My family and I ate here and it has really gone down hill. As the other reviews state the rolls are low quality. Food is not fresh tasting, they should not serve sushi, much better sushi places in town. Soup was good. Rest of the food not very good. The ratings here are right on.

My friend and I have been going to the Oyster Bar for years. We would have a few beers at the Sportsbook bar and then treat ourselves to some linguini and clams. So, last night, we walked up to the Oyster Bar to notice that they changed the name. What is this? A pager? Now we have to get a reservation? They said a 30 minute wait time. Now we had to go find a seat at the closest bar. Not cool… Finally get in. Seen a few same people working there. Very nice people. We sat down and my friend looks at all the white tiled walls and says that it feels like he’s in a surgery room. I didn’t care for it either. Very bright and uncomfortable. We ordered the fried oysters and linguini. As we were waiting, we actually had to ask for bread. It was the WORST bread I’ve ever had. Disgusting!!! Our meal came. Very small portion. I told my friend I should’ve ordered 2 portions. I was hungry when I left. I doubt that I’ll ever go back. Very disappointed.

I had a great experience. I ordered the California Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and the Ahi Tuna Tacos. Everything tasted great and was very reasonably priced. The staff was attentive and never kept me waiting.

Oysters were ok. service was excellent! Ordered shrimp cocktail which had these big shrimps. also ordered lobster Mac and cheese. also yummy! The mussels in white wine were my favorite! My bae ordered the steak. Which wasn’t really a peice of steak. it was like 3 peices of steak but he liked it. The bread they give you kinda suck .its cold and seem like it came out of a bag.

Seafood is amazing! I love the new décor, and the service is fast and friendly. If you sit at the bar, you can watch the chefs work their magic. The clams are fantastic, and very fresh. We didn’t get a chance to try the sushi, but others at the bar seemed to enjoy it. My top picks are the gigantic shrimp cocktail, and any of the seafood pasta dishes. My only complaint? They give you Hawaiian rolls. The sauces the seafood is served in are fantastic, but they are lost on the mushy balls of dough served. Please, bring back the crusty bread!

Thought I give the new owners a try since the original Oyster Bar got really bad. I first noticed that most of the cooks were the same with a few new faces. They didn’t seem to be enjoying their job as they did in the past. I ordered the pan roast and a beer. The server took my order promptly(it wasn’t very busy), but he didn’t bring any bread until he saw me looking around like I needed something. He asked me if I would like some bread with my meal and I said yes. He brought some rolls that were ice cold and looked like they were the kind that you would get at a 99 cent store. The pan roast came, it had maybe 5 small shrimp, about a 2 inch piece of a lobster claw, and some shredded crab meat with a scoop of rice. The sauce was ok, but missing something. Needless to say I was still hungry after eating and really didn’t care for the flavor of the sauce. You would think after a few months of bad reviews, the management would have caught on and made some improvements, unfortunately, for me the food is worse than it was before. I would rather wait in line for over an hour and a half at Palace Station and get really really great food for the same price. Maybe the owners, managers, and cooks should go there and see how a great pan roast is made!

Truly enjoyed a very nice dinner. Made sure to try a little of everything. Oysters from the cold bar, a tempura sushi roll and a wonderful Pan Roast. Asked for the Pan Roast to be a little spicy. And the chef was right on point. Service was pleasant and knowledgeable. All staff seemed to be in great spirits which made our visit even more enjoyable. Excited to return and try a few more entrees.

Whoa! For a $ 175 dollar bill I was very disappointed with the food. My husband ordered the scampi and it was average and was served with no bread. The oysters were good but they failed to shell them properly so we had some extra work ahead of us. When I told the server he just chuckled and walked away. The sushi we ordered was the rainbow roll, spicy tuna roll and an eel roll. I’m very positive that they pre-roll all the sushi because the rice was dry and the«fresh» tuna and salmon were pale. We sent it back due to fear it would make us severely sick. My mouth about dropped to the floor when the Manager Laura spoke to the table next to us. They ordered the steamed clams and had the server bring new broth because it was bland. When they received their bill they asked for a manager and Laura came over to speak with them. I couldn’t believe it when she looked at the guest that ordered it and said«well… You ate it didn’t you?! Are you still hungry?!?» My mouth dropped to the floor. I couldn’t believe it when she told them she was taking the steamed clams off she pretty much blamed it on the guest and said to next time tell us. That manager is so oblivious, they did and she should’ve walked to the table that moment it happened. She is out of her mind if she thinks they are coming back. This was our first and last time here. Don’t serve things like sushi if you don’t have the space to make it fresh and get a manager that can diffuse a situation. Coaching moment Laura: tell your guest you’ll give them a voucher to come back once you fix the issues your staff made. Own it!

