Elara by Hilton Grand Vacations

This is not the worst hotel I have seen, so I am not going to give them a one, but this is no where near the nicer hotels on the strip and it is the least favorite of the Hilton hotels I have stayed at. The hubby and I booked a hotel here, because they called asking us to do a Hilton Grand Vacation tour and see if we wanted to purchase into the property (my husband is also a Hilton Honors member). To get to the check in is kind of doing to much, you have to go through a down stairs area and take the escalators up to the next level which is where you will find the check in area. The pool is also located directly across from the check in desk, and you can see it through the doors. In my opinion, the pool is not that big for the Vegas life or for the family life the vacation company is trying to promote, but it is larger than the Marriott’s time share pool across the way. On our first night we were told no suites were available for an upgrade and we had to stay in a studio size room. When you walk to your room have to insert your key into a key checker (and they only have two) and there is a security guard checking every single parties key to make sure it works. This is not a smart idea at ALL! I get they are trying to maintain security but if there is a rush of 30 people and you need to get to your room you have to sit there and wait while everyone get’s their key checked. In my opinion, if a person is not meant to get up stairs they will A.) not have a key (which you should just have to show, not insert in device or B.) the guest staying will not let them in the room.
I am not sure who decorated this hotel, but the color scheme is horrible. The hallways are painted an ugly none glossy red and the floors are the same color with black in it as well. It’s just all ugly– esp. for a hotel that is not over 5 years old. The studio rooms are not cute at all, and I do not recommend. Again they have a red color scheme and the furniture and decorations are just off and ugly. Plus they have these ugly cheap red leather couches in all the rooms. The bathroom is really small, and only has a regular shower and a pull out door closes off the toilet from the rest of the bathroom.
On our second day we called to ask could we move hotels or upgrade our room. No other hotels in the vacation package were available but we were luckily able to upgrade to a suite. So in Vegas if you need to upgrade during cleaning hours, they make you pack up and leave the room you are in and they will notify you will your next room is available – it sucks and is hassle for the guest but this is pretty standard every where. When we finally came back, the upgraded suite was a little better but the decorations and color scheme were still ugly. The suite had a Jacuzzi, a shower, bigger bathroom, a projector to watch tv (which we thought was really cool, esp so we could watch the NBA finals), new appliances in the kitchen, and a washer/​dryer. So, the features of the suite helped with the ugliness. If you need detergent for the washer and dryer, just call the front desk it is free. Neither of the outside views from either room was that great.
BEWARE if you order Room Service– They charge you to bring the food to your room and they add the tip in for you and do not allow you to decide how much. My $ 14.00 nachos and $ 2 soda ended up being $ 26.00 by the time they added all their fees, I could have just walked and got myself food.
I do how like the Elara is connected to the Planet Hollywood hotel – if you wish to shop esp. We also attended a few shows and the J. Lo show while we were there so it was easy access.
The last thing I have to say about this hotel is my presentation. I did appreciate how my presenter presented to us, but I did not appreciate her saying telling my husband and I, do not go on anymore tours. This was the second time Hilton Grand Vacations called us and it was not OUR fault they forgot to take us off the list and offered us another stay at a different location. We were considering buying into the time share, but we recently found out (like two weeks before our visit) we are expecting another child and decided it was not in our best interest. You don’t tell people DON’T do something again, esp, if they are not breaking the law and the fault was not on us. I didn’t appreciate her speaking to us about that. We were more sold on the location of the first tour but after looking this location we will not be buying in if this is the best Hilton has to offer.

I’ve stayed in the suit before and also a regular room. This hotel is one of my favorites because the rooms are spacious and it’s located along side planet Hollywood. These hotels have everything you need and affordable shopping.
The beds at elara are very comfortable and have nice bedding. Not many hotels in gas have decent beds but this one does.

This would be my fifth year in a row to go to Vegas. I love it!!! However, this hotel is not even close to what I expected from Hilton. For five days my only room service was made bed. I spoke to manager and he offered $ 25 and late check out (noon). We did not take this because getting something out of them was not the point. I did not want to find my shoes spread every where and trash can on my toilet. Wash cloth in my tub from yesterday and my kitchen supplies sitting for two days in the sink. I was there with my family and booked three rooms. The manager, Thomas, was nice and listened but this is not enough to make up for all mistakes done by housekeeping. I will not be staying here again nor will I recommend it to my friends. I understand this is not Encore but I also know I didn’t book a motel well at least I thought I did not.

As a flight crew, we have stayed here before, although it has been a couple years for me. The hotel is a mile from the airport. We are currently on a 5-​day layover, so staying at this hotel is an enjoyment.
Check in is easy. The oversized suites are amazing, even the window shades are electronically controlled by a switch. The pool is refreshing, especially with the 100+ degree hot summer days.
Firm comfortable bed, huge bathroom, chaise lounge chair positioned by the window to overlook the strip in comfort. Large livingroom and kitchen. Love this place!
Plus, the hotel is attached to the Miracle Mile Mall. Lots of restaurants and shops.

Stayed here in February of 2016, and was blown away by a combination of things: #1. For the 1 bedroom King suite, with full size movie projector, huge couch, washer/​dryer combo unit, beautiful bathroom and great tub, and full kitchen, I paid $ 145 per night. This place was on par with many $ 250−350/night rooms, with the exception of not having a spa, restaurant, or casino directly in the hotel. That didn’t mean anything to me because the center-​strip location allowed me to go to these types of places, and the connected miracle mile shops had some nice places to go. Also, having no resort fees is rare and was really nice. I felt like I got the steal of the century, and found my go-​to place for every trip to Vegas, which is usually 2 trips per year minimum.
In February, I would have given this place 5 stars for the value, but I’m coming back to Vegas in July, and everything has been hiked up to ridiculous levels.
Average cost per night for the hotel in February: $ 145. July: $ 265
Cost per night to upgrade to higher floor room with strip view in February: $ 30. July: $ 98 (wow).
Okay, July is peak season and I guess February isn’t, so some type of increase is okay, but they just put themselves at a price point where I’d rather visit a different resort just for the experience. Also, to humor myself I checked what it would cost to book for non peak season next year (February, same dates I went this year), they are still $ 100 per night higher. It’s my opinion that they had found a perfect niche, and blew it all up for higher profits. Maybe it works for them, maybe it doesn’t, but it guarantees I will search for other nice resorts to stay at.
I’m also starting to believe that they might have been getting trouble from their existing timeshare owners in the same resort. Booking online directly cost about the same as the timeshare owners yearly maintenance fee, and they only get 1 week of use every other year. Plus they probably paid over $ 25,000 just to have the benefit. Now, their policy balances it out for the timeshare holders, but gouges anybody just trying to rent.

