Can’t get in the roof anymore which is a bummer. With the amount of history this place has the interior could be better but still nice. A must for atomic tourists. Lots of craft beers although I had a PBR. I wanted a Schlitz which I assumed they had since the have neon for it but apparently they don’t carry it anymore, time to bring it back.

Great bar featuring a full bar, friendly bartenders, indoor smoking, and pub games like darts. Great 50’s era, Nuclear Age decorations and style. Good spot to do some serious drinking. Great place to check out if you’re on Vegas and want to do something off the beaten path.

Local. Friendly. Great beer list. Good liquor. — got a Willetts rye which is hard to find. The un-vegas bar. Escape to sanity. Wind down after a day at CES

Pretty cool bar in the up in coming section of East Fremont. It is a few blocks away & the neighborhood is still a lil shady. People asking me for crack on my walk to the bar. Besides that the bar was nice with a few good draft brews. Nice place to go and get away from all the tourist.

Free parking and a historic authentic setting. The craft beer selection is top notch. Some of my art is on the walls.

This is a classy-like, dive bar. It’s clean and gives the appearance that once upon time it was classy and hip with an old-school Vegas vibe. But now it’s all dive-y, yet still clean and well-kept. It’s large enough to have plenty of seating, but not so large that it’s overwhelming. There’s bar seating, couch seating, and an nice outdoor patio. There are several cocktails, as well as a pretty great beer list. I even discovered some new beers! The décor is awesome, obviously atomic-themed. I loved all the little atomic touches. Service was friendly and attentive. All in all, this is definitely my type of bar.

Super cool retro music playing at an average volume so you can enjoy a conversation or a trip to the past. Great selection of ale and off hand brews with a knowledgeable staff to help you select what you would most likely enjoy. The outside tells a diff story you may feel intimidated but take a step inside and you will change your mind. Very clean restrooms and outside seating area make Atomic a must for local or visiting vegas patrons.

Upon looking at establishment from the outside you may thing it’s dingy and ghetto but once you get inside its a nice dive bar. They have tons of beer of draft and the menu always changes. They don’t have happy hour because it’s always happy hour here. I love there assortment of whiskeys and bourbon. Also they have tons of sour beer which is a plus for me. If you’re ever around these parts of Las Vegas please stop by here and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

My kind of place! I would not have been surprised if the ghost of Hunter S. Thompson and some other troublemakers from Vegas past would have sat down next to us and retold stories about the history of this bar.(For real historical info, check out the small framed story near the entrance. The original owners sound like a sweet couple.) Rose was our bartender and she was patient as we perused the drink menu. We had a few cocktails that were excellent as well as a beer or two. Everything they offer is great so nothing to avoid here, trust your bartender if you are unsure. I would definitely be a frequent patron of this place if I lived in the area. I’ll be back!

After asking some dozen places, we wanted to try Art in the Age. They had it! Friendly, fun and safe place. Recommended with plenty of outside seating and away from tourists like us.

There’s a nice vintage feel to this old bar. It’s got an inside/outside environment. Sparkles in the ceiling. A lit up hole in the floor boards. A food truck option on busy nights. It’s walking distance to the container park, Fremont street, parking lots, cool restaurants, you name it! The only reason it lost my 5th star is because of how smokey it smells inside. I wasn’t even hanging out with smokers, yet my throat was hurting the next morning and my voice sounds like I had been smoking myself! Eeeek!

Atomic Liquor is great. Just a few blocks away from all the action on Fremont street, and a totally different atmosphere. Super friendly and accommodating staff(bartender threw away my boyfriends beer on accident and they just handed him a new one no questions). Drinks were reasonably priced and delicious! And you gotta try an F bomb while you’re there! If I lived in vegas, I’d be a regular.

