Business Owner

Owner and operator of Benson’s, Jodi Marshall, spent the majority of her life in a dental office. With a dentist husband and a career as a dental assistant turned practice manager, it seemed as though Jodi only knew teeth. But those closest to her knew that she was really a passionate home decorator at heart. With her flair for interior design coming through in her own home, her desire was to create an avenue where she could apply her love and passion of timeless furniture pieces, distinctive fabrics and unique home accessories into the homes of others.

Benson’s has become just that. Jodi has created a one-​of-​a-​kind store with exclusive pieces and has been able to successfully incorporate her newly developed admiration for upcycled furniture. She saw a niche that needed to be filled, and is delighted to hear customers often say that there isn’t another store like hers in Las Vegas.

My goal isn’t to trash on a company, and a week after my experience I’m still pretty upset about it, so I wanted to warn others.
The store has a lot of very cute items, I came in with my Mom on Saturday Jan 9th. The store was not busy and the only employee was at the back of the store which has a view of the door. The employee I guess was just too engaged with the one other customer in the store to ever acknowledge us. We looked around and through the whole store and even after the ONE other customer left, the employee didn’t acknowledge us. It made me feel like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when she was out shopping on Rodeo Drive and no one would help her.

So dang cute! Everything there is something I would want in my home. Really cool hole in the wall kind of place, with a very nice owner. A lot of their stuff is discounted sometimes so don’t be discouraged by the ticket prices that you see out right.

Benson’s is amazing! You will walk in this store and want to buy everything in it! Not only will you love imagining the creative and unique ways you can decorate your home, but you will want to buy every special person in your life a gift, because Benson’s has something for everyone. I bought gifts for my friends and family (birdhouses, decorative measuring spoons, a sign for a toddler’s room that says «You wake him, you take him») and ended up buying an initial pendant necklace for myself.
They also host classes on painting furniture, since they are experts at refinishing gorgeous furniture (which is also for sale in the store). Benson’s is a family owned business and you feel welcome the second you walk in the door. Once you are a familiar customer you will feel like family.

First off love love love this place, I’m so happy centennial is finally getting great places to shop. They have amazing stuff and priced right. They have everything you can possible think of or need. I went in here looking for a last minute gift and ended up getting a few things for myself as well. The sales people are so nice and welcoming, your not rushed to get what you want and leave. I must have spent an hour in this store just looking at everything.
So if your looking for a gift that’s either unique or personal come check this place out. I’m sure they’ll have something your looking for.

I’m a fan for sure!
My friend Ines has been telling me (and telling me, and telling me, and telling me… she’s persistent:)) that I have GOT to come to Benson’s. And she was completely right. This place rules! So now I’m going to tell you, dear Unilocal friends… you have GOT to come to Benson’s! As a Northwest Vegas homer I’ve seen too many places I liked in this same strip mall come and go. So for goodness sakes let’s get Benson’s the business they deserve!
Benson’s has reasonably priced and adorable baby goods, cute hats and scarfs, hand carved frames and a surprisingly varied and impressive selection of jewelry. I was smitten like a kitten over several of the spoon rings and had to fight my urge to buy, buy, buy. In the end I just walked out with a dish towel, which we do technically «need». That doesn’t mean I won’t be back for those spoon rings, though:)
