The smoothies here are delicious! They have a big selection of protein bars, powders, and drinks to supplement your workout. The people working here are very nice. I ordered a smoothie and they let me customize it.

When I was at City Athletic, Bodi Café was my favorite treat after a workout. Iris Kyle is an inspiration and such a sweet person. Unfortunately, I don’t go to City Athletic anymore, but I still miss the best smoothies in town.

Forget about $ 5 footlongs, it’s all about $ 5 smoothies on Tuesdays! Bodi Café, a small spot inside the City Athletic Club, sells a list of about 10 smoothies in small(20oz) and large(32oz) sizes for a flat $ 5 every single Tuesday. It’s a steal. First drink here to try them out was the banana-nut. I added cinnamon at the suggestion of the employee(yum!) and espresso beans($ 1 extra). The 32oz is massive and was more than enough for both my pre– and post-workout beverage. Bonus points for having a sheet of nutritional info available with the stats on each smoothie, including calorie counts for each size. I’ll be making this spot my regular Tuesday stop before hitting the nearby LVAC! EDIT: Hawaiian Harvest is another tasty shake, but my new favorite is the Chocolate Thinny Mint with Burn Fat Burn and chocolate protein powder.

Located inside the City Athletic Club on W. Sahara near Buffalo, the Bodi Café had been on our radar for a while now since the b/f and I knew that two of its co-owners were professional bodybuilders, Iris Kyle and Hide Yamagishi. One day last week, Mel and I were at a gym on the other side of town and, lo and behold, Ms. Kyle was there, too, with all of her glorious muscles. «Look, Mel! It’s Iris Kyle! Look at her legs! Her quads are massive!» We tried not to stare at her as she was working on the lying leg curl machine in front of us, but it’s not every day this happens. After all, she’s been Ms. Olympia 11 times, a female bodybuilding legend. Just Google her and you’ll see. So, of course, I had to go talk to her. «Uh, Ms. Kyle, I’m a big fan.» I said something like that and then I was just going to leave her alone since she probably gets approached all the time by nerds like me. But then she asked me my name and then we started chatting about competing, workouts, and Bodi Café. Long story long, I told her the b/f and I would stop by the café later that day and we did. Iris was there armed with a selfie stick to take a group picture of us. Apparently she loves her selfie stick and is very social on social media, just like she is in real life. I had her signature Ms Olympia Energy Bomb smoothie the first time we went: chocolate whey protein, banana, strawberry, blueberry, and oatmeal. Loaded with 40g of protein, it was definitely much tastier than my plain old whey shake – thanks, fruit! The second time we went, I tried the Body Builder since it’s lower carb: soy milk, banana, chocolate whey protein, and creatine. The shakes can be modified according to your dietary needs if you need more or less carbs or protein. Add-ins for .99 include creatine, l-glutamine, immune support, fat burner, whey or soy protein, espresso beans, and more. The café also has other nutritional supplements, snacks, and drinks for sale, including Quest and Oh Yeah bars, Lenny and Larry’s cookies, Isopure, Lana’s Egg Whites, pre-packaged protein meals with nutrition info listed, and the like. On Tuesdays, all shakes are only $ 5 for either the 20 oz or 32 oz; that’s a bargain considering that the supplements included in many of them cost much more. The b/f’s favorite smoothie, the Italian Phoenix, has 6 egg whites along with all of the other stuff. We’ll probably be here on Tuesdays a lot. Thanks for being so friendly, Iris – she’s definitely a world-class athlete without an ego. Maybe you’ll see her when you drop by, too – get ready to smile for the selfie stick. * You don’t have to be a member of City Athletic to go to the café. We went to our gym for a workout first then headed here for our post-workout smoothies.

My fiancé and I stopped by here while in Las Vegas over Thanksgiving and loved it! The smoothies were nutritious and delicious(my fiancé got the Ms Olympia and I got Chris’ Special) and they were more than happy to allow us to customize them to meet our nutritional needs. They have an excellent selection of quality supplements at good prices, as well as samples of many of their supplements. They also have a great selection of women’s workout clothes imported from Brazil(I got an amazing pair of Wonder Woman leggings for my fiancé) as well as other high quality pieces of workout clothes and gear for men and women. They also have prepared healthy meals from the Protein Source restaurant that are perfect for the fitness buff on the go. While we were there, we got to meet one of the owners 10 time Ms. Olympia Iris Kyle; she was warm, friendly, and had some great advice for both of us as competitors, and she takes great pride in her business and in their supplement selection. She also signed the limited edition Women’s Pre-Contest Bible that we picked up there with a special message for my fiancé. I wish every gym had a Bodi café in it, he experience was wonderful and I highly recommend stopping by for any bodybuilder, athlete or fitness enthusiast that is in Vegas!

Brand new smoothie café inside the City Athletic Club. The staff are all really friendly and open to suggestions and ideas about their smoothies. All the smoothies I’ve had so far have all been really tasty! The MsOlympia Energy Bomb is the most popular. I really like the Java Jolt or just adding coffee beans to the MsOlympia Energy Bomb. They also have meals, snacks, supplements, and various gym supplies for sale. They carry Manbake products which is awesome. One of the staff members, April, cracks me up. I love chatting with her. Great people, great products and inside the best gym in the valley.
