Awesome Adventures

We booked through another firm, Desert Adventures, so were met at Eldorado Canyon by Bruce for the ATV tour. I had my reservations at first, it seemed like it was going to be a slow, tame ride through the desert. I also came with my wife who was very adverse to riding the ATV’s, going fast and hitting all the bumpy roads. I was anything but disappointed. Bruce took us through a fast course in the desert and we flew through it. He would stop at certain points to allow the riders who wanted to ride slower to catch up, give everyone a chance to get some water and offer advice on riding and on the area. Then he would take us on another course, up steep hills and dangerous areas, having a great time. He didn’t expect anyone to do anything they didn’t want to, and was very easy and pleasant to deal with. We had a great time and would certainly do it again, it was far more of an adventure than i expected.

Came in from Chicago for a convention. Booked an ATV tour last minute. They came and picked us up from the hotel. Drove us out to the valley of fire. They fed us lunch and then we went for a three hour ATV ride. The ATV were in great condition and we were able to really drive the hell out of them. I was shocked that they let us have so much fun with them. The tour itself is very challenging. The terrain is great and despite having an ATV of my own I found the tour to be thrilling. Finally I have to give a special thanks to Bruce our tour guide. He was phenomenal. He is very knowledgeable and definitely loves his job. He truly made our trip a memorable experience. Highly recommend this tour. Make sure u ask for BRUCE!

I bought an one hour ATV tour for 2. It was my hubby’s (dirty) thirty bday weekend trip so I wanted to treat him to something fun :)!
Booking: After buying the groupon, I called the phone number. A very polite lady answered on the bother line. The booking process was rather painless. After booking, I received a confirmation email.
Day of: The appointment lady told us they would pick us up at the hotel we were staying at. They were a little late, but not enough for me to get upset. We were picked up in an Awesome Adventures van. The driver drove us out to the dunes along with 2 other people. We signed waivers and stuff on the way.
The tour guide was already at the site and ready to go. I got on my ATV bike and immediately felt uncomfortable. The other three riders, including my hubby are experienced. I am 5’6,” athletically built, and about 140. I was unable to successfully operate the ATV. The intro to riding the bike was unclear and vague. I almost ended up flipping the bike on the first uphill. The tour guide allowed me to ride on the back of my hubby’s bike, which i was really thankful for. He didn’t pressure me to ride even though he thought it would be a good experience for me.
The ride is seriously AWESOME! Since everyone on our tour were pretty good riders, we were able to go fast and go on side routes to play on the turny parts.
After: We waited 15 minutes for the van to come back. He dropped off another group of people for the next tour and we were on our way back to the hotel.
Overall, we had a great time. Wish we brought our phones/​gopro because it would have been awesome to ride to get on film.

This place is a joke, first I called them 2 weeks in advance, asked what times where available for our date and was told 1:00. I told the woman I was going to buy a groupon and called back no more than 30 seconds later and the 1:00 time was gone, hmmm should have cancelled then. The next time available was 3:00, I asked the girl if we would be back to our hotel by 6:00, since we had dinner plans at 6:30 and she said yes, so I booked the 3:00 time.
The day of the tour the driver showed up on time, not sure why but we had to go to the hotel next to ours, they wouldn’t pick us up at ours. The van he arrived in should probably have not been on the road, it was filthy, windshield was cracked in several places and the a/​c didn’t work. We drove for about 30 minutes into the middle of the desert to basicly a parking lot. The driver stopped next to another van that had an empty trailer and told us the tour before us would be right back and we would go on our tour. Now there is nothing to do but stand in this desert lot and wait, we cain’t wait n the van because it is hotter in there than outside.
About 15 minutes later I ask the driver whats going on and he informs me the tour guide is sick and had to stop to throw up and that was what was taking longer, really? I asked who was going to guide our tour since the other guide was sick and he said the same sick guide, he will be fine. Hmmm, not to sure about this. So about 25 more minutes go by and still no return of the other tour, so now we have been waiting 40 minutes and the clock is ticking, there is now way we will make it back to meet the other people for dinner at 6:30.
About 5 minutes later the other tour finally gets back, to find out that one of the people crashed one of the atv’s. What??? Well we only needed 5 anyway, so let’s go, NOPE!, We then had to watch the sick tour guide (who I think was just hung over) argue with the people for $ 5,000.00 he was demanding on the sport from the guy that crashed the atv.
At this point it is an hour and 15 minutes past the time are tour was supposed to start, so I asked the driver if we could just get a refund and drive us back. He called the office and they tried to get us on another tour that weekend, but our weekend was full with oter plans, so they said they would give us a refund.
so the driver has us get back in the van with no a/​c, squeezes 2 more people from the other tour in there was us and then the van won’t start. So the guide and the driver waist another 20 minutes first trying to jump the van with an atv, even though there is no way that will work, then finally jump it from the other van.
So we finally get back to our hotel about 3 hours after this whole crappy thing started, with no tour just a waisted afternoon.
This place is a complete joke! I am still 4 days later trying to get my refund, guess it is time to stop payment on the credit card.

