day, on a Sunday, no less!
Justin showed up 10 minutes early, completed his evaluation, and discussed with me what needed to be repaired and the function of the parts that needed to be replaced. I am happy with the price, and even more so with the customer service. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of HVAC services.

This is the most dishonest company!
The technician opened up my unit and put to wires together and shorted it out.
He thought I wouldn’t notice but hard not to when the wires sparked.
He denied doing it but I saw I it myself.
I was confirmed with Nevada Power when they came.

On June, 2014 I called Alaskan air and spoke with Tera. We told her our air was not cooling and we’re concerned for our dog and puppies. Tera said she would dispatch a technician out and he would be here in an hour. The technician Justin arrived in 20 minutes and remedied the problem. He was excellent with our dogs and extremely professional. Due to his expertise we took out a extended warranty contract. Thank you to Justin and Tera for their outstanding customer service.

I think these guys are professional BUT my experience was not good and I would not call these folks back.
I had a room in the house that was not getting cooled properly. Alaska came out and concluded the only solution was a new $ 9k system or a $ 4k zone system.
They felt a duct booster fan — a solution I had read about on the net would not solve my problem. Well I went w a competitor who agreed w me. A duct booster fan and window tint was a simple low cost effective solution. Still not sure why these guys missed it.

Alaskan Air Conditioning is a high quality company with very professional employees all around. Called at 8am, had Chris their tech at my house by 9:15am and my air conditioner was fixed with a new circuit board by 10:50. This was with him driving to go pick up the part and driving back so quickly. I would highly recommend this company to everyone. I work at a major airline and our motto is treat your customers right and they will come back, and Alaskan Air Conditioning knows how to take care of their customers! If I ever have anymore air conditioning or heating needs I will be calling Alaskan Air Conditioning. Of course July 4th weekend when all the family was in town, my Air Conditioning went out! Fearful of the high priced emergency rates on a Holiday weekend I reluctantly started calling around. Sure enough those who would come we’re outrageously priced and the rest wouldn’t come till Monday! Then I came across Alaskan Quality Services, not only did they Save the Day SAME DAY, they were prompt, clean and professional! And the best part was that it only cost me a couple hundred bucks! I’m very satisfied and would highly recommend! All of them were very easy to talk too and informative! Thanks again Alaskan Quality Services!

Here we go with A/​C issues in the middle of extreme heat… ouch! Alaskan was fantastic to work with, almost immediate once they were alerted of my problem… within hours fast friendly, honest and courteous service throughout the not so fun experience. Tony was thorough and complete with all testing, repairs and refrigerant recharging. It was a pleasure to work with them knowing we would be able to sleep tonight in reliable working a/​c units.