Much much much improved on the cleanliness scale! And, while I like the old Décor of Old Hollywood better than the new Décor of modern beiges and gold I will say that it is very well done and very well executed… As always I’m in love with the pool area and everything about this location. The only reasons this is not getting a 5-​star rating is that they absolutely refuse to allow you to bring any of your own food or drink to the pool instead keeping you with a ridiculously priced menu of drinks and foods that no one would be where they not being held hostage. Folks, one of the reasons you get a beautiful condo to go on vacation and his to make your own food so please please please reconsider at least allow us to bring in our own drinks your drinks are terribly overpriced and they are very awful.
Also, the projection TVs have really outlived their usefulness they don’t come in clear or crisp enough to really use them. The regular flat screens are a bit larger now, though, which is nice. There’s limited channel selections anyways. Lately, the combo washer/​dryer is useless. A replacement with stackables would be much better. This combo unit takes 3 hours (no lie) per load and the clothes come out veeeeerrrry damp.

Hotel is close to strip. Appearance is nice. However stayed there for 3 nights and room was never cleaned. I had to call for towels and for room to be cleaned. But they just dropped of towels on sofa. They never picked up the trash or used linens.

I am a Hilton Honors member, and waited a bit to cool off to write this review. I was excited to use this location for myself as a place to stay for my bachelor party. I was approached by HHonors (they called me) to get a really good discounted rate to stay here for three nights with the caveat to do the two hour tour which was a timeshare presentation. Fair enough. I actually grew up in a family that frequently took advantage of timeshares and were owners with multiple timeshares in other vendors. I for one was actually interested and wouldn’t have minded exploring the idea.
Well not to get into too much detail, I got married shortly after booking this event. Only to find out that if my wife could not make it (she lives in another country for now) they would have to cancel the reservation or charge me full price. This was very disturbing since myself and several others had booked flights based on this reservation.
So it appears it is a rule and I can’t exactly argue with that. Nonetheless, isn’t the point to get that person and incentivize them into that room for the tour and the sales pitch? What is the point of turning that person away who actually wants to be in the meeting. I worked for Wyndham for quite a while in technology role but was frequently around their timeshare environment. I grew up in Orlando where we as a family actually bought close by to use their pools and grounds locally beyond just the week we had. This was an unusual circumstance where I made the reservation while single but became ineligible because I got married before redeeming the stay. I think they missed the point. I made several calls to different department.
The problem is I was looking forward to staying here. The problem is I patronize Hilton Hotels for work and personal to stay within one grouping for points. The problem is they missed the point that I would and could even as single income could have been a contender.
Its not bending the rules if the end goal is the same. Sorry the whole experience was terrible, finding out that my whole trip was to be cancelled and that you were not looking out for me because I did not meet the rule. I don’t normally like to write poor reviews, but this was a poor experience all the way. I was initially calling to confirm my attendance… and to upgrade my room.
Done and undone. Flights still in place another hotel chosen. Refund on its way.

Ambiance: Family/​Business oriented hotel. It didn’t give off a party or Vegas vibe. It was a nice quiet space from the strip and the parties. As a younger customer I would’ve preferred an Aria or Cosmopolitan, but Elara is a nice hotel to stay with family.

I got this deal, because I got an offer when I booked rooms for embassy suites. It was a fantastic deal, 2 nights and 3 days, The draw back is that on one of the days you had to spend the morning on tour to a time share. The room was however fantastic. Nice and quite, considering it was on the room. I really enjoyed the electric shades, it made the room really dark, allowed is to sleep in. The view was phenomenal. The elara is perfectly situated on the strip. You are close to the Planet hollywoood and easy access to miracle mile shops. Lots of places to eat and shop. Wouldlove to come back and enjoy a night swim. The pool was inviting but did not have enough time to enjoy the ambiemce.

This hotel was pretty nice!
Proximity: OK. It was in the miracle mile, which was nice, but far from the larger clubs/​bars.
Noise: Very quiet hotel, which was really nice to come back to after a long night.
Space: Plenty of space, easy to fit people! The kitchen was pretty small though, and the sink barely fit more than 2 cups.
Lighting: The lighting in this place was note-​worthingly awful, it made doing our makeup much more difficult. Also, there’s no outlets by mirrors except for inside the bathroom.
Wifi: free with code! ask the front desk
Parking: self parking is free at the structure! But it can be very difficult to find parking
Pool: crowded with a very strange crowd: odd blend of children, senior citizens, soccer-​moms on vacation, and then us (a group of 21 – 22 year olds).
Overall, decent hotel but will probably try to stay somewhere closer to the strip.

I’ve never heard of this hotel before, so I’m not sure if it was somewhat new. We went for a bachelorette party and our share for a suite wasn’t too bad. Since I didn’t organize this I don’t know how much standard rates are for suite. The hotel overall is okay, a lot smaller compared to others. I also didn’t get that Vegas vibe, there were no casinos and I didn’t see any bars. I noticed that this was more of an older crowd 50−60ish. We stayed there for one night and it’s not like we hung out in the hotel much. I will say the suite was really nice and big, we kind of regretted three suites because we literally all fit in one.

