Boulder Station Hotel & Casino

Last year I came here and asked if I could check in early and the lady at the front desk made it happen. But this year we called ahead of time and asked over the phone if we could check in early and they said you can check in at 8. We drove 6 hours from San Diego thinking we were gonna be able to check in at 8 like they said. Now the lady at front desk is saying she doesn’t have rooms available until 2 without even going on the computer and checking. And the parking lot is EMPTY DONT LIE TO A CUSTOMER AND SAY THERE ARE NO ROOMS AVAILABLE. So now we have to sit in the parking lot tired on the verge of falling asleep in the Las Vegas heat! This is absolute garbage! Last time staying at this hotel

We always go to Boulder to gamble and to drink. We are locals so it’s the best option by far. We love everything about Boulder except today when I went I had a voucher for a free cocktail of my choice. It said I bring it up to the bartender and they’ll make me whichever cocktail I choose. Except as I went up to the bartender he said it’s only for a lime margarita. Whatever, so I get my margarita and on the cup it said it was 99 cent margaritas for locals. So my free voucher was actually for a dollar drink. Really? either he lied or that’s the stupidest coupon I’ve ever heard of.

This was not a planned stop. We were traveling and decided to stop for the night. We were traveling with a large pick up truck and a 25ft enclosed cargo trailer. We parked along the edge of the parking right out in front of the casino in a well lit area. We went in and got a room. There were three of us. They told us we were getting two queen beds and while they were checking us in they said all they had were King rooms left. They offered to put a roll away in the room. We were tired so we agreed.
We spent an hour or so gambling then we went and ate at the Boulder Station buffet which was not too bad. At 8 pm we went out to our truck to get my blanket. We looked all over and could not find our truck or trailer anywhere. We went back inside and reported our missing vehicles. They called a security officer. He was extremely helpful but did not have good news for us. Our vehicles had been stolen! He said it is a fairly common occurrence in this area. They had security cameras but they were not interested in looking at them. They told us that the thieves are smart and they put themselves in a place where the cameras couldn’t see them. The police were called but because this was a non emergency, they did not respond until 8:00 the next morning.
While I understand that the hotel cannot be responsible for thieves, they were not sympathetic at all. We asked for special consideration in staying another night and they would not help us out at all. When we checked out at the front desk asked us how our stay was. We told them it wasn’t very good at all, and that their hotel had no compassion at all. They had nothing to say. We decided to leave.
We will never be back.

As of this moment I am currently in dispute with what this hotel has charged me for my weekend stay.
Joy Watson the hotel manager has been difficult and confrontational in trying to resolve this matter.
Long story short. I used an offer code to get a price for Memorial Day weekend. I received a confirmation number via email. I was then notified that I could not use this code at which point my call was transferred to a Tony Vega whom stated that the rate would be the same as on the offer code. In addition my sister was on the line listening as well.
Upon arrival to the hotel I was notified of the high rate to which I advised her of the issue. She said there were notes on the computer but to go ahead and sign the paper. I put my own notes regarding the situation on the paper.
Well they charged me the total and gave me the phone recordings of all the conversations EXCEPT the one which states the situation.
Sneaky ?? I think so

Stayed here a while back. Let me start by saying, I have stayed, at the Mandalay Bay, the Mansions at the MGM, so on and so on, I think you get the point. The hotel is located off the main area of most hotels in LV, it reminders me of what LV was back in the day.
We were invited to see BJ Thomas here by our sweet wonderful neighbors, so we thought, why not. I am just going to jump right in… In no particular order here — BJ can sign like no other, even being I’ve never really heard his music, well that’s not true, when he started signing I’ve heard some of those songs being that my mom would play his music loudly on the car radio, back in the day, but frankly, the room where the concerts was held in the hotel was fab!!! It was such a nice venue within the hotel, the size of the room made it so everyone had a great seat. ‘1’ point so far!
Secondly, the lobby is neat and clean, check-​in was a plus and the service was warm and friendly — so now there are ‘2’ points).
While waiting for our friends, we decided to eat at the Mexican café or restaurant — it’s has patio seating (there are different salsa’s to choose from), O M G, best salsa ever!!! And the Margaretta was AMAZING! Who new! Would definitely go there again, hands down. So there you have it, we are already up to ‘3’ points (on the scale of 1 to 5, 5 being best).
Off to our room… Now here is the real test. But let’s be honestly, when most are in LV, it’s for the shows, gambling, food and pools. Yes, we want a clean room, but very little time is spent there — well for most anyway (insert wink). Open the door to our room, and what a surprise. Clean (bathroom was clean), neat (everything had its place), nothing overly fancy, yet the rooms were updated, and the bed was actually comfortable… and that was good for us. Honestly, I was actually surprised. I didn’t know what to think before goin. But all in all it was nice! The whole hotel is clean. So now we are up to ‘4’ points.
We had dinner that night at «The Broiler» in the hotel. This place is a hidden gem, the food was Franfrickentastic! The Steaks was so good, that truly it was just as good if not better than any Ruth Chris, Morton’s I’ve been too. I highly recommend, going out of your way, just to have dinner here, I was shocked I tell ya, my dinner was delicious!!! Kudo to whoever is the chef! Drum Roll — Dinner that evening, putting the hotel into the 5 star category.
And that my UnilocalER friends, is why I gave this hotel ‘5’ stars. They earned it!