Such a great experience. I’m terrified of driving even though I have my license and can honestly say I’d do this again.

The ATV ride is anything but boring! It’s totally worth the money and fun for all skill levels. My only regret was not bringing my GoPro! The views are amazing and the tour guides are excellent too. I had a blast and I can’t wait to schedule another tour with them when I come back later on this year!

Went kayaking with Brandon. He is very knowledgeable about Nevada — had cultural, historical, and geograhical tidbits to share. He was prompt, organized, and seemed to really love his job. Thanks!

Me and my girlfriend did the horseback riding with goldmine tour. It was the best we have done so far at this US trip: D

Went to Vegas this weekend and wanted to try new things instead of just the clubs and bars. The website was easy to use and plus booking included time and pickup and the ATV tour we wanted to go on was on sale for only $ 99/​person. The tour itself was amazing. Richard picked us up at Aria right on time and it only took 20 mins to get to Nellis Sand Dunes. The tour itself was nice because it was just the BF, Richard (tour guide) and I so we really got to have a nice tour for just the two of us. Having never ridden, Richard made me feel really comfortable and was not pushy that I was going really slow. We rode all over for about 2−3ish hours and even saw the rare desert tortoise :)
Would definitely recommend anyone who has the morning free in Vegas to go to the ATV tour.

Had such a great time. Picked up from our hotel and after getting everyone, took about a 45 minute drive to where we rode. Instruction was short and sweet and we got to riding. It was so much fun!!! The ride itself was pretty long, i was pleasantly surprised we got so much time. Stopped halfway for a water break. No one in the group was ever left behind. Nice views, wish we could take more pics but oh well! At the end, there was a nice box lunch from Subway with turkey sandwich, chips and water. Got back in the van and the driver took the more scenic route through Valley of Fire Park and actually stopped and let us browse for half an hour. Super cool. It was a great day!

Our Desert ATV/​RZR Tour took off to a great start. Our driver and tour guide Brandon and Ronnie were amazing. During the hour and a half drive to the ATV sight our guide Brandon shared interesting facts on Las Vegas’ natural resources and history. He was very informative which made the drive appear shorter. There is short rest stop along the way for rest room and snack breaks and unlimited bottles of ice cold water are provided throughout the tour. Although the ATV/​Razor assignment for the group were a little shaky at first (due to a misunderstanding on an individual online order) otherwise the prepping to ride was organized and quick. If you’ve never rode an ATV or like to ride with someone, I recommend driving the RZR it’s a more comfortable vehicle, however it is not designed for people 5’2″ and under as I had to sit up off the seat to reach the peddles. If you are taking turns driving. The first leg of the tour consist of sharp (but even level) twist and turns. I highly recommend this leg of the tour for the «less experienced driver». The second leg of the tour should be left for the more «adventurous» driver in your party. It consist of sharp twists and turns, vertical climbs and roller coaster like drops. Loads of fun! Ronnie and Brandon our tour guides are personable, funny, courteous and informative. Wear comfortable clothing you WILL get dirty. Lunch consisted of sandwiches, chips and cookie and a great time to share «stories» as unwind after a bumpy ride. Next is loading up and heading to Valley of Fire for the final stage of the tour. A quick drive through Valley of Fire consist of a substantial photo stop at the Civilian Conservatory Corps then followed by a nice stop at the Visitor Center for interesting artifacts and souvenirs. This is an awesome tour that we will DEFINITELY be taking again and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a different type of fun in Las Vegas.

Cannot comment on standard of the actual Kayak trip on offer as they did not fulfill the ordered trip. I booked 2 months ahead, paid in full, paid for flight to and hotel in Vegas all for the kayak day. Then the evening before I hear from them that the trip is off. Pathetic managment. Be aware that when they say you are confirmed and they have all your $s, in reality you are on the stand by list. Gave full refund but was out of pocket on airfare and hotel.

Did the Desert Adventure ATV Tour which did some ATV trails in Moapa (very cool), short visit to Valley of Fire (ehhh) and driving a Razr on a small, small muddy course (which wasn’t worth it at all). Would I do it again? Hmm. probably not but it’s an experience so you need to do it at least once in your life. Would I hire these guys again? Since it was only okay for me… I would if there was a deal.

I was searching the Visit Las Vegas website for things to do and decided to book a tour with this company because of their Hoover Dam Mountain Bike Tour. They were able to book our tour just two days before the date I requested! I was in contact with Michelle over the phone and e-​mail and she is «Awesome»! Two months down the road she even replied to my e-​mail requesting for the company’s address so that I could add them to my collection of Unilocal :)
My only complaint is that there was not enough information regarding the actual bike ride over the phone and on their website. I was told that it would be about 6 miles but it ended up being 15 (12 miles from the bike shop to Hoover Dam and 3 miles back to the pick-​up spot). I was happy that it ended up being longer because I thought 6 miles was too short. We also didn’t get to stop at Lake Mead. But, this tour is new for them so hopefully all the kinks will work out for future customers.
