History

Established in 2008.

Cariloha began in the hearts and minds of a group of individuals who had such a love for the Caribbean Islands and Hawaii that they wanted nothing more than to create a style and material that would be perfect for the island lifestyle. From this came an idea to use a proprietary blend of bamboo to create a soft, lightweight material.

We are all familiar with bamboo as a hard stick, but did you know it is three degrees cooler than cotton? As it turns out, bamboo wicks away moisture and repels odors and allergens better than cotton and many other materials!

We started with just three stores, and now we have 47 throughout the Islands, Hawaii and the United States.

The owners of this store were so taken by the unique products and friendly atmosphere they found in Cariloha stores throughout the Caribbean that they decided they wanted to open one of their own.
