Chile verde is awesome! A hidden gem inside choice gas station in the SW! Any1 that compares this place to Robertos or don tortaco is insane! Everything’s made to order & fresh! I won’t go to Robertos, fuestos etc anymore after coming here!

I have been to this place twice. The first time no one even acknowledged me at the register so I left. The second time I actually ordered and then was told they only take cash. Honest to God. Bring cash if you want to eat here. I haven’t been able to eat here yet.

Very good food but the 25 minutes for a simple burrito was abhorrent. It’s only one person there so he is very bogged down with orders. It took me 14 minutes before he could even take my order. Think smart, hire someone else and you would be able to do many many more orders. I will never come back simply because of the ridiculous wait.

Who would have imagined such good food in a Choice Gas Station!!! It is a lunch counter run by two people. A woman with a well perfected resting b! tch face and the cook humping away to crank out good food. The two of them are working hard due to the amount of food they crank out for all the hungry foodies that have discovered this gem. Copious amounts of food with great flavor. I ordered the carne asada nachos and a cheese quesadilla. Both were delivered hot and fresh. You are going to have to wait for the food. Each order is prepared as it is placed and there is just one guy cooking. But I can tell you that it is worth the wait. Take a seat at the counter, watch the soccer playing on the TV or just watch the cast of characters that come in and out of the gas station in Las Vegas. Both can be entertaining.

This is an awesome taco spot hidden inside choice gas station. Try the off menu Jose Loco Burrito(carne asada fries burrito). Love love the food and service. They never disappoint!!!

My husband had his car smogged and went in to order the asada nachos and 2 fish tacos. Food was very good. Tacos were huge. He told me how the guy was speedy on the grill, taking orders and packing it up. I would definitely get food from there again.

Yes yes. It’s slow to get your order but that’s because it’s usually just one man running around like mad! He preps and makes everything and sometimes has help ringing orders. But the food is well worth the wait! Best part is if you go order and then get your car washed/detailed(you have the option of them filling your tank or repairing glass chips) this place is a one stop shop! His nachos are bomb. The fish tacos are to die for fresh. Even just getting a few mini tacos can fill you up and make you oh so happy! His red hot sauce is flaming hot and his verde salsa is oh so good!

I’m not big on using hyperbole, but I can honestly say this is the best burrito Ive eaten that came from a gas station! Ok, all kidding aside, this is a legit taqueria. My adobado burrito was big enough that I felt like it was a good value for the $ 5.75 I paid, but not so big that I feel uncomfortable afterwards. They also get points for NOT filling their burrito with lettuce(every bite you take WILL be Mexican goodness). Lesson of the day: don’t judge a burrito joint by its physical premise.

I was dubious about a taco shop inside of a gas station, but, whoo boy!, I was surprised. The place was extremely clean and the staff was friendly. But what takes the cake is the food. I had their carnitas burrito. It was stuffed with meat, beans, rice, guac and salsa. The tortilla was warm and tasted like it was handmade; there was a perfect amount of rice in the burrito that it did not seem as though they were trying to save money by making a burrito made with filler. I will be back.

The fish tacos are amazing! Chimichanga is the size of a football. Super nice hard working guy putting out legit Mexican food. Can’t get enough of this place! Try the chicken tacos too.

The food here is excellent, delicious, yummy, and all the other things you might say about a… wait for it… restaurant/take out/taqueria located in a fuel depot. In its defense however this is no regular fuel depot. This place has gambling(duh), a post office, and a car wash, oil change, smog, and in the Summer(sometimes) shaved ice. Everything my family and I have eaten here has been delicious, they LOVE the carne asada fries! I LOVE the«little-donkeys» and the«cheese sandwiches» so to speak. We used to go here much more often, however ordering for a large family takes the one man show quite a while to make(and time IS of the essence these days right?) as well as the biggest blow of all to me… he only accepts CA$H now… no more debit, no more credit. I don’t know about you, but even in this gambling town I pretty much don’t carry any cash(FYI would be pickpockets/thieves). So, if you are flush with cash, have lots of time, and want really good food to go, this is a great place to get it from. PS– the salsa, when he says hot is hot… he means it. My tabasco drinking days are behind me, however I can rest assured telling you, their red salsa is so hot, it is almost unpleasant to eat it on your food. Take care, don’t wait up for me okay?

Talk about ambiance, this micro-sized restaurant is located inside the convenience store at a Choice gas station. There were but 2 employees, one on the grill working his tail off and a laid back counter person taking orders. Most orders were to go, but we consumed our meal at the 5 – 6 seat counter. We each chose a pair of mini(street) adobada tacos that were amply filled with spicy meat though the could have been a notch better served with crema. I had to pay for our beverage separately from the cashier for the gas station/mini market.

Dont judge a book by its cover. This place is great. Good quality, great value, and is easy in and out. It does take a little while compared to the fast food alternative but its worth it. Had the carne asada fries. The portion was huge! I am no small man and I had plenty left over for a snack later. Quality is unreal. Well worth the trip.

