Keturah is absolutely amazing. She listened and really understood what I wanted out of my hair. I now have a gorgeous ombré style hair with my hairplusbase extensions. Love my new hairstyle.

Kai is my «Go-​To Hair Man» everytime.
Funny guy, great customer service, treats you as a customer and a friend, great stories, keeps you entertain, man this list goes on and on and on. BUTTTTTT
the best part is that he knows what he’s doing.
We tried going lilac but lets be honest, that aint going to work with hair that is not blonde enough. However, the results came out nice and i loved it. coming back when my hair is going to get light enough for lilac.

I go to Keturah every time I visit Vegas, which is every couple months. She takes extra care to get my haircut right and it always looks good. Can’t find anyone else that can get my hair right.

Keturah is great! She’s thorough and friendly. I love going to The Grand in SoCal, but this will be my spot in Vegas.

I wouldnt even give this place a star. they should considered firing this Vietnamese guy. He literally got my hair fried and extremely damaged. He was doing the other four customers at the same time, so he totally forgot that he left the bleach on my hair. well I basically stuck there for six hours, just to get my hair bleach. after he finished with my hair, I wasn’t impress about the result. I asked him what I should do to repair the damage, he said cut the whole hair and re grow. Wtf is this place so unprofessional. I wonder if he even have a license to work as a hair stylist. a week after a friend of mine was telling me. This Vietnamese guy be talking shit behide my back to other customers. if I do have a lot of time I will probably going to sue this place.

Been going here for the past year or so bit the quality of seems to be dwindling down. I only got really pleased with my hairstyle one time and the next ines are decent or so-​so. I stayed with this salon as I was struggling to look somewhere else that specializes with Korean hairstyle. The last time I went here I had a picture with me for reference and even explained all the small details to the stylist but as soon as I saw the bangs cut way too short, I knew this was disaster in the making. And yes, it was. I’m not a confrontational person so I let it pass. I’m too kind. It ended up being like 2 inches shorter than what was pictured. He even requested to show him the picture a bunch of times throughout the process but he still did not get the whole idea.
I think to be able to cut a hair, you don’t only need to know how the scissors work. You need to have the vision. Be an artist. See what works and what doesn’t. Apply all these things and be creative.

I’d never recommend to anyone to this place. So unfriendly, 5 people works there, when I walked in, no one knows how to smile or say hello. My appointment was 11am and I waited 25 minutes to get hair cut, but only took 15 minutes cut my hair including shampoo, my hair was cut left side short right side long. I think the rating on Unilocal was not accurate. When I make appointment on the phone asking for the hairdresser“s name was rated 5 stars, the person who took the appointment says no such person?

I went on Saturday to get my hair dyed silver with Kai. He warned me about the pain and how the dye might not come out as bright as I want & that it would take 4 – 6 hours.
Yes, to all those things. I was there from 1 – 6 pm. The bleach HURTS. I was writhing in pain for the 2^nd round of bleach. I had to stop 10 minutes in because it hurt so much… One issue is there was no Vaseline used around my ears/​scalp rim. I don’t know if that’s normal but I think that’s what usually happens. Either way it burned my right ear and now it’s got a blister.
Still, I’m giving 4 stars because I’m happy with the color and Kai is super friendly and attentive. The price was decent! The pain is something I’m glad to be over with.

James is the best! He’s the only hairstylist I trust with my hair. I used to wait to get my hair done when I would go to California a few times a year. Now I don’t have to wait anymore! I’m so glad I found someone great in Vegas.

Got my hair done by Lorence today! What an awesome job he did. He seriously took the time and made my first experience a memorable one. Goodbye blond, hello chocolate brown! Supper impressed, and will be returning next time!

If u try to look for a professional hair stylist, KAI should be the best choice for you. He takes care your hair really gentle and spends the whole time with u to make u look perfect than your old one. I moved from Seattle to here for almost a year and I lived there for 7 years, but never find any great hair stylist that can make me feel satisfied as Kai. Sometimes, I felt shock after he cut my hair too short as I ask, but as time pass about a week, I started fall in love with it. So don’t complaint if you wanna try something new with your hair. It’s just because u’re not getting used with it, it’s what Kai’s always telling me. Anw, I will and always recommend Kai as your hair stylist if u have chance to come here.

If you are being paid to write compromised reviews regarding this business or any other; you should state in your review you are an endorsed reviewer. Otherwise, passing off an endorsed review as an objective review is not ethical.
If you want to look like an outdated old punk rocker from the 70s that was in rage with acid trips, bell bottoms, and punk rock; go for it. Otherwise, I wouldn’t come here for a haircut.
The experience from the first phone call to the end result was really disappointing. Walking around with a bad haircut was really a blow. But its hair. It grew out in 2 weeks and my hair was almost back to normal. Thank goodness.
No, I do not recommend. Give instructions with caution.

I have been coming here for 4 years now. Keturah nails it every time! She is listens and incorporates what is best for you hair type in a way you yourself can maintain. Never disappointed!

This is the «best» korean salon here. I’m used to paying exact same prices for a way more posh and modern place in L.A., so I was a bit shocked approaching and walking into this place.
$ 40 for women’s hair cut if it’s long. $ 25 – 30 for men’s haircut. The place is quaint, and at the end of the day, I don’t really mind as long as they don’t give me a bad haircut since I’m not super picky.
I had Lawrence and James, and they were both good. Lawrence is easygoing, laid back, and pretty fun to talk to. He’s quite meticulous and takes his time, and I could tell he really wants to make his customers happy. Too bad that I wasn’t the most enthusiastic person. I just looked at the mirror and was like, COOL, and got up and left. Sorry dude.
James, I find hilarious, but he has a sense of humor that could be offensive to some. Tread with caution if you do choose him. But yeah, it’s more of a crass sense of humor.
Both haircuts have been great, so I’d recommend either.

