Cheese Boy Comics

I went in to find a couple items for my young children (2 and 4). The cashier was very helpful and they had a great selection of not only comics for my age, but my kids as well. They will have my return business for sure. Thank you for the great experience.

Convenient that they are open on Sunday. Prices are just a little higher than normal, but have a good selection.

It’s a little pricey, however most comic book stores are. I love the games selection, I hope they add more in the future.
I give 4 stars because it’s kind of cluttered inside, however the employees I have seen are polite.

I love this shop. Every time I come in the staff are super friendly and make me feel welcome. Infact the first time I stopped by *last year* my handicapped best friend was with me and she was having a high pain day. One of the staff gave her a chair. This is the neighborhood comic shop I have longed for since the one in my home town closed. I will be coming here for my Comics as long as I live in Vegas!

Came in on a whim to find a random board game that I suddenly *really* want and despite not having it in store the store manager called 4 different stores in the area to help me see if they have it in stock just so I don’t have to drive around in vain. Turns out the other stores doesn’t have it either but the level of service and customer care here is top notch!

Nice place friendly staff but from a serious collectors point of view not the greatest place if your looking for high end books or back issues. As a big place for the kids to play their card games it sometimes is hard to move around the store and at times I have had my small children with me and alot of the kids playing games use profanity. Overpriced on the silver age books and not a good selection of back issues or statues. I would recommend if all your looking for is the latest issue of a favorite character. Again very friendly staff and always asking if you need help. Overall I think it’s a nice local shop thats perfect to stop in and grab new issues.

I’m honestly not in to comics or table games, but I often walk by this business when going to the super market/​library. There’s always a good vibe coming from the customers hanging outside. When I’ve gone in to look a couple times, the service was very good.
Excellent to see a small business doing well. Check it out if you’re into comics.

Super friendly and helpful, when I asked, «Who is the cheese boy?», the lady called out for a man named Colby, I couldn’t believe his name was Colby, best store name ever.

If you’re looking for a friendly place for games, comics, cards or cloths, this is your place.
Definitely the most helpful, patient and organized place in town.
They host many game/​card nights and are incredibly nice to every customer.
The have a good selection of current comics and although their back issue area isn’t huge, it’s very well priced an better organized then any other place in town.
They update everything in the store regularly and their pull service is digital now, so they can make all kinds of accommodations.
All in all, if I’m looking for anything comic/​game related, I go here first. Then depending if I need something they don’t happen to have, I go to other locations.

All new comics I buy from here. Period.
For back issues:
They seem to have the best prices and hardest to find ‘popular’ back issues.

MaximuM is my last choice due to selection and high price.
For cards:
This place should be your only go to for cards. They have a good selection, great deals and insanely patient and friendly staff that has a huge knowledge base on cards. I don’t recommend any other places.

Really dig this place, friendly owner, employees, & a fun crowd. Solid comic book selection at decent prices, & their really good about getting your comic if they dont have it.
Also if your a magic player they have a great standard selection, with a good chuck of everything else. Great with trade ins & events. Always love going here for events when I have the time. Give them a go if you’ve never been here before

The longer version:
I don’t buy comics, but there’s a bunch there. I do, however, play Magic (MTG), and Cheese Boy is my go-​to shop. Boosters are 3 for $ 10, and there’s a nice assortment of loose cards to buy. If you’re hanging out, you can purchase drinks (water, soda, energy drinks) from the cooler and snacks, all at decent prices. As an added bonus, there is a BATHROOM, and it is always clean. There are events nearly every night (or every night. I dunno… but everything from a board game night to Magic tournaments to D&D can be found at Cheese Boy). There’s a handy calendar set up in the back to check out. Plus, there are fun accessories, like MTG t-​shirts, Game of Thrones mugs, Doctor Who stuff, cute hand-​made bow-​ties, assorted card games, Star Wars toys… it’s a small shop, but Colby stocks it well. There’s a little something for every nerd.
In short:
Colby and all of the Cheese Boy employees are awesome. Like another poster mentioned, it’s kind of like Cheers, except in Las Vegas and not a bar. Come here for your cards, comics, and nerd accessories/​toys/​housewares. You will not regret it.

I come here every time im in Las Vegas Still the best comic book store I’ve been too. Got me 4 Dead pool comic for like 18 bucks but would have been close to 30 in Los Angeles area. Come check them out for great prices on your favorite comic books and if you duel with magic the gathering hit them up they have a big dueling community there.

Cheese Boy Comics is AWESOME! Nestled sweetly around the bend of Smith’s. Great vibe when you walk in. Always greeted with HUGE smile from Owner Colby. I agree with Christopher B. it is like walking into Cheers! Minus the alcohol! Awesome Store!

Great place, great business. Makes the locals feel at home. His back issues are usually a dollar and his «wall worthy» issues are at a great price. I’m not know by my pull box number, it’s just the fact I walk in Colby notices and bam I have my pull in front of me. We exchange a few nerdy grunts of approval and I’m on my way. This guy treats his customers right and it shows. Everyone here feels at home. Would recommend to anyone who reads comics, plays games or even wants to support local small businesses not just out to get your money!

This place embodies that old Cheers theme song lyric «You want to go where everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came» Of course Cheese Boy Comics isn’t a bar run by an old ball player named Sam, it’s run by Colby, one of the coolest Comic Dudes on the planet. This guy has major geek cred and has great passion for his wares. I’m not much into cards but the comics keep me coming back as well as the cool niche merchandise featured in the shop. I recommend the place to all my friends of multiple geek variety.

Great selection of comics and goodies, can always count on having the newest comics. Plus the pizza joint next door is bomb!

This place is awesome! Colby The shop owner is probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet. They hold weekly Magic the gathering tournaments on Fridays with a $ 5 entry fee, Sundays are board game days where everyone is invited to play tons of different kinds of fun board games for free. Great prices on everything too! There are also a lot of very friendly regulars at the shop that hang out almost everyday and are willing to help and play games with anyone. I highly recommend this shop for everyone!

Colby, the owner, is super friendly and the people that hang out at the store are really cool. Colby take his time to ensure that every customer is served properly. The prices of his comics are fair. There are too many stores that charge crazy amounts for variants. His price for variants? cover price, and they are displayed where very other comics are: on the wall. I have bought hundreds of dollars of back issues from this store, and the owner has always given me a great price on back issues. He understands great service and good prices on comics bring people back. There are toys and Magic the Gathering cards, too. There is a big screen T.V. where the customers play video games for free. If you want great priced comics, amazing service, and an affable owner, this is the place to shop.