Very unhappy with our stay. We were going to stay longer but was very unhappy and made reservations at the rio instead. 1^st we were quoted 70 for our night, when we arrived it was over 100. We also requested 2 beds and we were given one. My mom smokes and wanted a smoking room they gave her non. Upon tell the lady at registration that we requested 2 beds and smoking she replied in exact words «I would request a million dollars;but, don’t mean I will get it». After some time, and anger we finally got a 2 bed smoking room. 2^nd when you turn on the water it has a sewer smell, 3^rd carpet coming off the wall and a staple poked my foot. 4^th, the water pressure in the shower was super bad. 5^th the beds were the most uncomfortable, very hard, like sleeping on the floor.
We wanted to make this our go to when we come to vegas because it has things to keep kids and adults happy, however, after this stay I will never be back .
Bad service, bad beds, bad smell and pricey for what you get. For over a 100 so many nicer places in vegas

Needed a place to crash for one night and I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and large the rooms are! I would stay here again and I am PICKY about where I lay my head.

Great property although far away from strip and downtown. Everything clean, updated and friendly staff. Just arrived, but restaurants and bars look delicious and very affordable. Only downfall is the pool. There is a reason only two people were sitting by it. Small, square, boring, in shade, no jacuzzi. It is however accessible. I come for the pool, my husband the gambling and pure excitement of «Vegas». I vote «eh»…

I was always told you get what you pay for and $ 35 is exactly what I got when I stayed here. The rude check-​in did not help thank you Kerri for that. The room was clean and ready for me. The bed was moderately comfortable. The pillows were not comfortable (bring your own or go to walmart down the street)
I have stayed at the Sunset Station many times before and this was the first time at the boulder station. I stayed an extra night at a different hotel in Henderson that was not attached to a Casino and I slept very well…

. In addition to the room charge, I was charged a resort fee. This is a bogus fee that most Las Vegas hotels charge. So be aware of the fee when booking.
This hotel is very basic and self service. There isn’t even a coffee /​tea maker in your room. If you want to know where to find anything outside of the hotel, use your smart phone. The front desk is polite but unhelpful.
My room was fairly quiet and tastefully decorated. It was a ³⁄₅ on the cleanliness and maintenance scale. However, I did get a good rate on the hotel, so I won’t complain too much.
I was given a coupon for a free dessert at Grand Café with purchase of an entrée. My $ 9.99 entrée cost $ 13.00. Thete is a $ 1 charge for takeout. So on the price side — I didn’t think it was the best deal.
I played Pai Gow poker while here, and all the dealers were friendly and nice. My money lasted awhile.
I stayed 2 nights at this hotel and it ok for a lower price point hotel.

Upon arrival I requested a smoking room the room I booked was supposed to be a king bed the room I got was a non-​smoking room and two queen beds my husband is a large man so I really needed the king bed and he is in a cast so he has to have his arm raised.
On top of that the lady at the front desk sent this to an entrance that was closed again my husband has a broken arm and we had to carry her bags through the whole Lobby when we ask for help they refused to give us help from a Bellboy.
When we went up to the room I was going to take a nap when I pulled the sheets off the bed there was hair on the bed on the other queen bed there was blood on the sheets or poop I could not tell what but that is just nasty.
I talked to Cliff Martine twice he refused to do anything for us he told us we could leave and he could give us a full refund but that was it he was not willing to put us in a smoking room or a room with a king bed he also refused to do anything to help with the situation besides change the sheets which I would have liked to take a nap when I first got here not wait a half an hour to take a nap after the sheets for changed.
So therefore I would not stay here unless you want a dirty bed. Or get put in the wrong room I really feel this establishment needs to get their stuff together
The only plus side is their bathroom was very clean

