Not a bad place to check out if your in the area. I had the bacon egg and cheese on a toasted Asiago bagel. Bacon was crisp and tasty, bagel was soft even after being toasted and egg was decent. A little pricy for a breakfast sandwich at around $ 6.50. Food overall was decent and wait time was fairly short. Did look like it needed to be cleaned, especially the bathroom. If the price was more reasonable, say around $ 4, I would have given 4 stars.

I usually get the New Yorker sandwich but today I tried the traditional nova lox sandwich. Basically salmon and lox on an everything bagel and it was amazing! Salmon, cream cheese, tomatoes, onions and capers. So good! I love the customer service here, my co worker and I train service dogs and they are always welcoming and very sweet here. Definitely a great spot for a quick and delicious bite to eat.

Ok food that has been slapped together really fast by unfriendly staff. Place is not overly clean & restroom is n need of repairs. Also you have to ask for a key. I had a ham sandwich. When I came out of the restroom, the lady who took my order was sitting with another customer; she pointed to the counter and mumbled that my sandwich was ready. I had included a tip but it probably isn’t necessary since you order at the counter and they don’t bring it out to you. The onions were overly powerful like they get when they’ve been siting out too long. The mustard and mayo were slathered on and dripping out. I won’t come back unless it’s just for bagels.

This place looked like a great alternative to the KNOWNCOFFEESHOPNEXTDOOR. I decided to go here in hopes for faster service. There was only two people working and it took over 15 minutes for me to get a plain bagel and smoothie. I was not going to write a Unilocal because I figured they were just short staffed. The reason I decided to write a review was the fact that I was going through my emails and noticed an extra charge on my receipt to a credit card use fee. There was NO sign showing that there would be an extra charge and the lady behind the register did not even bother to tell me that there was a charge. I would have paid cash if she mentioned this to me. They were very unorganized and there were about 5 people behind me waiting for their breakfast items. Some even left after waiting so long. They need to be more organized and not rushed, if they were not rushed they probably would have mentioned the EXTRA fee. Will not ever go back there, better off with a bigger corporation.

Actually left after attempting to order… cashier was too busy on her cell phone, they don’t make their own bagels, they raised their prices. A bagel costs 1.30 which isn’t terrible but you want cream cheese? Add another $ 2! How does cream cheese cost more than the bagel?!? No coffee… this place just doesn’t make sense.

It’s hard to find a good bagel place in Vegas and this place is top notch! I’ve tried a few different bagels here, but I am obsessed with the«Tijuana Hot» breakfast sandwich. They actually fry the egg and and sausage here and it is not frozen that gives it a fresh made taste. The Lunch sandwiches are just as good – They make some of the best Tuna in town and the Santa Fe Turkey is awesome! The bagels are also fresh and very good, you must give this place a shot.

My coworker introduced me to this place. Very clean little restaurant and my food was totally fresh! I got a signature sandwich with chips & bottled water. I do wish they had a water faucet for their styrofoam cups though. My only option for water was a plastic bottle and I’m trying to reduce my plastic waste as much as possible. The food was on point, quick to serve and super fresh! I definitely plan to come back again. Very filling!

For a hole in a the wall local place you would think their prices would be better than the big chain bagel places, but they are not. $ 3.75 for a bagel with cream cheese. Food is good but the staff is just okay. I will probably just go next door to Starbucks for a bagel or pastry from now on

A sad excuse for a bagel place. Showed up at 7:31 am for breakfast… locked. Therefore, I bought a Sunday paper at Starbucks. No one showed up til 7:56 am to open up. Looks like they brought in bagels from another establishment. Nothing was prepared here. I am watching them bring in bag after bag from their truck to begin their day. If your facilities aren’t working, spend the money to get them in working order. I will now skip this establishment. Their actions have spoken louder than words.

