First of all, this a specialty foods store! It is not your regular grocery store, for those reviewers that were confused about this…
We were looking for squid ink to make pasta and this place came up in the search and we decided to check this place out.
The store is very small but they do carry quite a bit of interesting items there.
We were able to find our squid ink and picked up a few other things during our trip.
It’s hidden inside a business area across from Sunset Park. But it’s definitely worth checking out if you are a foodie and enjoys cooking!

Inventive menu with great execution of the dishes. Nice to see menu items change from time to time so there is always something new to try. Seating is limited so might have a short wait. Staff is very friendly has feel of a mom and pop place.

What a great find. Cool food for sale and a lovely little restaurant and great prices. The folk who run this place are passionate about their food. The chef is a find. I will be back soon.

Simply amazing find. The locals’ hookup. Great foodie fuel without bothering with the strip traffic. And the prices… yes! Reasonable for the very high quality.

Lion fish ceviche es sensational! Such a delight, what a delicacy! Caesar salad to die for. Caesar salad has poached egg, parmesan cheese, black garlic and anchovy of course. The spices on the Caesar are phenomenal. One of the beat I have ever experienced. Great groupon deals for dine in and store products right now.

Chef Johnny is an awesome chef and everyone at artisinal are just simply awesome! they have a great diverse amount of craft foods among other things!

Love this place…
I thought they had closed down when I saw the sign on Sunset removed, but happily found out that they had only relocated and a place even more convenient to my office.
I’ve always enjoyed going in and browsing the selection of gourmet foods, which includes fois gras, iberico ham, fresh wasabi, caviar, etc… but the addition of the café takes it over the top.
Granted, I’m currently on a diet, so I’m unable to sample some of the items on the menu (the fois gras truffle burger with duck fries is oh so tempting…), but I’ve had the lionfish ceviche, zucchini and squash «spaghetti», caesar salad and roasted radishes with whipped pancetta, and everything I’ve tried has been completely on point. The fact that they use the same ingredients they sell in the restaurant is a testament to the quality of food.
Also…check out the tanks, which contain baby sturgeon and baby lionfish. Very cool!

Recently completing his contract at MTO Café it was only a matter of time before Chef Johnny Church found a new outlet for the considerable skills honed at some of The Strip’s best spots, and whether the result of serendipity or plain old luck a partnership with Artisanal Foods owner Brett Ottolenghi has given way to a concept currently titled #testkitchen, the pair of Midwesterners offering up some of the city’s best ingredients cooked in tasting menu format to a lucky handful at lunch with even bigger things soon to come.
No doubt in its early stages, the recently relocated shop on Pama a substantial upgrade in size as well as potential with live tanks, a warehouse, and a demonstration kitchen in which plans are set for everything from pop-​up dinners to cooking classes in addition to a café set to open ‘soon,’ it was at the behest of Chef Church that myself and three local writers sat down at a long table and deferring to the chef as well as Mr. Ottolenghi for everything but booze and jam brought from our homes the resultant eight course tasting with additional caviar service proved the sort of experience that Las Vegas sorely needs, a ‘dinner party’ sort of atmosphere not unlike those offered at London’s Kitchen Table at Bubbledogs or stateside in cities like Santa Ana where concepts like Playground 2.0 continue to evolve and wow.
At this time consisting of one table in the Artisanal Food atrium, the kitchen on one side and the rest of the store on the other, it was after a brief tour of the new store that service from John, Brett, and two-​others would begin and with conversation as well as wine flowing the first bites were presented in the form of spicy radishes atop whipped pancetta, the brine and bite in perfect balance and a bold introduction to the produce that followed, the tomato and stonefruit salad served alongside a complex soup featuring the flavors of sea beans, spinach, basil, and fennel pollen with a light linger of melon on the swallow.
Progressing with good pace, the meal soon joined by three ciders from Mr. Ottolenghi’s Pennsylvania family farm, course three saw an earthy bean soup lent levity by sweet crisps of dried peels while the followup of Gluten Free Frito Misto arrived perfectly crisp and virtually oilless, even the okra offered up as snappy little bites beneath the rice flower while a sidecar of Meyer Lemon Aioli saw little go to waste.
Taking a break in the tasting to sample some of Artisanal Foods’ selection of fine caviar, Brett proving a fount of knowledge about everything from province to crossbreeds and indoor vs. outdoor cultivation, the menu resumed with the sort of thing seemingly made for such a venue, and pairing three types of grapes with pancakes and seared duck liver it seemed almost impossible when course six arrived featuring a pounded thigh of Mary’s Free Range chicken served crispy atop mushroom bread pudding that fared even better.
At this point more than a little impressed by not only exemplary ingredients, but also the skills that saw each one coaxed to its utmost potential without once straying far from the boundaries of classic technique, the final savories of the afternoon featured a duo of sandwiches, the answer to which was best largely a matter of ones personal tastes as the GLT spoke to the sapor of cured pork tucked inside a buttered roll while the slider offered the grass-​fed gaminess of New Zealand lamb mellowed amidst cool Tzatziki and harissa-​spiced tomato jam.
Rounding out the meal with soft brioche from a local bakery topped with cherry-​vanilla confiture imported from the garden of Michel and Sebastien Bras it should go without saying that rarely has a lunch of such caliber been had in the city of Las Vegas, but with the shared passion of Church and Ottolenghi one hopes this will be the first of many, that perhaps the time has finally come.

