History

Established in 1994.

Michele Rothstein, a professional balloon twister since 1991, was twisting balloons at restaurants in California when she realized there was a need for entertainment in Las Vegas. In 1994 she moved to Las Vegas, and began twisting balloons at Chevy’s Mexican Restaurant on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Since then, Balloons with a Twist has grown to a team of over 25 talented balloon twisters, face painters, clowns, and more. You can find us entertaining the patrons of restaurants and family friendly establishments all over the Las Vegas Valley on a weekly basis.

Michele has taught at balloon conventions around the United States. She also helped construct the Guinness Book of World Records «Largest Non-​round Balloon Sculpture» in Belgium!

The story of Rothstein’s journey from college graduate to balloon entrepreneur was featured in «Twisted: A Balloon Documentary». Balloons With A Twist recently received national recognition winning the 2010 Nickelodeon’s Parents’ Picks Award for Best Party Entertainers in Las Vegas. Rothstein also was a finalist for the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership award and will be inducted into the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Nevada «Women’s Hall of Fame» in March, 2011.

Kris came out as a pirate for my son’s 1st birthday party and he was amazing!!! To say young and old were impressed is an understatement! He was on time, funny with the kids, and his face painting/​balloon characters skills were SO good!!! I would 100% use this company again and refer them to friends & family.

I work for a local university and schedule student and family events throughout the year. I have used Balloons With A Twist several times now, including an outdoor event last week that included a themed bounce house, an inflatable obstacle course, a balloon artist, a face painter and an extra generator for our deejay. They offer almost everything you would need to put on a great party. They are very professional, so easy to work with and offer great services. The inflatables were clean, well-​kept and set up and running on time.
Nicole, the face painter, and Angela, the balloon artist, are amazing! They are always punctual, incredibly patient and always work wonderfully with the little ones. Angela twists balloons without looking at her hands and all while talking to the kids and parents. It’s quite impressive! She’s incredibly fast and the product always looks great. I particularly like her little balloon people, like her super heroes and princesses, but she pretty much does everything. Nicole’s face painting is fabulous. She does beautiful florals and cartoon characters. She is so good that there are as many adults as kids in her line requesting the florals with the glitter because they look so much like tattoos. When you have to plan large events on a regular basis, punctuality, reliability and professionalism are critical, and Balloons With A Twist has never disappointed me. I can’t recommend them enough.

The Container Park celebrates another special event with four new stores this afternoon. I appreciate Balloons With A Twist being asked to attend to the children with complimentary face painting today. Angela, the artist, is kind, patient, gentle and talented. She brings to life the image each child envisions. I am grateful every time Balloons With A Twist is requested at The Container Park, classroom party, or attending a special function; I know the children are going to take part in a fun, positive experience.

This was my first time using this company and I was very impressed! Candace came to my daughter’s 3rd birthday party in a complete Safari girl outfit for our Jungle Themed party. Although she was 5 mins late, she made sure to call and let me know ahead of time that she was running behind schedule.
Candace was amazing! She made Disney princesses like Elsa and Ariel to name a few for the little girls, a Blaster Gun, swords, and even a Ninja Turtle for the boys! The kids and parents were very impressed and it was definitely a great entertainment for all of us to watch Candace, make what we thought was impossible with balloons, POSSIBLE! Candace was friendly and very professional and will definitely book her again for our next event!
I will definitely use this company again for all my event needs in the future and will recommend Balloons With a Twist to everyone. Wonderful customer service all around! Thank you for making my daughter’s 3rd birthday memorable!

I took a business card from Kris Cope at a second birthday party we attended in December. He did a great job painting and made some pretty incredible balloons for all the kids. I was definitely impressed.
We just had a Daniel Tiger themed third birthday party for my son and had Angela who was equally amazing with all the kids and even exceeded my expectations.
I highly recommend this company even though my husband thought the price was a little high. It was an extra $ 60 for a special Trolley balloon to be made in advance. It actually surrounded my son, which he LOVED, so I think it was well worth it!

Kris was without a doubt AWESOME! He had such a good relationship with all the kids. He was patient and kind, and I loved that when one of the girls asked him for something he wasn’t sure about, he googled it and came up with an amazing piece of art. That is what all his balloon creations are. Not just fun party entertainment. Kris makes art. It was totally worth the expense and could have been our entire party. No one was interested in pin the horn on the unicorn if they could be getting a bow and arrow made of balloon that really shoots, let me tell you!

My family booked Abigail last month for a party and couldn’t be happier! Every interaction with Balloons with a Twist, from the nice and helpful office staff to the amazing balloons, made the whole experience one to remember (and took a lot of stress off of this mom who lives out of state!).
The booking agent Jason was really awesome. Even though I don’t live in Vegas and had no clue what I was doing, he was helpful and very knowledgeable. Everything went smoothly and the end result was great! Couldn’t recommend this company any higher as far as party planning companies go — nice people, great entertainment, and excellent customer service. Thank you guys!

I had Angelia come for my son’s 1st birthday at Maggianos (Aug 2nd 2014). and she was so AMAZING! not only were the balloons awesome (she can make princesses… motorcycles. you name it!) but her face painting skills are off the charts! I’ve seen many balloon and face painters. and this company’s crew is AMAZING! One of the kids asked for a certain cartoon character and she didnt know who they were so the dad showed her a photo and she painted it EXACTLY like the photo!!! LOVE HER!

Just went to a party that had a balloon twister and face painter. Kris did an amazing job! He is truly talented at what he does. This kind of stuff doesn’t usually excite me because the balloons and face paintings are usually all the same. The balloons Kris made were so detailed and creative. My son got a tiger painted on his face and the details looked fantastic! I really appreciated Kris staying a little late to paint my son’s face. He didn’t have to do that, but he did. Definitely would recommend this place and especially Kris!

I needed a suite decorated with wedding balloons STAT for a little shin dig I threw for a friend after her Vegas nuptials. Not only did they come through for me — they did it in RECORD time — literally same day within a matter of hours. While I was down at the ceremony there was a talented balloon maker in my room making it look like a blinged out reception hall. He even rearranged the champagne flutes on the bar to look more artsy!
Very pleased. And the price (for coming to my hotel same day last minute and FILLING a suite with gorgeous, unique balloon décor) it was worth what I paid. The bride was blown away, which is exactly what I want her to remember on her wedding day! :)

We had Cinderella (Gianna) come to my daughter’s 3rd birthday. She was WONDERFUL. So great with the kids and made sure everyone got a balloon and face paint that wanted it.
We also got a bounce house from this company which showed up on time from the nicest people.
Such a great day made possible by Balloons with a Twist. I would not hesitate in using this company again and definitely highly recommend them!

Best balloon twisting and face painting in Vegas! I used this company twice. Once for my 5 year old Cinderella theme party. Angela was great she came dressed as Cinderella and she did her magic with the balloons and face painting. I used them the second time for my sons 2 year old Disney cars theme party however, they did not have any car theme costumes. I thought they were going to arrive with at least some sort of costume or a uniform, but no she came in with her regular clothes (jeans and a hat). But that’s ok because she came and did a great job with all the face painting and balloon twisting. They are however a bit pricey they are about $ 165 – 180 for an hour, but they are worth every dime! I will definitely use them again and again!