Convenient. Close. Non smoking/​no casino hotel. All pluses in my book.
I called to front desk to complain about someone smoking cigarettes and my room constantly smelling like smoke and marijuana. Security came up, smelled it too. Yet no one found anything at the neighbors place.
Walls are thin. I could hear my neighbor partying all night. Which is annoying when at 4am I’m trying to fall asleep before the sun comes up.
Also complained about the sewage smell in the hotel. I asked the man swiping key reds downstairs and his response was ‘what’s sewage?’ I just paused with a blank stare and repeated myself… he still didn’t understand, so I walked away.
Anyway, I’ll prob stay here again, just because it’s close.

This was my first time to Las Vegas. I stayed here as part of a Hilton Grand Vacations Timeshare presentation. Im not an owner but was invited to a meeting to buy as a HHonors Member.
This hotel is located just off the Las Vegas Strip behind Planet Hollywood and connected to the Miracle Mile shops. There is no Casino attached but close enough to the strip.
Overview of our stay:
Checked in at 2pm, a lower floor room was available but we opted to wait longer to get a room on a higher floor. The room was ready at 3pm, checkin is usually 4pm so we didnt mind.
Took advantage of the Bell Hop service, before we checked in and after we checked out.
The bell hop brought our bags up to our room within 5 mins of calling down.
Free wifi if you are Hilton HHonors member. Little confusing getting to the login page but it worked eventually.
(Side Note: If you are planning to stay here, or any hilton hotel I would suggest signing up for HHonors membership, it is free and comes with some nice perks.)
The room was great. Very clean, great kitchen which we made breakfast on every morning and reheated our leftovers. The couch in the sitting around was a little worn and had some marks on it but thats my only negative.
Called down for late check out and was given till 12pm which was even better.
We had a slight leak under our kitchen sink, the maintenance guy who came to fix it was very nice and professional so we wont hold that against them.
My overall impression of the Elara was great. The staff was very profession and nice, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud and the location is great.
If youre looking for an up to date, clean hotel without the hustle and bustle of the las vegas strip, but close enough to it, this is the one for you.

BEWARE!!! D0 not use washer/​dryer in unit! It will keep your clothes hostage. I decided to wash out clothes night before. I started wash and 7:30pm. It ran til 10pm. I placed clothes to dry, ran til 12:30a.m. Clothes were still wet. Ran again. At 5:30 the dryer still going. Clothes were still wet, when finally stopped at 6A. M!!! Talk about freaking out. Had to be out of room @7a.m. OVERALL This hotel is nice. Our room was big, clean and satisfactory. It had everything we needed and more. The only thing we did NOT like is that the pool closes at 6p.m. Conveniently it is connected to a strip of stores and Planet Hollywood Casino. There is a Starbucks in lobby. Plenty of close restaurants in the mall for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I’ve had the best time in Vegas because of Elara. I am just beyond happy with our entire stay in this hotel!
First of, the price. We got massive discounts from AAA and for the price we paid, it was 3x cheaper than any other hotel in the strip offering a suite with a kitchen and living room. To put it simply, the amount we paid for was the same as getting a standard 450sq ft room w/​no windows in LINQ.
Next, it’s a non-​casino hotel (which is a plus for me) and it’s connected to Mile High. The parking garage is free of charge.
The lady who checked us in was very very helpful, she gave us a good view of the Strip. (35^th floor!!) We also received a welcome packet (free coupons for Mile High shops) and free wifi for enrolling HHonors when I booked our room.
Our room was just amazing! It was a King Suite + 1 Bed & Sofabed. It can easily fit 10 people in it just by the size of the sofa lol. It comes with a full kitchen (pots pans utensils plates glasses everything!) with a huge fridge, dishwasher and coffee maker. The living room has an HD TV and the shades turn into a projector screen, perfect for chilling and watching films. The bedroom has lots of storage and is right next to an open space bathroom WITH A JACUZZI!
All in all, I wished I could stay longer in Vegas just because I had a comfortable stay in this hotel. Even if it’s off the strip, it didn’t bother me at all. It’s a 5-​minute walk inside Mile High and you’re already out at Las Vegas Blvd. Also, it helps that there’s Walgreens nearby to buy all your daily needs if you fancy not spending money on restaurant food.
My boyfriend and I will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

FINALLY a hotel with a kitchenette on the strip who’s fridge actually works and who’s cabinets are actually stocked with dishes!
AND OMG. PETER THOMAS ROTH TOILETRIES. I swiped all that was leftover.
Everything was pretty neat and there are NO RESORT FEES! I was pleasantly surprised by that when the bill came. We got a great deal during our stay: 3 nights for a total of $ 359 on

The pool gets pretty packed super early, even in the spring time. We didn’t bother when we saw there was no shaded seats available anymore at 10am.
The rooms have a 3 option electronic «do not disturb» kind of display for housecleaning. One asks for housecleaning (asap), one asks for privacy, and the other basically says they can enter anytime they want for cleaning. I don’t know the exact wordings of them, but it’s nice to see that they’re updated with the technology that prevents people from stealing those wretched door handle hangers.
The bed was super big and comfy and the room way more spacious than expected. We used the huge pullout couch for my brother as well, and he had no complaints.
My only knit-​pick is that on the pictures for the junior suite that
said we were upgraded to, we were supposed to have a full-​size fridge and larger kitchen area. Oh well, we didn’t need it and were too busy to complain/​get another room. We didn’t really end up needing it full-​size anyway. I was the only one of our three that ever had leftovers, and we didn’t stock up on alcohol since it was a family trip. And, well, it was only 3 days.
I really like Elara, but it can get super pricey sometimes if you don’t watch out for deals and book super early like I did.
Oh, and there are people offering you Welcome Packets after you check in — I’m pretty sure it’s time share or something similar so we just ignored them.