I’ve been searching for foie gras and my very favorite cheese (which was literally half the price of whole foods) and found both there. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality. I will definitely be returning!

We recently came back to my candy store for a great demonstration and tasting from Rynn Caputo of Caputo Brothers Creamery in Pennsylvania.
In this hour long demo, we got to see Fiori Di Latte, (Like Champagne, you can’t produce Champagne outside the Champagne Region) not Buffala Mozzarella, string cheese, and Buratta. The cool part is that we also got to enjoy this stuff!
People also picked her brain about anything and everything to do with cheesemaking in which most cases, you would have to pay to take a specialized class and gain knowledge from an industry professional, so that was extra cool that Brett holds events at Artisinal Foods like this every once in a while. ALOHA!!!

Your place to go for specialty items that you may have a hard time finding at a regular grocery store.
This place had the things that we needed. we were in need of caviar and they had a decent selection. Which is good as you can find things in your price range.
The young lady that helped us was very friendly. They also have an online store which was nice in helping me determine what kind of items they have in stock.
My only complaint is that the store seems a touch disorganized. Sometimes boxes in the freezer sections are kind of stacked haphazardly. The shelves were just fine, but the freezers were just the areas that were not as organized, which is something I am a stickler about.

Great selection on high quality meats and spices. Everything is a bit pricey but it is worth every penny. The people here are friendly and helpful, will always come back to stock up on Aleppo peppers and harissa!
The acorn fed prosciotto is high quality and you can definitely taste the quality. My boyfriend and I compared 3 different types side by side for fun experimental purposes.
Harissa brand is best I ever had, sweet and not overly spicy. I love eating this with naan.
Aleppo peppers I enjoy seasoning it with steak.

Oh. My. God. Ive died and gone to foodie heaven. This shop has tons of stuff your local grocery store has never heard of and that maybe whole foods might be able to special order for you. Tons of charcuterie, great chocolates, loose teas, and very specialized items. Don’t expect to get eggs and milk along with your wagyu. The guy working when I stopped in was beyond helpful… I wish I had more time to chit chat about salami and what not.
and super plus… for being so specialized prices are not bad…

For a store so small, it offers a lot more than meets the eye. This place carries a wide array of fresh, unique ingredients that you can find at some restaurants on The Strip such as Jaleo, Sushi Roku, Giada’s, Julian Serrano and Bazaar Meat, just to name a few.
And the prices are reasonable. Especially when you’re shopping for high quality products ranging from honey and truffle to chorizo and foie gras. They carry a lot of unique items from a lot of different vendors that you probably wouldn’t have seen or heard about anywhere in Vegas.
I spoke with the lady who rung up my items at the end and she informed me that the store originated from being a distributor that catered to some of Vegas’ finest restaurants.
It’s great that they finally decided to open up a small store for the locals to whip up their favorite recipes with the same touch as their favorite chefs.
I’ll definitely be visiting back again and again.