Spending $ 79 on two vodka + sodas and a glass of rose at Encore Beach Club = worst idea ever. Spending a reasonable amount of money on great cocktails with good people at Atomic = best idea ever. Atomic is a fantastic cocktail bar that has a dive fell in arguably my favorite area of Las Vegas. The ‘hood is on the come up, and it’s bars like this that’ll get it there. With both indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy the balmy weather of the desert, this might be the largest craft cocktail bar I’ve ever stepped foot in. You could easily have 200 — 300 people in this place at any given moment. But in the three times I’ve been, even with four deep trying to get the attention of the bartender, it never takes too long to get a drink you in your hand. Their in-house creations have something for every palate, but if they don’t have what you’re looking for, you can order any of the classics and they’ll surely be able to satisfy.

Normal people who aren’t on vacation go here. people on vacation might go here too if they’re aware of it’s existence. But I appreciate the local feel and the fact that there isn’t a corporate, manufactured, hyped up feel to the place. Pros: — Huge beer and liquor selection — Friendly Staff — Back patio — Lots of seating — Private parking lot — Good music… to our group(it was cycling between French pop, punk, 80’s, stuff like Killers, Foo Fighters, Ramones, Phoenix, Modern English. that’s all I can remember) Cons: — Every time I’ve been here it’s been too loud to carry on a conversation inside. — It’s all concrete so it’s super hot outside even at night. I know it’s Vegas but I wish there were misters outside. or fans. or something. — The location. It has a long history and Fremont is getting better but it’s still kind of shady.

During our recent visit to Vegas, we found ourselves wanting to get away from the tourists, and found Atomic in our Unilocal app. Voila! We were hanging with locals. They offer a few local breweries, and crowlers too. We enjoyed a few of their craft cocktails. The bartenders were friendly and provided great service, and didn’t become annoyed when we became curious about the bar. They shared a lot of history. This place is cool. Really cool. And I’m sure we’ll be back.

Thought it was fun to stop by since the history of the place is quite amusing and we lived at the El Cortez just 5 min away. Some has described it as a dive bar and with a lot of strange caracters but i dont agree. The place has a nice sleek and modern interior and seems to have a lot of locals. We had a nice drink there and the bartender was nice. Nothing loud and raunchy here just a nice old bar with a long history.

Old school divey bars are to be revered. This one also happens to be the oldest bar in Vegas. Cool beans. I quite enjoyed the décor and the casual vibe here! Nice beer selection and a cocktail list that was impressive. If I’d stayed longer I probably would have met some cool cats but had to depart early before things really got busy. The prices are somewhat less than the newly christened Fremont entertainment district. Salud!

Confession… if I lived in Las Vegas I would probably have my own personal bar stool at this place. It is a place that has a very comfortable corner bar vibe. The bartenders are very good mixologists and they have an extensive beer selection. The patio is the place to be to people watch. We were there mid afternoon on a Saturday and it was a nice day with moderate temperatures so this was a great perch. It looks like they have a fan for the warmer days to keep it temperate. The only downside is that you have to walk quite a few blocks off Fremont Street to get there. We walked during the day but personally I wouldn’t walk here at night. We were hit up for money at least twice during our walk here. Many of the people we saw looked they should have been cast in «Leaving Las Vegas». However, I wouldn’t let the location deter you from stopping in and checking out a historic bar.

Jeff is an amazing mixologist. We have him some info about our day, mood, feelings and he whipped up an amazing drink that was right on point. This is a really cool hangout spot that is off the beaten path. It’s a bit down east Fremont but we’ll worth the trek. I think it being further down keeps the annoying tourists and riff raffs away. If you’re a tourist and make it down here, you definitely debut stumble upon it but instead sought out to find it. They actually taped the scene in casino when Pesche stabs the dude in the neck with a pen in this bar making it a historic landmark. It can get very Smokey inside but thankfully they offer outdoor seating and heat lamps to go along with them. I like the joint and hope it leads to more bars opening this far east on Fremont!

Atomic Liquor — the oldest bar in Las Vegas. It was originally called Virginia’s Café when it opened in 1945, but changed it’s name to Atomic Liquor in 1952. At that time, there would often be advisories in the local newspaper notifying the public that later in the evening an atomic bomb would be tested in the desert. Regulars at the bar would drink on the rooftop and watch the mushrooms explode on the horizon, hence the name change to Atomic Liquor. Barbara Strisand, the Rat Pack and Hunter S. Thompson were regulars. 3 $ for Busch beer.