My family just stayed here for four days in 2 junior suites and overall we were satisfied. It is quiet, clean, and the staff friendly.
We had early morning flights into Vegas, and were able to check in early at noon, but they only had lower level (9^th floor) rooms available, so we faced the parking lot and had partial views. Because they only have black-​out shades for the windows, I constantly had to lower the shades for privacy when changing or sleeping. I missed the option of blinds or drapes for partial light/​privacy.
Even though my family booked 2 junior suites at the same time, their layouts were completely different. Also, one had a bathroom with double sinks and a standard shower/​tub combo, but no Jacuzzi in the bedroom, and the second suite had only one sink but a giant corner Jacuzzi in the bedroom, as well as a beautiful tile shower with a corner seat.
The junior suites have a big comfortable bed in the bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living room for the third person. I was the one who slept on the sofa bed and it was actually pretty comfortable. You have to make up the sofa bed yourself when you arrive; they provide sheets, pillow, blanket and mattress pad. I ended up just leaving the sofa bed open all the time cause it was too much of a hassle to remove the bedding. Both the living room and bedroom had large TVs, as well as a small TV in the bathroom.
The kitchenette has a dishwasher, compact fridge, tiny sink, toaster, and a fancy but overly-​complicated microwave that apparently can also bake, although we had a hard time figuring out all of the buttons just to heat up some water. There are plates, bowls, mugs, wine glasses, and plastic cups for 4 people, plus a sponge, small bottle of dishwashing liquid, towel, coffee maker, coffee fixings, and a roll of thin paper towels.
It was super convenient being able to prepare some simple snacks in the room, especially because we were traveling with a toddler, and two elderly parents who need to eat food early in the morning with their medications. We bought milk, yogurt, water, cereal, etc at the 2 ABC stores located at Miracle Miles mall for reasonable prices.
The bathroom has Peter Thomas Roth toiletries, including body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, facial soap, and body soap. The toilet is black (looked weird/​dated), and very low to the ground, so you have to bend way down to flush. Housekeeping did a good job of cleaning the room, but they didn’t replace the paper towels or toilet paper even though we were running low.
They lobby is elegant and comfortable, and overlooks the pool (open 8 to 6 during our stay). The pool is very shallow, which was fine for us since we mostly just dipped our feet or floated with the baby. The atmosphere was chill, and there were plenty of loungers around the pool and a lifeguard on duty. There’s a person who stands before the elevators at all times and you have to insert your room key before being permitted to go to the elevators.
There is a 24 hour Starbucks in the lobby with plentiful seating, however, it did not accept my rewards, and the prices were at least 20% higher than regular Starbucks. Plus they charge tax on top of the higher prices. But for me, the convenience was worth it.
While my room had adequate cell service, my sister’s room down the hall had almost no cell coverage unless she huddled by the window. We didn’t try their $ 10 per day Wi-​Fi.
Because Elara is directly linked to Miracle Miles (which is non smoking), it was very nice to be able to shop and eat without having to go onto the Strip. It was a quick walk from our room to the Strip/​Planet Hollywood. Right in front of PH, you can directly cross the street to reach Bellagio without having to take the detours to the bridge walkways, which saved us a lot of time.
Taxis enter the property on the «first» floor, which is almost like a basement, and if you don’t want to use the bellhop, you have to take the escalator or small elevator with your luggage to the second floor, where the hotel lobby, pool, and Starbucks are located. Beware of the timeshare people trying to lure you to their desks when you check in.
Maybe because Elara doesn’t have a casino, it was quiet and we saw lots of families. We would definitely stay here again.

I visited during the summer, (August 2015), for my Bachelorette party. The building is beautiful, a little confusing to get into if you’re walking on the street but still beautiful… If you get the right room you’ll have a lovely view of the city and especially at night when the lights are blazing! The rooms were big and spacious, clean and very comfy. The staff was okay, the security is no joke — you will get no where near a room unless you have a room key and swipe it to verify that it’s activated.
The pool is very relaxing — they’re kind of strict with the towels and the hours could’ve been better especially if you’re an early riser. Lounger chairs around the pool were limited depending on the time of day.
Overall it was a good time — a good location by the strip, it was connected to the mall that seemed to have everything… only thing is that if you wanted a quick snack or do a quick breakfast in the morning it wasn’t a arms reach. Usually most hotels have their own restaurants attached so they get all your money, it would’ve been a real plus feature.

Came here on a deal through Hilton Honors to attend the Vacation Club presentation. The property is right behind Planet Hollywood (You actually enter through the Miracle Mile Shops) so it’s practically on the Strip. There’s no casino on site, so there’s a lot less going on in the lobby, which made for easy check-​in.
I booked a 1-​bedroom suite. The room was nice and clean. I didn’t care much for the décor. The lobby is mostly nice clean whites but the rooms and hallways upstairs have a lot of dark colors with busy patterns. Some of the furniture seemed dated as well.
The bedroom, however, was cool because it had a hot tub next to the bed. Really spacious for one or two, and plenty of ledge space to sit around and relax with friends.
Overall, nice hotel. It delivers what it promises, but it’s kind of a bland property compared to other Vegas hotels. That might be a welcome characteristic for some.
My only gripe is that on the 8^th floor, my room was facing the parking structure, and I could hear clearly the activity. The blackout curtains block the light of course, but you can hear engines going, tires screeching and other things. I even heard a woman scream. It was unsettling enough to get me out of bed to see if I could spot someone in distress. Fortunately, nothing unusual or suspicious stood out.
I’d stay here again, although it wouldn’t be my first choice.

We are not timeshare owners, however through Hilton Honors, had the opportunity to stay at the Elara and had a great experience!
Location, location, LOCATION: You can’t beat the location of the Elara! Connected to the Miracle Mile shops, you can walk through the Miracle Mile and right out to The Stip situated between Planet Hollywood and The Paris Hotel and directly across the Bellagio. EVen though we had a car, there was so much to see and do without ever leaving Elara. We watched the Bellagio fountains every night, had several meals between Paris, Bellagio, Planet Hollywood and the Miracle Mile, and of course, shopped each time we walked to and from our room.
SERVICE: Everyone who helped us was stellar! Check in was a BREEZE and I loved that they had a security guard checking everyone’s room keys before entering the elevator area.
ROOMS: We had a studio room with a kitchenette and it was very clean, modern and spacious. The kitchenette was stocked with cups, plates, utensils, refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine. There was also a washer and dryer in the room. The view was incredible, and the way that the hotel is situated, as long as you are high enough, there should be a view of The Strip. Be sure to ask for a room on a renovated floor. When we would ride in the elevator, I saw some floors that had red carpet and red walls and I had heard from guests on that floor that the décor was zebra-​esque and dated. Unless you’re into that (which I am definitely not) then ask for a renovated floor where the décor is much newer and more modern.
For us, we liked that there was no casino in this hotel. It was easy to go in and out of the hotel without having to navigate through a smokey casino. Yes, Vegas is fun with the bright lights, the bustling crowds and the loud music, but at the end of the day, it was nice to come back to a calm and quiet hotel, that was still central to where all the action is. It also isn’t very large unlike most Vegas hotels, so getting to your room is quick and simple. Although we did not have our kids with us on this trip, we saw lots of families and we would definitely stay here again if we ever brought our kids to Vegas.
Overall, we really enjoyed staying at the Elara and would stay here again the next time we return to Vegas.

