This is my favorite go to place for what ever my clothing needs are. I always find something that works for the situation… and usually more than one possibility. at a price that is reasonable. Always have great customer service and if I ever need to return something they do it with no questions asked. And they put my name on the fitting room door… how special is that?

Went there on Sunday 5−17−15 around 2PM. As a plus-size professional woman your options are kinda limited… Dress Barn is a great place to find suits and separates usually. My gripe is I was standing at the checkout and there was one woman in front of me being helped. Another associate comes up and jumps on another cash register and I’m thinking«Great, my turn!» so I started heading toward her and she looks up and points at the other register. So I step back and sulk for a minute and wait. The other lady goes and does a lap around the store asking people how they are doing and asking if she can help them find anything and after 5 minutes or so she comes back to the register and says«I can help the next customer». GRRRRRR I been standin’ here all this time, lady! Was that really necessary??? She looked maybe hispanic or indian and had a mole on the septum of her nose.

Love this place. Great customer service all the time and have never had any problems taking stuff back. Always has a variety of different cloths and my own personal fitting room.. When I shopped online I got my items real fast and unfortunately one item didn’t fit but took it back to the store and exchange it with no problem. They have casual cloths to business attire.

So this place stocks sizes 4 — 24… basically, it’s my kind of place as a plus size shopper! The dresses are super cute and if you go during a sale they are affordable. I got a holiday dress with a retro vintage silhouette that I would pair with red pumps and maybe gold makeup for like $ 40. You do have to hunt a little — given that the store stocks so many sizes it does have a tendency to appeal to different demographics and age groups. There are things that I would wear from Dressbarn as a 23 year old professional woman, but there are also things that wouldn’t be remotely appropriate for me(too old or odd cuts, etc). But still — until you try it on you don’t know! The staff are also fantastic and remember me although I have only been in twice?! To me that kind of customer service is very impressive. Chantelle(not sure how to spell her name but I’m pretty sure it was close to that) is the sweetest lady and every time I go in my day is brightened.

My mom is an average bigger woman… she recently had a breast reduction surgery, and she has been feeling extremely«body-conscious». I decided to treat her to some birthday shopping in the area, and I’m happy we stopped in Dress Barn(terrible business name). They had a variety of styles, color palates, and cuts that looked great in her! Some size selections were unavailable, but that’s typical with an average retail shop. The sales staff was welcoming and friendly. I’m happy that my mom is happy, so I think I’ll bring her back for some more retail therapy this coming Xmas season.

Went here today when I crapped out at the Lane Bryant a few doors down. Their stuff is a little more modest compared to Lane Bryant, which is just my style. Yeah they have a lot of polyester and ‘older lady’ stuff, but there is some nice stuff here for the younger crowd as well. I was looking for a dress and a nice woman(Laurie) working there helped me pick through the racks for something. I liked the dress she chose but went with cotton over polyester because of the heat. Great customer service here. When I was done two employees were standing near the exit both wished me a good day and thanked me for shopping there.