We were anxious to try the new oyster bar close to home & welcomed Brigg’s into the neighborhood at the Suncoast. Since we’re quite the fans of the Tides at GVR, our expectations were set. It was a bustling night on Friday and we found the atmosphere to be New Yorkish, which was just fine with my Brooklyn-born partner. He ordered the fish & chips & I chose the seafood salad. His two pieces of fish were lightly breaded & cooked just right, the seasoned fries delicious, & though not a coleslaw fan, he loved it. My salad, however, was another matter. It was like a tossed salad, contained 5 small shrimp, a tiny bit of crab, avocado/bacon/eggs, too much yellow lettuce, a very thick dressing, & was devoid of flavor. I requested bread & was given Parker House-type rolls. Every seafood Cobb salad I’ve eaten in L.V. is layered, with the ingredients circling the plate so you can see it all, certainly containing bigger shrimp(& crab you needn’t search for), and more palatable than Brigg’s. Since this is a fish & seafood establishment, and serving Cioppino, I would expect San Francisco sourdough bread(as in Boudoin’s), just for openers. The oyster fans next to us heartily agreed. I am hoping my comments will be taken into consideration & will give this new restaurant another try, but not just yet.

Please note… I have eaten at the new Briggs 4 times prior to writing this review. Briggs took over the Oyster Bar inside of the SunCoast Casino and to be perfectly honest, I’m quite disappointed. It’s not that I don’t like change, because I do, but only when change is positive. I was a regular at the Oyster Bar and got to know all the employees and food and my experiences were never short of amazing! Anyways they switch over to Briggs but I notice many familiar faces behind the counter so I’m thinking«great!» I was wrong. The menu has some what changed and the décor is now more modern(which looks nice) but the energy within the restaurant has completely shifted. While I used to feel so welcome and excited to come here as a regular(think of Cheers); the last few times I felt very rushed like I was just another number. They now just dump your food at your table and disappear. I could tell it was under new management because everyone marched around like they were robots rather than people servicing the customer. So sad to see the awesome energy disappear. That’s what truly made this place special. I thought of it as a hidden gem; now it’s just another Vegas restaurant trying to turn a buck. I had to send my food back 2 out of 4 times because it came out cold. It’s not that is wasn’t cooked fresh; because it was… They just didn’t run it out to the table fast enough so my awesome fresh food was sad and cold. It seems Briggs is trying to be a 5 star bistro but they serve cold dinner rolls out of a BAG. Yuck! With all this negative things I have had to say… If I could I would certainly give some staff 5 stars. Glenn is the master of sushi! His sushi is sooo magical! I’ve also had amazing experiences with Bobby, Luis, Eric, and Pam also. They are all really great at service! 5 million stars for them! As for as the food is concerned… I recommend all the sushi. The fish tacos are to die for(if they come out hot.) I like their lobster roll but it is super rich so I can’t eat too much of it. My husband really loves their panroast. Their crab cakes are so gross… Tried it twice and hated them both times. Lol Maybe the they are just working out the kinks but did I mention cold rolls from a bag… Wth. Geez. Lol I’ll hope it gets better since the SunCoast is my Casino of choice.

Food was okay — service was not. Entire party had their meals done before the 5th was even served(fish and chips). Server insisted the kitchen was backed up but we purchase other items from the kitchen. I believe the server never entered the order but wouldnt be honest with us. If I were in charge of the bill I would have given a less then favorable tip.

This spot is located just inside the East Doors of the Sun Coast Casino. You head up the escalators and turn right. It sits between the steak house and the Italian restaurant. The dining area is small, but they have a sushi bar type atmosphere where you can sit at the counter and watch your food be prepared. We ordered the oysters on the half shell. I think they were about $ 18(reasonable price). The oysters were excellent. They were very fresh tasting, but they were gulf coast oysters and I was not aware that they also had cold water oysters available. I would have rather had the cold water oysters, but I did not find out until after dinner when I was talking to the cook. The server should let you know that you have a choice of oysters from different regions when you are ordering. We also ordered the steamed mussels, which came with the standard butter and lemon sauce. The mussels were also very fresh tasting. I ordered the fish & chips for my entrée. They use tempura as their batter for the cod. You get two pieces with fries and cole slaw. The fish was pretty good. Was not greasy at all. The cole slaw comes with roasted corn and bacon mixed in it. I don’t eat pork, so one of the cooks mixed me some fresh slaw with just the roasted corn and no bacon. That was nice of him. The service was very good overall. I would say excellent, but they forgot our bread basket. It was also very slow when I was there, so I can’t say how good or bad the service is when it is busy. I will definitely be back and I would recommend that you give it a try. The total bill was $ 72.00 for a dozen oysters, a dozen steamed mussels, 2 orders of fish & chips, one Blue Moon. and one soda.

This place looks cool but the service is pretty slow and it’s not even that busy. I got a dozen oysters and asked them to give me the smallest ones they had. They came out with these huge oysters instead totally disregarding my order. I sent them back and they brought out much smaller ones the second time. But they didn’t bring any sauce so I had to wait for the set up of sauces. I also ordered the linguini and clams and that was soooo over cooked I couldn’t even eat it, it was absolutely terrible and that is something I love to eat so I was very disappointed. The pasta was very mushy and the sauce was so thick it was awful I could only eat the 5 clams on top. So after an hour I am still hungry I wouldn’t recommend this spot at all. However my server was very sweet and didn’t charge me for the linguini and clams that she could tell I didn’t like even tho I didn’t say anything about not liking it.