Mixed thoughts on this hotel.
The room was nice and electric black-​out curtains were awesome. That was a nice luxury for the tired/​drunk/​lazy.
The customer service I felt was condescending whenever I called the front desk, or one of the multiple concierges. I booked on Expedia/Hotels.com and each time I called or spoke to the folks in the lobby, because I booked on a «Third Party,» they treated me like some cheap coupon guy. Womp.
WIFI is charged $ 10/​day if you book for though a third party, also, I was told. Rules are rules, but again, no need to be condescending. HHonors members get allowed a code to get wifi, depending on who you talk to.
The cleaning team and security were all nice-​Thank you to you guys!
The parking. Sucked. Very difficult to find a space, with multiple cars «parked» waiting like hawks. Long walk to hotel as well. Not a good hotel if you want to drive anywhere else.
The pool/​jacuzzi is beautiful, however closes at 6PM. Yes, closes at 6PM. So after work I was unable to swim laps, or just sit and bake in the bubbles like a fat happy bastard.
The lobby is beautiful, however, its bland and boring, even for older folks. Waste of space.
All in all, I’d rather be treated as a guest, then just a number visiting Vegas.

We chose this hotel because they advertised non-smoking…which is partially true. If you do choose to smoke, they charge you a $ 250 cleaning fee, which unfortunately my neighbors chose to avail themselves of that. Other than that… the hotel is beautiful and the staff is pleasant. If you are not a vacation club member, they will try to sign you up for a tour. But they were not overly pushy about it. Great location attached to the Miracle Mile Shops. Good hotel/​location for the price.

Hilton grand vacation Elara, I will give you two stars not because anything is particularly bad but because this is a hotel completely out of touch with people in the year 2016. I can control the window shades with a switch on the wall, yet there are no outlets near the bed. I can control the window shades with the an option in the tv yet there are no outlets near the bed. There is elaborate lighting around the headboard. But I cannot plug in my phone next to the bed. There are four lit light switches next to the bed that control the elaborate lights around the head board. I cannot plug in my phone next to the bed. There is a telephone in the bathroom next to the toilet. But I can’t plug my phone in to charge it while it sits on the night stand. I can sit on the toilet and call the ghost busters but I can’t plug my phone in to charge it while it sits on the night stand. However… Since I am not the type to be easily discouraged I dismantled the night stand and found and outlet behind it left over from before you remodeled. You get two stars not because you are bad but because not every one travels with the selection of tools that I do. Outlets to charge my gadgets are more important than toilet phones!

Stayed here on a time share pitch deal which seemed to be the case for most. Pool is open year round which is nice but it is a bummer that the hot tub closes at 6pm (at least in the winter). Easy parking, check in and checkout were both nice. Direct access to the Miracle Mile shops is nice. Hotel is in nice shape. Styling is a little blah for my tastes.

Another great stay with Elara! This time no noise complaints lol! Love how they are connected to miracle mile and planet Hollywood and I love their service even though their valet was out the whole weekend (New Years weekend) I didn’t care! Everyone’s so friendly at Elara, even the room service people were amaze balls, our stay was another one for the books, this time we stayed at the junior suite, still a great room, and even though we were just facing the backside where you can see the Paris Paris tower and building, and the Planet Hollywood building I didn’t care, because the service was great! And yes Elara I will see you in 3 weeks, counting down! I’m really hoping I’m able to get my 2 bedroom upgrade! Super excited! Thank you Elara, you guys have always been the best! Love it!

The Elara is a good property to stay at if you are a Hilton loyalist like me. There’s no breakfast or lounge, but the rooms are spacious, the window is floor to ceiling with a good view of the strip, the free wifi for Diamonds is good, and you get a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. There’s a very large Starbucks on the lobby floor and plenty of seating. The hotel also connects directly to the Miracle Mile shops on the lobby floor, so you can easily access the strip, deuce, and restaurants.
This property does sell timeshares, so you may be invited to listen to a presentation. I was offered 4 $ 25 vouchers for restaurants/​buffets in the Caesars group (but can’t be used for the buffet of buffets pass). The couple next to me were offered a choice of the vouchers or VIP show tickets with dinner. I found the vouchers really easy to use at the buffets and restaurants — spent them at Le Village, Spice Market, and Serendipity 3 without any problems.

Booked 2 BR suite with fully equipped kitchen. Amazing view, super clean room and every time we needed something they sent someone up right away. Been to Vegas a dozen times but never enjoyed my suite as much as I did this time. There is no casino but through Miracle shopping you are at the PH within 10 min.
Super secure building and no smoking which makes it very pleasant walking through the hotel. Overall 5 out of 5. Great value for the money.

My girls and I come to Vegas about 2 – 3 times a year and we often stay at Elara and book a suite. We usually split the suite with about 10 girls total. I know, I know. It sounds like a lot of people for one room. However, it brings the price down for us since we usually just come back to shower, get ready, and sleep. There’s a king sized bed, L shape couch with a pull out queen bed, and a small sofa bed.
Besides this, there’s also a kitchen equipped with dishes, utensils, a stove, microwave, and a full sized fridge. Perfect for pregaming and bringing food back. We never have to worry about keeping our food fresh or our drinks here. It’s so convenient!
As for the bathrooms, there’s one jacuzzi hot tub, which we hardly use but it is nice if you want to soak your feet from wearing your heels all night long. There’s also two sinks, a shower and a toilet. The best part is the lighting though. The bathroom lighting is great! For all the girls who want to take selfies and get ready, it’s the absolute perfect lighting.
Too add to the convenience, downstairs is the Miracle Mile shops, which means there’s plenty of food to eat and shops for you to pick up any items you forgot. They also have Earl’s sandwiches open 24 hours so you never have to worry about starving. You can walk right downstairs and get food any time of the day!

