Diesel Painting and Drywall

Victor and his team at Diesel are as good as it gets! Their consultation and advice was incredible and, thanks to their effort, our home looks brand new! They helped us select colors, and informed us of color options given the desert heat. They caulked in crevices/​thin cracks and the exterior looks seamless. They are top professionals — their service was exemplar and perfectly responsive. They did a thorough job touching up and cleaning up. They did a great job and I intend to use them again for other projects. Big thumbs up as I would highly recommend them to others.

If you only care about price, you may want to use Diesel Painting, as they were 25% lower than the other bids we received. However, you should remember that you get what you pay for. Diesel Painting painted about the inside of our home. Unfortunately, after they «finished» the job, we had to go back and touch up EVERY single room that they painted. (In one case, we repainted the entire room because they did such a poor job.) Among the issues were: (1) sloppy/​careless painting which resulted in the wall color running onto the white trim (and left as such); (2) drops of wall paint dropped onto white doors (and not cleaned); (2) uneven painting (in every room! Serious issues). Uneven painting took two forms: (a) There were bands at the top of each room; you could tell the painter had used the roller for most of the wall, but then used a brush at the top of the wall. The result is that the it appeared as though there were two different colors of paint in each room. Also, (b) there were a lot of instances of uneven application of paint so that one could see the (white) primer color beneath the final coat of paint. This occurred in all rooms.
One of the problems might lie in the fact that the owner rarely came to the house to supervise his team. At the outset of the job, we had intended to have Diesel Painting paint the outside of the house. But after this disaster, we decided to pay more and get a higher quality company to paint the outside of our house.

I painted almost every part of my home myself but I couldn’t bring myself to do the stairwell because of the high walls. I held off for a couple of years and finally decided to bite the bullet and hire a painter. I had to go through Angie’s List because of the difficulty of getting these painters to even get back to me. Diesel Painting was recommended and communication was fairly easy via e-​mail. My brother works for a commercial construction company and he noted that the quote was twice as much per square feet than what the average contractor should charge. But because he had no other people that he could recommend who would be willing to do such a small job, I decided to get it over with and go with Diesel Painting. Scheduling was prompt and they showed up around the agreed time. My husband was home so I decided to let him approve the work. Unfortunately, my husband isn’t as meticulous as I am and I noticed some spots that were missed or needed a touch up. I was expecting the painters to do just one coat so I bought a top-​of-​the-​line paint to get the best coverage. I wasn’t blown away by the service or final product but I’m just satisfied that the work got done and I didn’t have to rent extension ladders and do it myself.

I needed a wall repaired where a door handle made a hole. The first company I contacted promised to come by next day, but never showed or called. I called Diesel. They came the next day and fixed it beautifully in under an hour. Then charged less than what the first company said. I give Diesel an A+

They painted my entire downstairs, stairwell and main bathroom. They painted the ceilings, walls and doors and did an excellent job. Victor helped me with color selection and the job turned out beautiful. I could not be happier with their work and will use them agsin.

They painted my house and fence and did a great job. Such a great job that I’m going to have them paint all my rentals. He helped me chose my paint color and talked me out of bad colors lol. I think my house would have looked like a skittle… lol…if I hadn’t have listened to him.

I hired Diesel after getting a review from a neighboor. Before starting the job I asked to have the house back rolled and 2 coats. Victor the owner said that this was not necessary and the job would look good with their normal one coat spray.
The job was well done in that they were careful to tape everything and it was very neat with no overspray. The coverage was not good though and I called victor back, he said he would take care of it ASAP. Its been 3 months and after multiple no-​shows he has not shown up and my house is still not done to my satifactation. Not happy.

Exterior house painter with awesome service! Victor came out for the estimate and was right on time. He told us that the trim needed painting but the stucco could wait another couple of years. He did a fantastic job. He matched the color perfectly. And you couldn’t ask for a nicer guy! I will definitely look him up when it is time to paint the rest of the exterior!