Carne Asada Super Nachos for $ 7.99 — so good! Ingredients were fresh and lots of flavor. Huge portions of everything, especially meat. Cash only(no cards or checks). One person working(taking orders and making food). Went at 3:30pm and there was no wait. Seating — some bar stools(6 maybe). I didn’t see any tables though. Located inside the gas station.

The food here is fairly good, but definitely not worth the wait. There’s only 1 guy working so you can’t even place your order until he’s finished cooking all the orders in front of you. I waited 20 minutes JUSTTOPLACEMYORDER. There was 1 person in front of me. Usually my husband picks up from here and I can honestly say I’m never coming here again. You can’t place a phone order and the first time I came here, he was closed even though the hours said he should be open. How do you run a business like that? Oh and make sure you bring cash because they don’t accept credit, debit or checks. I give the food 3.5 stars but the service and extreme inconvenience 0 stars(hence the 2 star rating). Never. Again.

Wait a minute I can get some good quick Mexican food from inside a gas station while I’m getting my car washed and it’s not one of those big microwaved burritos?! Yes sir. Inside of the Sinclair Choice gas station you’ll find Chile Verde Express a small restaurant serving up some quick Mexican food similar to those from Roberto’s, Fausto’s, Don Tortaco, etc. If you take a look at their pictures the items that stands out were the nachos and fries so of course I had to have one of them. The carne asada fries was what I went with. Definitely one of the better I’ve had. I pretty much killed the entire container on my own in one sitting. I know I shouldn’t have done it but it was one of those moments where I kept eating and eating and before I knew it they were all gone. I don’t know what inside made it so good cause it looked like you typical carne asada fries. It had a lot of fries, a lot of meat, a lot of quac, cheese, it was full loaded to hit me in the mouth. Maybe it was magic, they did take longer than expected. I haven’t tried any of the other items yet but why would I want to. This is all I need why would I mess up a good thing. A few things about the place you want to remember when coming 1) It’s cash only. Yea I don’t know why businesses always do it. 2) It’s not super fast but not super slow. Being that it’s located at a gas station that also does full service car washes customers waiting might want to eat therefore a little waiting list. 3) Not really a place to dine unless you dont mind dining on a counter with a few stools in the middle of a gas.station. Other than that clean small place with a tv showing soccer. I’d be back for sure.

It’s inside of the gas station store. I walked around looking for this place outside and was confused for a moment there. Carne asada tacos– 3 star. Not the best ever, but good in Las Vegas. It definitely beats the other famous spot that has a 1 hour line called Tacos El Gordo. I’m giving up on Vegas in regards to mexican food – it just can’t beat california no matter what. I wasn’t too fond of the salsa verde or the red salsa. Chips were okay. I will report back after trying their burritos one day. The owner/cook is a machine – I’ve never seen someone so quick and efficient. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the man in action while eating.

A one man operation. The guy that works here is the only employee so he knows what’s going on! Great value and good food. Don’t steer away because this is located inside the Sinclair gas station. I usually try to live by the motto: Don’t fuel your body where you fuel your car. This place is the exception to that rule. Thumbs up!

I never ever, EVER thought I would type the words I am about to type. I just found a place that is going to replace Don Tortaco! It is not only better, it is a LOT better! This awesome gem is located inside the Sinclair Choice convenience store on the northwest corner of Windmill and Rainbow. At first glance it certainly doesn’t look like much. It’s actually just off in a corner of the store across from the cashier. This morning I finally had a chance to check it out for myself. The do have a little seating area with a few stools, while a flat screen TV plays ESPN nearby. I opted for my usual breakfast burrito while my friend opted for a carne asada burrito. The prices are similar to Don Tortaco. The healthy sized portions are similar to Don Tortaco. The difference here is the quality of the food! Much tastier and, more importantly, not nearly as greasy as Don Tortaco! Seriously, I was amazed at how tasty my burrito was! I also love the fact that you can watch the guy cook up your order as you take a seat on the stool. Service was quick and friendly, so no complaints there. I am most certainly in a lot of trouble. With a place like this being so close to the house, I can see myself coming here quite often! 4 stars.

Never in a million years would I think to find great Mexican food inside a gas station. However, I’ve always thought the best Mexican food are found at the cheap joints. It is rare that I like the fancy Americanized Mexican joints. As far as food goes, it’s the best that I’ve found in my neighborhood. I’ve ordered the mini carne asada tacos. He really hooked it up by giving 2 – 3 times the normal serving of meat, the chicken rolled tacos with guacamole are crack, & the carne asada nachos are large enough to share with 3 – 4 people. You might as well forget about your diet if you are ordering those nachos. Don’t forget to top your food with the red hot sauce. It has a spicy kick to it. I like the affordable prices, affordable for the average college student. Cleanliness is always welcomed and it’s reassuring to see him washing his hands before each order. The only cons that I can think of-Only one guy working and I wish they were open later on weekends. Even though he is fast, I think they can use one more employee during the busy meal times.