We stayed here for a few days because of an offer thru their timeshare. Check-​in was a breeze and I liked the added security before heading up to our room. We had to provide our room key to scan before getting on the elevators.
The room (suite) was clean and spacious. I really appreciated the mini kitchen area, which had a microwave, toaster, coffee machine, cups, plates, silverware provided, and a dishwasher.
It was super convenient to have a Starbucks, outside bar, and store not far from the elevators when we got off. All the shops are indoor and near the hotel entrance. Staff was friendly from check-​in to check-​out.
A few complaints I have are I could hear a lot of traffic (specifically sirens). I also thought the couch was super uncomfortable. Oh, and there is no late room service. We had to pay a little more for a can because it was a bit off the strip. I’d stay here again, but maybe for a business trip.

Disappointing — not impressed at all. Lost reservation, sent to the wrong room, zero upgrades… Only saving grace was Cindy at the front desk…
Update to my review — Erica (customer service manager) contacted me and was quite nice, I explained my concerns and was really sympathetic (In a genuine way, not the corporate fake way) and with that personal response It made everything that went wrong right again. And yes I will absolutely stay here again.

The front desk staff were helpful and very professional, the bell desk staff have also been quick and helpful. The room seems clean thankfully and the view is nice.
I’m staying here for 8 nights on a work trip though and it’s been incredibly frustrating. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or food options in it and the room service ends at 2 in the afternoon, except on weekends. I was on hold for 15 minutes for room service once before calling the front desk and being put straight through. The next time, I was on hold for 40 minutes and eventually had to give up and find a pizza delivery place who could bring me dinner, as I was stuck working in my room. I ordered breakfast one day and the fruit plate arrived with the plastic still on it (and thank goodness, because otherwise I wouldn’t have seen the sticker which showed it was already 2 days past it’s expiry date).
I organised to have a package sent to me at the hotel but USPS just told me that it was rejected by the hotel (?!) and so I’m having to find the time away from work to organise picking it up.
Generally, it’s just been very frustrating and I’ve lost time that I needed to spend on working, just to figure out how to find dinner that isn’t fast food from the nearby Miracle Mile mall.
Would not stay again.

I stayed here recently for a bachelorette weekend and overall I was pleasantly surprised & impressed with this place!
We had a HUGE, two bedroom, two bathroom suite that was way larger than we were expecting. The common space had a large couch and a decently sized kitchen, with a full size refrigerator. More than enough room for 7 gals for a weekend away. Service was really great all weekend– we were able to check in early & check out late too!
There’s also a Starbucks in the hotel and the hotel itself is connected to the Miracle Mile Mall as well– which is a huge perk. You’re seconds away from a quick lunch or a last minute fashion excursion. We may or may not have made a much needed dash to a frozen yogurt spot, soon before we were leaving for the airport. The hotel also doesn’t have a casino, which I really enjoyed. It’s slightly off the strip so it’s SO close to all the other major hotels & restaurants, without the noise of the casino and others at the hotel.
Only slight negative was not having free wifi in our hotel room– however you can always lounge downstairs near Starbucks to get free access for awhile.
I will definitely think about staying here again!

I’ve been a Hilton Honors member forever. I travel A LOT and I’ve been very loyal to Hilton. This hotel and this hotel only is the sole reason I will no longer stay in a Hilton. Hilton Honors is well aware of their actions as well, but allow me to try in a small way to dissuade people from staying here. GO MARRIOTT!!!
I booked a room in JULY for a birthday weekend for a friend in NOvember. Knowing it’s high season/​conference season, I knew rates would go up. I locked in a room for a Thurs-​Sunday stay. $ 139 for Thurs and $ 179 for Fri/​Sat. My reservation states changes/​cancellations can be made up to 48 hours. Okay.
I cannot go until Friday now, so I go online to alter my reservation for a Friday/​Sat stay. As I go to do this, I receive an alert that because I’m altering my reservation that I will be starting over. Rates for a dumpy room are now at $ 359 a night (it’s Vegas. It is a HILTON for Christ’s sake. wth) Oh hell no. So I call the hotel. Have fun calling. It took 10 minutes to get to an actual person. I was then on hold for 19:38 minutes. No joke. He finally gets back on and states that «due to high demand» the new hotel rates take place if I cancel Thursday.
Um, say what? I get that if I were trying to get a different room or add a night, that I am responsible for going rates. However, I ALREADY HAVE A ROOM. I’VE HAD A ROOM SINCE JULY. I was specifically told I could change/​cancel within 48 hours of my arrival. yeah, sure you can but your reservation is actually void if you do. So, that’s a lie. When I try to use logic and reasoning with the beyond rude man on the phone he refuses to listen. He simply reads «hotel policy to me» and refuses to allow me to speak to a manager. Flat out refuses.
I hang up and call Hilton Honors. I explain the situation, the woman agrees it’s insane and goes to try and cancel my Thursday but not make me ‘start over’ with the overpriced rates and keep my rate THAT I HAVE HAD SNCE JULY. Can’t do it. So she calls the hotel. They refuse and state, «she can pay for Thursday if she wants to keep her rates». Even the Hilton HOnors woman states how bad their customer service is regarding this matter.
ARe you f-​ing kidding me. Not okay. I tell her right then and there that this hotel’s actions are the sole reason I will never use Hilton again. She actually agrees and understands and states that she is submitting a report about this as it’s cost a loyal customer (let alone 8 other people who are also coming and are joining me over in Marriot land rather than stay at this crappy hotel)
So, due to the piss poor customer service. I have cancelled 3 domestic reservations from now until December. Oh, hi I am also travelling to Israel and Jordan for weeks in December. I cancelled those too. I’m in the process of booking at Marriotts.
So congrats Elara! I’m converting my HIlton points into miles and y’all can shove it.

