Cox Residential Digital Solutions Store

Had the best experience with Shane at cox he was very knowledgeable about everything we needed hooked us up with a bundle for less then we thought now will have home alarm system and cable and Internet :-)

When me and my fiancée first entered this store to finally get some internet/​cable into our brand new apartment, we were very pleased with their bundle package promotion that offered everything for around 100 a month so we went with it right away. They granted my 5-​years-​ago account as a waiver for the deposit as well. Outstanding service in the store, but OUTSIDE of the store via their call center was a different story.
My mistake in putting the wrong apartment number turned out to be a completely mishandled disaster by their call center in Virginia and resulted in a four-​hour long phone call to sort out my account, cancel the original work ticket for us to have had service on Tuesday, and then concluded in it being pushed all the way to Friday (today). While we were less than pleased that a minor error would cause such a frustrating delay, we bit the bullet after such a long strenuous phone tag with the call center rep and just took the slot for this afternoon.
Low and behold, nobody showed up even after I had received two confirmation e-​mails for the install appointment. I called the call center to ask what was going on, and was told the work order was completely erased due to some magically disappearing information regarding the third party verification that I KNOW I had completed way before the lady on the last call confirmed everything was peachy keen.
So after reviewing our options at this point to just go without another carrier (one with a much less promising package albeit cheaper), I decided the best way to handle it would be to avoid the call center completely especially after they told me NO NOTES were even taken on the four-​hour phone call I had to sit through the night before. Me and my fiancée headed right back into this store location to try and get something done before the next available slot the guy at the call center stated which would have been WEDNESDAY– a whole week after we should’ve had it done in the first place, mind you.
Luckily, despite there being no supervisor around, there was an extremely accommodating employee named Joshua who got everything straightened out in less than fifteen minutes and got us hooked up with a self-​install kit then out the door. He profusely apologized for the frustration we went through and also informed us there were several errors made on our account that he took the time to fix for us– otherwise it would have incurred an undue deposit and lacking the in-​store promotion that we were initially promised.
TLDR: Josh saved the day.
Pro-​Tip: 1) Put the right address, otherwise they have to start a whole new work ticket and the person who does that will most likely get all of the original information wrong and not duplicate the first one– including in-​store promotions and waived deposits if you received one.
2) GO TO THE STORE IN PERSON. After previously working in a call center myself, I know that nine times out of ten the rep will not leave adequately detailed notes on your account if they even leave a note about the call at all. Everything done right is usually done IN person.
Just would like to thank Josh for sorting this our for us and not making us wait another five days without internet as we have already gone the past 2 weeks without it. We will definitely be coming back to this location with any further questions or issues because apparently COX’s call centers are about as useful as me asking my lamp for help.

Shane and Chris were very helpful and friendly. They explained the deals and also tried to get my installation order in ASAP. I am new to the US and it was nice getting seamless service. Thanks guys:)

I would like to start by saying that, in most cases, I won’t consider taking the time to write a Unilocal review unless service is on the high or low end of the spectrum.
I’ll make this short and to the point. The service I received at this location by a fellow named Shane was absolutely phenomenal.
After dealing with a couple of employees with Cox over the phone, I was about ready to drop this company all together and put in business with one of its competitors.
Shane was honest, extremely helpful, and very knowledgeable about the services offered by Cox. So much so, that he found me a great package, and convinced me to become a customer.
I am confident and happy with my choice because of this positive experience.

I paid full price for a new modem. Yet received a used one. You actually tried to pocket the money for yourself. I hope karma catches up to you buddy.

Shane is the man!!! Before dealing with Shane at the S rainbow location, I had called the 1800 number and spoke with a rep named Daniel… to make a long story short, I was pretty much misinformed about the package deal Daniel placed us on and was about to cancel everything and go with direct tv. My man Shane saved the sale and thoroughly explained the package with patience and detail. Give that man a raise! So our modem was ancient and our internet (but most importantly Netflix) were starting to lag. Aside from the fact that both my husband and I log in to our VPN at the office from home… I could not binge watch Law and Order: SVU. This was a problem. We called Cox and did some troubleshooting (I have background in IT so it was all the stuff we had already tried and then some). It was determined that the modem was the issue and to go to one of the Cox stores to replace it.
We strolled into this store because it was open on a Sunday. We didn’t think to bring the old piece of crap with us. The store was empty and we approached one of the counters.
The 45 second exchange went something like this.
Husband: We need to get a new modem because ours is old and a piece of crap.
Clerk: May I have your phone number?
Husband: Sure, blah blah blah
Clerk: Can you verify your address?
Husband: Blah blah blah
Clerk: *Turns behind him and grabs a «Cisco» box. Has another clerk scan it — hands us the box*. Just bring back the old one to this store when you have a chance.
Husband: Ok… So we’re all set?
Clerk: Yep. Thanks for coming by.
And now we have speedy internet and I can binge watch my shows (oh and work).

For some reason, Cox the Mothership sent me to this location even though I ordered a self install of high speed Internet and had all the necessary equipment.
Thankfully the sales rep, Diego, got it straightened out and got me a discount on the listed price. I was in and out in 5 minutes and paying less than what Cox’s website tried to bill me.

I hate Cox! My second broken DVR this year (nothing I did to either of them). What sucks the most is I have a ton of shows recorded on it that I’m unable to watch now. They gave me a new DVR and now I have to go and program all my shows to record all over again. Ugh… You would think for all of this inconvenience I would get at least get a discount on my bill right? Nope!

Really nice staff. They are very helpful, and reviewed my bill. I was able to add additional channels and my bill went down by a couple bucks! Thanks for the awesome treatment guys!