A small specialty grocery store with mostly high-​end (and high-​priced) goods, but their knowledgeable and friendly staff set it apart from others.
Unfortunately, I did not catch the name of the bespectacled gentleman who helped me, but he schooled me on all things caviar-​related: they have a special caviar refrigerator on the counter but stock larger jars, frozen and seasonal. The smaller jars are kaluga, since beluga is illegal in the US. The frozen type is harvested in spring and fall. I could go on, but go visit in person and let him show you his magic in person.
Other awesome things in stock here include duck, lion fish, black garlic, and both french and russian blini!

The fiancé was looking for a place that sells foie gras. So since we were in the area, and of course the great Unilocal reviews, we decide to stop by! I’ve never experienced such a place in my life! Artisanal Foods is definitely the spot for my chef at home!
They have an abundance of different things! Meats, cheeses, spices, sauces, canned goods, dry ingredients, sweets, chips/​crackers and random/​unique kitchen items.
The foie was either whole and fresh OR frozen but already sliced and cleaned!
My personal chef decided to go at it by getting it whole! Got some blackberry and apricot preserves to eat with the foie. We also decided to go for the Ibérico (cured, Spanish, acorn-​fed ham) and the MontAmoré cheese to pair with the ham.
Plus got some Yuzu for future dinners!
Employees were VERY helpful and knowledgeable of everything in the store! They also had great suggestions and tips!
Quality, quantity, and variety! Definitely impressed! The items you pay top dollars for at those fancy restaurants can be found and bought here, to be enjoyed at the comfort of your own home!

Items sold in Artisanal Foods are pretty unique. We bought a bottle of yuzu juice (made in Miyazaki, Japan), some small stuff and even José Andrés’ potato chips, ha! The guy running the shop let us sample many of items and it helped us to decide what we would buy.
Not cheap but worth a visit if you’re into quality foods.

The items found in Artisanal Foods can only be found elsewhere in Vegas in the highest dollar chefs restaurants. Now you are able to try your hand at either making that perfect Iberico and cheese platter, or completely destroy a Foie Gras seared Wagyu ribeye in your own kitchen. When I went many months ago the staff member she uh, well she seemed very new. I’m sure the manager or owners are an inconceivable wealth of information. Hopefully they will be there to assist next time I choose to go.
–There is Osetra Royal Black Caviar by the ounce or even by the ¼ ounce.
–There are black truffle (at times) and also a 1lb tube of truffle butter which comes in handy.
–Wagyu in individually prepackaged frozen steaks.
–They even had the aquarium favorite, Lion Fish fillet (famous from Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo).
–Duck or goose foie in frozen whole, canned or bottled versions — you sick bastards.
–A variety of imported spanish or spanish style dried sausages and everything else that Montgomery Burns would send Smithers to fetch to feed the hounds.
So if you’re feeling a bit Richie Rich & want to step up this weeks groceries you would basically need to throw on a top-​hat, stop in here and throw down the hundreds.

What an amazing array of artisanal foods! From cheeses and aged meats to chocolates from all over the continent.
We stock up on our black squid ink for paella as well as all the base ingredients for risotto.
Another interesting find are these preserved walnuts in their shell which you slice and eat, shell and all. This has such a unique and intense walnut flavor and can be paired up with any cheese platter or just enjoyed on its own.
They also have different salts, seasonings, and teas. But you are sure to find some really unique and sometimes exotic foods.
Although a small shop it really captures for me that neighborhood specialty market i was used to walking to when I was a kid growing up in the Napa Valley.

Brett is one of a kind! Generous with his knowledge and passion for fine foods. This is an absolute must for anyone loves a total food experience! I feel like after my two visits there I should get 10 units of college credit from the «Culinary Cooking Institute of Paris». Simply amazing!
Prices are more than fair for the amazing selection of gourmet foods.