Eu amei esse hotel! Foi uma agradabilíssima surpresa porque quando fomos reservar, ficamos meio receosas por nunca termos ouvido falar no hotel com tantos famosos em Las Vegas.
Primeiro pra encontrar o hotel já foi uma aventura, mas tudo culpa do gps, logo um segurança me explicou e fomos pro estacionamento (gratuito).
O hotel fica colado meio dentro do Planet Hollywood, mas graças a Deus tem sua própria entrada pelo shopping e você não tem que passar pelo cassino, como na maioria dos hotéis de LV.
A entrada é bonita e elegante, mas não aquele exagero de luxo que você espera de Vegas. Gostamos, somos do grupo menos é mais!

O quarto era simplesmente um apartamento de luxo em que a janela era do teto ao chão com uma vista linda da cidade toda e como chegamos à noite com todas aquelas luzes, a vista estava mais incrível ainda!
Tinha sala com projetor (do teto ao chão!), cozinha completa com lava louças, um quarto gigante com uma cama gigante e a maior jacuzzi que eu já vi! E o banheiro era um palácio à parte que tinha até máquina de lavar! Claro que eu queria morar ali!!!
No hotel tem piscina, mas nem usamos porque fomos no frio, e o que bomba são as festas nas piscinas dos grandes hotéis.
Pra quem quer conforto, luxo e ao mesmo tempo paz mesmo no meio do furacão de Vegas esse hotel é perfeito! Dava pra andar pra todos os shows, pra ver os outros hotéis, pra toda a strip e depois voltar pra descansar. Perfeito!

Pleasantly surprised with my stay at Elara! This used to be the PH Westgate Towers, but has been taken over by the Hilton family.
This review is coming from a non-​smoker. I love the fact that Elara is a non-​smoking facility. Ahh, feels like I’m home in Cali. I can breathe when I go home for the night! Elara actually smells so fresh and floral when you walk in the lobby. Most girls will appreciate this. They do check for room keys in front of the elevators.
The room was clean and spacious. We had a one bedroom suite. The living room had a pull out sofa. And the best part: the bathroom mirror and counter space. Having 3 – 5 girls getting ready at one time can really pose a difficult time in other hotels (the struggle is real), but the counter space is wide with a double sink and deep for plenty of room for makeup bags, hot curling irons, lashes, etc. Also the lighting is perfection. May I suggest taking a bathroom selfie before heading out for the night.
Our room also had a kitchenette with a mini fridge (useful for storing leftover Earl’s and water for rehydration), coffee maker, and a microwave. The bridal party we were with stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it had a full kitchen and even washer/​dryer. I would definitely come stay here with a larger group and take advantage of those amenities.
We hung out poolside after checking out, but didn’t get into the pool. Looked clean and not too crowded.
Location: Connected to Miracle Mile which means access to shopping and food. There’s a Starbucks in the lobby.
I did not have a car and so did not deal with parking/​valet. However, I’ve stayed in PH before and they share the same parking lot and I haven’t had any issues previously. Except that the parking garage is not directly connected to the hotel so you will have to walk through part of Miracle Mile with your luggage.
I would stay again and recommend it to others. The price tag is fair. Not the cheapest you will find on the strip, but still fair. See you again soon, Vegas!

Over Labor Day Weekend my girls and I gathered at Elara to celebrate my last hurrah as a single chick — my Bachelorette party. Trying to keep things close and intimate I kept the party to 8 girls. Scouring a few different hotels we ultimately chose Elara Hilton.
Elara is within the Hilton family and is located on the South end of the strip directly behind the Miracle Mile Shops and is connected to Planet Hollywood.
Our main reason for choosing Elara was to keep all of the girls together comfortably — at a good price. And that’s def what we found. Our suite was massive and was exactly what we were looking for. We booked two adjoining rooms, each had a full king bed as well as a spacious bathroom. Between the two rooms we had extra goodies such as a washer and dryer (what?!), a dishwasher, a fully stocked kitchen, a movie projector as well as a huge pullout couch. View was meh, we could see part of the strip and the pool — but let’s be honest how much time did we really spend looking out the window?
They had a large family pool completed with cabanas, pool chairs (both in and out of water) as well as a on deck bar that was open pretty late. For the weekend they hired a DJ and had a «pool party.» I put this in quotes because the DJ was far hidden from the crowd and the music was quite a random assortment. Perhaps if you are on a family vacation it would have been appropriate but most of the people in the pool didn’t even seem to notice that the music was there. Sad.
For everyone who can’t do without WiFi, they do have a few options to purchase. We had a few issues initially getting connected, we were not presented with all of the options and lengths so we essentially had to end up purchasing WiFi daily — and even then they put limitations on the number of devices we could use. WiFi and cell reception remained spotty during our entire stay which was incredibly annoying.
A few pitfalls about staying in a hotel that isn’t directly on the strip, expect to pay more for your taxi ride. Many times when we came out to hail a cab there were none. Turns out a lot of cans don’t bother coming and hanging out at hotels that aren’t really well known — go figure. We had to navigate through the mall multiple times to PH to get cabs. Speaking of taxis, a few times our driver would get confused and not even know where Elara was.
Overall it was just an ok stay, everything was fine. I loved the cool stuff that was included in the room but the difficulties with the taxi situations has turned me off from wanting to come back.

The first room we got was not good at all. On the 9^th floor. The living room area was very dusty– as if it had not been cleaned or dwelled in for some time. The sleeper sofa’s mattress had yellow stains. The bathroom sink had a disgusting hard water build up that made the facet difficult to turn on. The view also sucked. After complaining to the front desk the room was changed to the 36^th floor (3623). No major complaints on that room and the view was soooo much better. The bathroom sinks had slight hardwater build up but not nearly as bad as room 923. Nice hotel and features. The connection to Miracle Mile Mall was a plus. And although its not directly on the strip its not far at all, as you can get to the strip by walking through the miracle mile mall.

