History

Established in 1996.

Dr. David Arpin and Dr. Kathleen Olender opened Desert Dental Specialists in 1996, specializing in Periodontics, Endodontics and Dental Implants.

Both Dr. Arpin and Dr. Olender received their Dental degree at University of California at San Francisco, arguably one of the most difficult schools for admissions! They have been practicing and perfecting their art for more than 24 years, and are voted as «Top Dentist» by their peers year after year.

Meet the Business Owner

Kathleen Olender, DDS, MS O.

Business Owner

Dr. Kathleen Olender completed her undergraduate studies at Bucknell University and received both a Bachelor of Science and DDS from the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF).

Following her first accomplishments, she continued on to earn both a Specialty in Endodontics and an additional MS in Radiology from the University of Louisville at Kentucky.

Dr. Olender has held several faculty positions, to include UCSF, the University of Louisville at Kentucky and Tufts University. An accomplished and highly sought-​out lecturer, she has spoken extensively on the topic of endodontics and dental implants both nationally and internationally to professionals within the dental industry.

Believing in giving the best care possible, and giving back to the community, she has provided specialty endodontic care for our Veterans through the Southern Nevada Veterans Administration, and continues to provide annual dental exams to the military through Logistics Health Incorporated (LHI).
