Coronado Bay Club Apartments

I came to thank Barbara Thiel for a timely request to send a letter of reference for a new rental, she got it to me same day. Thank you so much. Customer service is very appreciated.
But I’m surprised the stars are so low.
I felt like this place was great all around I lived here for 2 years and granted management changed when I left in 2014, but I loved it there.
You guys have always treated me great. I even broke my lease once to move in with a guy, it went south real fast, and on the last day of my previous, you let me extend and didn’t give me a hard time or add to the drama. It was so appreciated. I have some great memories from living here.

I haven’t had too many issues with the apartment, but there are problems. It’s a fairly quiet area. Our seasonal bugs are minimal (maybe 1 or 2 each summer), but if you get more, the pest control comes every Tuesday and will spray (pet friendly) for free, unless the infestation is due to neglect. We did a walk through of the apartment we were going to get, however someone else got that apartment before we did. There was no walk through on the apartment we received.
1) A month ago the power went out on Jones and Rainbow, and every other building lost power (mine being one). The gates were stuck closed so no one could come or go so the manager decided to pack all the cars in the entrance way, the cars that were in parking spots got blocked in. This «GENIUS» move caused cars to be blocking traffic on Jones because no one knew what was going on, and by the time they figured it out, another car had come behind them and they were stuck. The gates could not be opened manually. This is a MAJOR safety violation; we are lucky there wasn’t a fire or medical emergency. The power was out for 3 hours.
2) They had the routine fire extinguisher maintenance in April. You got a notice to drop off the extinguisher to the office before XX date, if you didn’t, they forced entry into your place to retrieve it. I left for work at 8 am, so I tried to drop it off on my way out, office didn’t open till 9 and was closed when I got home. I had to take my lunch and drive across town to give them the extinguisher. We got the extinguishers back in late July. Also a safety issue.
3) The emergency maintenance number on the office goes to voicemail. Might as well wait ’till morning to go to the office. However, we submitted an online maintenance request late at night, and the maintenance man came at 7 the following morning. It seems they are starting to replace the carpets when a resident leaves, too bad they didn’t do that before we moved in. Our carpet has giant stains everywhere from previous tenants.
4) They gave us a months notice to resign the lease or move, but you have to give a written 30 day notice you are leaving. How does that even work?
5) I walked past a junk car that had a flat tire for 3 weeks before it was finally taken care of. Interesting, because when I went on a week vacation, I came back to a notice saying I had 24 hours to move my car or it would be towed.
***We will be moving when our lease is up because this apartment is not worth $ 1,000+ per month***

I must say that the staff here in the office is great. They are courteous, helpful & take care of whatever problems as long as you let them know. Which We haven’t really had. It’s quiet here & the pool is very nice as well as the layouts & amenities. It’s hard to find a vacant unit here for a reason, because people love it. I definitely recommend living here

Pretty on the outside. Pretty kitchen … Ugly old looking bathroom … The way the living room is set up is HORRIBLE !!! I have a 2 bedroom 2 bath … Downstairs, it’s horrible … When I shower, it has to be really fast because there is no hot water … I’m a girl so that’s tough, I tell maintenance & they tell me I have to turn my heater on for hot water… we are in JULY … Why would I want to do that?! On top of that. What about my power bill? The parking is fucking horrible … The pools are awesome, the gym is awesome but it seems like everyone canceled their damn memberships as soon as they moved here … Meaning don’t waste your time going to the gym … Too many people in there. The exterminator company they hire is rude & unprofessional. Their maintenance people suck ass ! I had to threaten the office with calling «fair housing» for them to finally correct some issues going on in my apartment … It took all of that for me to finally get some help. First week we moved in, back in October we got notices on our doors about robberies … Well that’s just lovely !!! There was no turning back after that, always see cop cars so I’m sure they are still happening. The ladies in the office take at least 40 smoke breaks a day. I still have no hot water btw. The cabinet space sucks. They didn’t change light bulbs because every single one blew out my first week living here so I had to replace them. The fan makes a ticking noise. I can not wait until our lease is up 3 more months & we are out this shit hole ! Thank goodness !

Crazy area, scary unsafe area! I wouldn’t recommend to rent there!
Also, wouldn’t recommend for families with kids.
their carpets are not good– I would recommend to rent a house in a safe place!