An escape from the Strip hidden within the strip. Great for a girls weekend, a romantic couples trip, or a family vacation. Elara is my absolute favorite Vegas hotel (within our real life budget at least!). My husband and I are NOT HGVC owners, we despise the other HGVC «center strip» location, and we do not have children, but we LOVE this hotel.
Starbucks in the 100% smoke free, non casino lobby, and a wonderful, remodeled, non douchebag pool area with tons of loungers and cabanas.
Room sizes vary — we have tried the 1 bedroom and loved it, this time we had a king but I think it was a little larger than just a standard king, it was perfect (large couch area, mini fridge, microwave). The shower heads are heaven. The rooms are updated and clean.
A short walk through the Miracle Mile mall and you are in Planet Hollywood or on the strip.
**Note regarding housekeeping — HGVC «owners» only get housekeeping something like once a week (I know this because I made the mistake ONCE of sitting through their sales pitch — avoid that like the plague!). If you are a non-​owner (a regular hotel guest), you have to alert the maids that you want your room cleaned using this cool system they have by the room door. I think it helps them figure out who is a non-​owner (and gets housecleaning daily) vs an owner (who does not).

Hallelujah — This place is great because it allows me to breathe actual air! There are no idiots smoking cigarettes! The Elara is a very nice non-​gaming and non-​smoking hotel on the strip
As you walk through the lobby, you pass the pool, the lobby-​bar and a Starbucks and then enter directly into the Miracle Mile. The Elara’s connection into the Miracle Mile is super convenient. Instantly you have access to some fun shopping, decent food and cheap booze. There are 2 ABC stores in the Miracle Mile to load up on hotel room supplies.
The Elara has a nice pool scene. They play (somewhat) adult music & have ok food & beverage service. Laying back in a pool lounge chair, with a drink is a great way to waste away an afternoon.
The lobby may not stink like cigarette smoke, but it still has a very odd odor to it. It smelt like a camp fire or something burning to me… If was quite different & probably some lingering smelly-​effect from the Hotel’s previous owners that allowed smoking. Who knows? Regardless, I would recommend this place.

I got this mixed up with the other Hilton Grand Vacation at the Flamingo. I’m glad we we bought our timeshare at this new Hilton, which was formerly a Hard Rock Hotel and very «cool». Our 20 something kids enjoyed having their own attached room, and we enjoyed the full wall projection system built into the audio-​visual system. Shades in the room are fully automated, and has a view of the western part of the Las Vegas Strip. The Elara is attached to the new outdoor mall and is now a destination for people coming to the strip. Because it was December, the weather was slightly chilly, but not freezing, and allowed us to walk the outdoors comfortably and take in the Christmas sights. If you choose this for your timeshare week, you’ll enjoy both the outdoor entertainment, and comfort of your room after an evening on the town.
If you are a homebody, the full kitchen allows you to cook dinner or have a nice quiet evening watching television against the full patio wall screen. These rooms are meant for entertainment! The Fitness Center has built-​in televisions and is open at all hours. It is well kept and seldom used by the patrons, as the equipment looked brand new! After your workout, you can enjoy a fully stocked Starbucks downstairs, which is open 24 hours for your convenience.

Hôtel très confortable, spacieux et luxueux ! Certes, il n’est pas directement sur le trip mais en passant par la galerie commercial, vous y serez en moins de 10min.
Le personnel est nickel, les chambres sont parfaites et le room service est très correct (un peu cher tout de même)
La piscine, bien que peu profonde, est très agréable et reste ensoleillée très longtemps.
Bref, à recommander !

Wir buchten online eine Junior Suite für 2 Nächte. Die Junior Suite war groß mit Küche inkl. Ami-​Kühlschrank und Herd + Mikro und Marmortisch mit 4 Hockern. großes Bad mit Dusche, Waschmaschine, Schlafzimmer mit Jacuzzi/​Whirlpool, Wohnbereich mit rotem Ledersofa. Das Zimmer verfügte über 2 sehr große TV, 1 mittlerem und 1 kleinem im Bad. Der TV im Wohnzimmer ließ sich gleichzeitig über einen Beamer an die Jalousien der deckenhohen Fenster projizieren.
Wir hatten etwas Pech und hatten im 6. Obergeschoss ein Zimmer nach hinten zum Parkhaus raus. Zudem war es nicht wirklich sauber: Wasserspuren und Ränder im Bad und Staub auf den Tischen, zudem war alles sehr abgewohnt und zerkratzt. Die moderne Lampe im Wohnzimmer ging erst gar nicht. Das hatten wir uns anders vorgestellt (habe dies übrigens beim Checkout reklamiert und man sagte mir, dass das Housekeeping-​Personal gewechselt wurde und sich dies erst einspielen müsste. Für mich aber keine Entschuldigung!)
Den Whirpool zu befüllen dauert übrigens rund 2 Std, das Wasser läuft sehr langsam. Also Geduld mitbringen.
Die Waschmaschine (von LG) funktionierte gut, übrigens inkl. Trockner
Gelegen ist das Hotel direkt am Planet Hollywood, also unmittelbar am Strip, man geht durch die Mall ca. 10 min, bis man direkt am Strip ist. Empfehlenswert ist das Hotel aus unserer Sicht also nur bedingt: Ausstattung der Räume klasse, Sauberkeit nicht gut. Lage unserer Zimmers nicht empfehlenswert zudem ist das Hotel schon ziemlich abgewohnt. Nochmal würden wir dieses Hotel wohl eher nicht nehmen, für die 2 Nächte war es aber gerade okay. Da hatten wir schon bessere 3 Sterne-​Hotels.
Hatten für die Junior-​Suite einen Online-​Deal mit 130 Euro/​Nacht pro Zimmer und das an einem Wochenende. Frühstück wie bei allen Hotels in Vegas nicht inbegriffen.
Zu erwähnen ist auch, dass es KEIN kostenloses Wifi gibt, diesen Zugang kann man mit einem viel zu teuren Tagespass aber kaufen (Empfehlung: im Dennys oder Starbucks am Strip gibts kostenlos Wifi)
