Craig is an amazing inspector. He has done a few inspections for my clients and for me because I’m a real estate agent. I recommend him because he checks the whole way compared to other inspectors who say a lot of necessary things«aren’t under the scope of inspection». Craig does inspections the rignt way every time. I 100% recommend him to inspect your properties. You will be very satisfied and very happy that you chose him.

Craig seemed like he did a great job, as he was finishing our home inspection, he was confident that our house had minimal problems, as our concern was the age of the home being over 20 years old. He even said, «This is a great home!.» Craig is NOT in any way an inspector for the pool or the pool system. Get yourself a pool inspector for that. He gave us a vague explanation on the pool, on the report, he stated that the pool needed more evaluation. But in person, he said the pool was replastered and the pump had a small leak. Turns outs, a couple of months later, the pool guys said the pool was repainted, NOT replastered, with it’s resin clogging up our pump. The pump was also made for a 150 cu sq ft pool, not a 450 cu sq ft pool, so we had to get over $ 6k redone on it. He seemed to of inspected our house thoroughly, but did not seem to notice a water damage/ceiling patch while he was inspecting. Nevertheless, a few months after we moved into the house, there was a water leak in the same spot. The seller did not disclose anything and Craig did not take pictures, so… although Craig has been in the business for 15 years, it really irks me that he did not notice the ceiling in our family room. When I called to talk to him about these problems, he said,“Boy, this house had a lot of problems!” Then chuckled. How about that for customer service? I think 2 stars is very generous.

Craig Stivale and his assistants with Alpha Home Inspection were fantastic! The price was great, I almost felt guilty for as much time as they took checking out the mid-90’s home I was looking into. They were as thorough as I had hoped for, and were exceedingly friendly and patient while I shadowed them, poked around things myself, and asked questions. Craig grew up building homes, so he has the hands on know how, rather than just the academic training like those in some firms. He encouraged my questions, and poked, prodded, and kicked everything as he went around, double and triple checking at the end. He handed out information about do-it-yourself cheap fixes where appropriate, and gave references for contractors that he trusted, to avoid a rip off, ensuring that I knew exactly what to ask and what rights I had. This Jersey boy knows his stuff, and while my home search may disappointingly continue after what we found, I look forward to working with him again.