Please be careful when you rent in this place. I rented here for one year and its been a very poor experience.
When I vacated my deposit was not returned and the statement said I charges of $ 770 are applied to my $ 800 deposit. No explanation for that charge.
Also living conditions are unsafe, I was burgled in this place lost all my personal belongings and TV. They claim guards are always around, there is one guards on cycle touring around in say four hours — not much of a security. Gym equipment always broken, pool not clean
Be careful service and entire experience has been really poor.
Only good thing here is the manager Barbara — good lady without any power to control anything

We are starting to hate this place more every time, seems like most employee have different answers for any issues that may occur. Of all the bad things we have been through (burglary and etc.) here at Coronado bay they would atleast have some decency to treat us like their valuable tenant rather than gives us Shit all the time or gives us some leeway. I know a few people that lives here because I recommended this place awhile ago until they keep hiring different people including securities and ruin pretty much the system with different answers and it just doesn’t make sense. So frustrating and can’t wait to leave. PS wanted to move after the burglary and it happened to some people I know that live in the apartment complex but they won’t let us break the lease even though we don’t feel safe living here anymore.

I gave this place a 1 because I had to. 3 more apartments were burglarized in less than a month including mine and a neighbor this is ridiculous. The people who run this joint are not doing nothing. I was told they fired the security guard that was on shift when my apartment was robbed then replaced that fuck up with another low life that’s probably in on it. On top of that maintenance drops by nails your door frames together then tells you it will be 2 days before it will be completely fixed. Such bullshit! I’m sorry for the others that got robbed and it’s sad that I can’t just up and leave due to contractual obligations. My girlfriend is afraid every night and I stress while at work because I know Coronado Bay Apartments aren’t doing what’s necessary to insure their tenants safety. If you value your valuables do yourself a favor and move somewhere with a Complex that cares about the security of it most important asset. THE TENANT!!!

Would highly recommend Coronado Bay Apartments. They are very well-​built structurally (my husband is a retired from construction so he knows about these things). We loved the location… so easy to get to everywhere in Vegas. Loved the amenities, and the maintenance staff and office staff were excellent. I especially loved no assigned parking. We NEVER had a problem with parking our two vehicles and it was nice to have people over and not have to worry if they were parking in a wrong spot. The only reason we moved was because we happened to find a house to purchase. Our plan is to watch the market over the next couple of years and if we can turn a good profit, we will sell our home and move right back to Coronado Bay Apartments.

love the apartment hate the fucken patrol car that fucked up my window with a damn sticker motherfuckers cant leave a good person alone, just got divorced lost practically everything and here comes mr ashleys tow truck company picking up inocent peoples cars not only that they do it at midnight when your ass is in bed so to coronado bay i say you guys are shady as fuck i pay your rent on time all the time never have i been late but the fact you guys have this patrol car roaming around and doing this fucked up shit is fucked up me as i resident i am very loyal to u huys but the fact that i cant come out with 769.00 dollars to pay my tags amd on top try to tow my car and get charged 350 on top of that is some shady stuff to do to ur residents you guys should leave notice on our window shields on printed paper not a bright orange sticker that when u remove it messes up ur window (yes it peeled off very ugly and i have pics to prove it) so get ready because i have plenty of void stickers i can post all over your windows and see how u guys like it

I miss these apartments soooo bad :(I lived here from March 2008 until August 2009, I had a 2BD/​2BA on the 2^nd floor, and they are really beautiful newer apartments! I like how there are only 4 units to each building, its more like fancy condos than apartments! The complex is more like a resort too, with a clubhouse and big screen TV, 3 swimming pools, a heated hot tub, gated community with garages (but I chose not to buy one), spacious and modern layouts, up to 3 bedrooms, fireplaces, new and modern design inside including washer and dryer! I also really like the location in SouthWest Las Vegas, about 15 minutes away from the Strip but far enough away from all the madness lol :) I made the big move to Los Angeles summer 09′ and it really made me appreciate Las Vegas living. A place like Coronado would run at least 4k a month in L. A, and I was only paying $ 1050. If you are considering moving to Vegas, I definitely recommend you take a look at these :)
