I’ve been teaching the art of piano for more than a decade. I’m a laid-​back teacher for beginner, intermediate or advanced skill levels. I try to help students feel confident and excited to learn how to play piano, keyboard, or organ.

Dave’s approach to his art is simple: feel the groove, stay out-​of-​the-​way and keep it real. As a studio musician, Dave has recorded with several bands — funk, jazz, blues, rock, and big band. You name it. He’s also played on movie soundtracks, as well as many jingles. The Upstate New York native’s well of inspiration springs from many sources, from the Big Band bop of Count Basie to the Motown sound of Stevie Wonder. It’s one thing to listen to your idols, quite another to share the stage with them. To this day, the privilege of performing with hall of famers, Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, Billy Hinsche, Sonny Turner, Lena Prima and legendary drummer, Steve Gadd, resonates in Dave’s soul. Grace, humility and practice are what Dave instills in his piano students because at the end of the end of the day, you teach what you know and with the belief that the wisdom you impart creates a harmony that extends in infinite measures.