This is a late review since I forgot to write it when we first came. We decided to come here and there was a total of 4 of us. Well since it was my first time coming here I had no idea there would be a line stretched out of the door. I think we may have stood in line for about 45 minutes to an hour. Although we were hungry it didn’t seem that long since we were talking and watching everyone play the slot machines.
Well let’s get started. There is food from different countries Mexican, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, and of course American. I tried to eat one item from every area and all of it was pretty good. I absolutely love the variety they had and the food was fresh and wasn’t sitting there long looking all dried and and yucky like Golden Corral. I usually avoid these kind of places because I never eat enough to get my money’s worth but I sure got it this time.
I will be returning again on a really hungry day so I can enjoy every single bite of my food and leave stuffed and satisfied.
Check it out just beware there will always be a line. And make sure you get a player’s card even though you may not play it will give you a little bit of a discount.

Avoid this place at all costs.
Booked this hotel for $ 164. When I checked in, they told me I need to pay a $ 100 deposit that
didn’t mention.
After the manager checked
, he came back and told me that the $ 100 deposit was in fact mentioned on the website. That was a bad lie, because I pulled out my phone and showed him the website so that he can see that it really isn’t.
After I asked him to show me where it says I need to pay the $ 100 deposit that I didn’t have in my checkings account, he said they don’t have Internet lol.
Afterwards, he told me it wasn’t my fault but I wasn’t going to get a room. Well, I eventually figured out how to get the money, but that wasn’t the end of it.
While
says I only needed to pay a $ 13.99 fee, they ended up telling me it was $ 13.99 PER NIGHT.
So yeah, they really know how to screw you over with the fine print/​no print.
Avoid at all costs.

The servers can have a bit of an attitude and can be rude in the sportsbook area. I wished they had negative star statutes. Because they deserved it today. I asked one of the waitresses for a bottle of water, and she told me «oh you need a drink ticket…» I’m like FOR WATER?!? She’s like «yeah»… I’m like ok… Nvm. It’s like pulling teeth for ANYTHING UNLESS you are putting money into the casino. I’m not like everyone else, I know how to maneuver around stuff. OAN another time I asked the server for a daiquiri and she’s like «oh we don’t do daiquiris here…» REALLY!?! UGHHHH. this is why I just stick to the 99 cent margaritas at the bar so I can avoid this type of crap. And the margarita machine wasn’t freezing and I didn’t want to walk on the other side of the casino to get one.

I stayed here for a night last week on a spur-​of-​the-​moment trip. I’d never been to Boulder, but I got a very cheap rate through Priceline ($ 20 plus resort fees), and I pounced on it.
I got here around 9:30 p.m. on Monday night, and the casino was deader than dead. I didn’t anticipate a raucous atmosphere or anything, but it wasn’t even worth sitting down at a blackjack table. As such, I checked into my room, and service at the front desk was pleasant enough.
I had a room on the 11^th floor, and I was pleasantly surprised. The bed was comfortable, the room itself was spacious, and it wasn’t a bad place to spend a night on a budget. It’s not someplace I’d recommend staying for a longer stretch of time, but for what I needed, it absolutely did the job.

I come here about 3X a year when my dad is in town to gamble.
The buffet line is ALWAYS super long. It must be good lol.
Pretty big casino, lots of slots and table games for sure.
There are several casinos on Boulder HIghway and this is the best one with the most options and Im not choking on smoke when I walk in.

It’s a locals casino– sign up for their card, and you’ll get dining coupons and upcoming gaming contest info about once a month by mail. The gaming floor is grimy and smoky with mostly older slot machines, but the staff tend to be friendly and polite. The sports book is huge, with tons of screens and seats, but the poker room is small and usually pretty dead.
Dining options include a steakhouse (The Broiler) with a good salad bar, and some sad by-​the-​slice pizza, and a mediocre Mexican counter. Luckily, other «attractions» include a movie theater, bowling alley, and live music theater.

Parking lots full up because it’s Wednesday, senior day. You can get a free Starbucks.
Feast Buffet, good food and server, but the manager actually approached us as I left, because I was clutching a small cookie that I could not finish. She made a big deal out of it, meanwhile letting other people walk out with bananas in hand.
Played slots, but we could not get drinks. We made eye contact with the waitress, but no luck. Of course, we were there over an hour. It was 1:30 pm. others were getting drinks, but… No luck from any quarter.
One hundred dollars less rich, and sans banana or cookie, we went up to our room, got dressed, went downtown.

Nice, relaxed locals casino.
I always like to stay here for a night, when coming to Vegas.
The rooms are fine and spacious. Nothing to complain.
Large casino with many choices to gamble.