It’s hard to find a stylist you like and can trust, but I found one!
I scoured many reviews on Unilocal looking for a place or person who was good at layering with no color. I did not find much out there but I had a good feeling about Beauty to Beauty after reading some trustworthy Unilocaler reviews.
I made an appointment with Kathy a couple days before, and was happy she had availability based on my schedule.
When I came in, the usual happened, introduction, wash and consult — no frills. As it’s been over 10 years since I’ve tried someone new (previous stylist is in SF), it was hard to explain what I wanted or am used to. I brought some photos, flipped my hair, and made some hand gestures, and hoped Kathy got what I was talking about. She seemed to get it, and after some snips here, cuts over there… low and behold, my head was 10 pounds lighter (ok, maybe 1), and my hair felt like soft strands of silk with no split ends!
It was the kind of cut you like so much, you flip your hair all day and run your fingers through them constantly. It’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed a cut that much afterwards. Could be addicting… needless to say, I will be back soon for my next trim! ;)

If I could give this salon zero stars, then I would…
I gave Kathy three chances to fix my hair that she f$!?3: up the first time. I showed her pictures of the haircut I wanted, but what I got was a completely different look. I asked for a shoulder length cut, but she gave me a super short bob that makes me look like a mom! And after seeing what a horrible job she has done to my hair, I asked her to style it to make it look decent, at least. But all she gave me was her nasty stare. I’m paying you to cut and style my hair… it’s your job!
I had always thought people are insane when they tell me that they’ve left the salon crying and upset because they didn’t like their haircut. Now I understand what that feels like. I walked out of that salon crying. I’m very upset about my hair and I’m so embarrassed to go out with what she has done to it. I gave you a picture for a reason! Don’t do your own style that I didn’t approve of.
I’m just thankful that my hair grows fast.
Also, this place is filthy. Hair is everywhere and the seating area is dirty. Nobody there has customer service. All are snobby and thinks they are better than you. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. DONT LET THE NEAR PERFECT STARS FOOL YOU!

I went here for the first time a couple of days ago to get my hair trimmed. Kai was my hairstylist, and he is great at what he does. I have blonde hair, and due to the bleach, it has damaged my hair tremendously, but they have the right products and detanglers for my hair (and I would hope every salon does, but unfortunately this is not always the case). I have had my hair texturized for years because my hair is naturally thick and heavy, and it is difficult to find a hair dresser who is knowledgeable in that area. Kai did an excellent job texturizing my hair, making it light and whispy. Price is reasonable ($ 40 for long hair, $ 35 for short). Includes shampoo, cut, blow dry, and style. I’ll be back here in a few months!

Just wanted to bud in and say Kai is still wonderful and I admire him and the other staff’s work. Just a note for those coming in to «bleach» their hair – don’t get mad at the hair dresser when your hair turns out damaged/​fragile. They will warn you AND if you’re still stuck on the thought of going blonde comes with the responsibility of knowing your hair WILL look and feel like crap afterwards (majority of the time). Why get mad and blame your hair dresser? Wth do you think bleach is? Fairy dust that magically turns your hair blonde? That shit will kill your hair and if you don’t want that, then don’t do it or even take it into consideration.
I feel sorry for some of the staffs having to deal with some of you customers. Also, remember that you get what you pay for. If you’re going to be cheap, then realize it’s going to reflect on your hair.

Since moving back to California. I have yet to find a hairstylist that could live up to my expectation. James have set the standard pretty high. He listens. Knows how to give u want to want but also puts his own flare into it. I would be willing to drive a couple hours for him but i’m now about 10 hrs away. :/

$ 40 to cut and layer my long, straight asian hair. That’s a great price and I walked out feeling like a million bucks!
Being a new resident to Nevada means having to find a new hair stylist (meaning: one that is tried and true and understands asian hair.) Scouring reviews and trying to track down pictures of hair results from many local salons isn’t an easy task — they start blending together.
Luckily, this salon had a ton of reviews, many high ratings and pictures that helped me figure out that this was the place I wanted to go. Also, many people raved about Kathy’s work and their hair looked great, so I was determined to get my cut done by her.
I called to set the appointment for next day for my hair cut (Sat) and possibly a consultation for dyeing and highlighting my hair with Kathy. She is definitely a busy busy lady! She was able to sneak me into an afternoon slot to cut my hair, but wasn’t able to dye my hair. Looks like she gets booked quick on the weekends by her regulars, so you may need to call a week in advance to set up an appointment.
They are also closed on Sundays and she is off on Mondays.
I walked in and was greeted by Kathy and waited a couple minutes while she finished up with her client and then she immediately took me back to wash my hair. She was gentle and quick. She asked me how I wanted my hair cut, I showed her a picture and we had no issues with communication in regards to how I want my hair cut and layers to look. I wanted to keep the length, so asked her to cut a maximum of about 2 inches.
It’s pretty weird and not like me, but I felt like I could trust her off the bat. She seemed to just know what’s up! I loved that vibe.
We talked here and there, but sparingly. It didn’t bother me that she is a woman of minimal words, she’s a professional — plus fake blabber and random forced conversation is more awkward anyways.
She answered all of my questions and she is very knowledgeable about hair health, cutting, and styling. Kathy made my hair fun and flirty. It looks 100 times healthier too. She did exactly what I asked her to do.
I’m glad I trusted her, she’s a talented stylist!