Ever wake up and the first thought you have is «I need a bagel» ? Of course you have! But if you’re like me, you’ve probably woke up closer to lunch a few times with that same desire. Empire’s got you taken care of. They’ll turn your hopes for a bagel breakfast into a sandwich more appropriate for the lunch hour. Sure, they’re not the first to offer bagel sandwiches for breakfast and lunch, but they do seem to make them fresher and tastier than some of the others(especially the chains). They also make regular sandwiches that look pretty darn good but I haven’t tried those yet. Me and my cousin came in the other day and tried this place out for the first time. It was a kind of small place, only two employees working, there was no one else eating there but it was around 1:30 so most of the bagel-loving crowd had probably flown south by now I figured. The ambience wasn’t bad, but it was almost creepy how quiet it was. Empire, if you’re listening, get some house music going, or hire some mariachis or something. I don’t like to hang out in total silence. It looked like they started to decorate at one point and then just kinda gave up. But other than that, there’s nothing I can pick on. The food was actually much better than I expected. I got the Tijuana Hot bagel sandwich, because I like to party with all things spicy. This did the trick. Tasty little jalapeño bagel, with cream cheese, jalapeños, a fried egg, bacon, and melted cheese. If you think that sounds delicious it’s because you also know how to live. My cousin got the traditional nova lox bagel sandwich, which was also really tasty. It had a lot more fish on it then I expected with is a plus for sure. Prices were $ 7 and $ 9, with chips and a drink. A little pricey, but at least it was fresh and delicious so I can’t complain too much. Great little spot for breakfast or lunch!

Picked up food this morning for myself and my co workers! The bagels are pretty good! I am pretty plain so I only get cream cheese but the cream cheese is REALLY good here! One of my coworkers got an egg salad bagel and the other got turkey! They both said they were good although one of the bagels was pretty burnt so she just ate around it! Decent bagel shop and its conveniently located right next to a Starbucks!

Honestly, I wanted to try something new. The chicken Caesar salad tortilla wrap was a like a mixture between Fergie and Jesus and a pinch of Michael Jackson. R.I.P. Anyways, was way too bomb for me to even describe in words. Go try the damn place. And grab a croissant while you’re at it. It’s messy but worth it in every way.

Stopped in on a Friday around 11 am with my husband and two year old who kept asking for«a bagel.» We got out and walked in to find that they were all out of bagels. There was nothing there. She apologized and told me that she was waiting for a delivery. I couldn’t even judge the bagel because I had to leave with my toddler crying for one that we couldn’t give her. All in all… I will never go back. Why would I? Bad business. Just bad. Before I posted, I read the other reviews. Turns out, I’m not the first. I should also add that when we showed up that the place was EMPTY. No wonder why. Get it together, Empire Bagels!

So I thought I would check this place out… big mistake. I was there early one morning to get bagels for the office, all the cases were empty(?) When I asked about it, she pointed to plastic bins behind her on the counter full of bagels(apparently they’re made at another location and delivered) = not impressed. There are 3 different size options for the cream cheese, the containers were not sealed, when ordered they are scooped from another container, I have no idea where that other container was oR where it came from. As I waited to pay, the items behind the counter were straight out of a restaurant impossible show. This place is expensive for bagels(not freshly made) and cream cheese(possibly from Costco) and when I mentioned the prices to the cashier she said«I can give you your money back» and that«the other bagel places boil theirs and we bake ours»…ummm but how do I know that, these bagels were delivered from who knows where and when ¿ unfortunately, I didn’t have time to go to another shop so I reluctantly took what I paid for… the bagels were not sliced… thanks for the option to do that… yeah customer service = sucked!

Bad service. Could not understand them and they kept getting my order wrong. The bagels were for a customer. They seemed ok. Would go somewhere else first

I have been here a few times. To sum it up: over priced, poor quality lunch meats, and dirty. It’s hard to believe this place is in business. They have been out of bagels several times during lunch hours. Their menu is covered with little tags to indicate new prices which is truly unprofessional. Overall the place is covered in a layer of filth. It is right outside my neighborhood and I love bagels and sandwiches, so I want to like this place. But I just don’t…

I’m not impressed. Overpriced for something that didn’t hit the target. I spent over $ 12 for a simple wrap and smoothie for breakfast. The facility isnt too clean and the women barely spoke loud or clear enough for me to hear them. I should have just spent my money next door at Starbucks.

Eleven miles southwest of New York-New York there is a New York style bagel shop named Empire Bagels at the southwest corner of Fort Apache and Patrick. I was unaware of Empire Bagels up to the time that my Unilocal friend Lea checked-in here. I was under the impression that I tried all of Vegas’s independent bagel shops. Lea’s check-in developed into a mental bookmark that I was going to erase the next time I was in the southwest part of the Valley. Yesterday morning, I erased this mental bookmark at the time that I stopped here on the way to a Summerlin park adventure. The first thing that I noticed from the parking lot is that it is next to Starbuck’s. What a clever concept having a bagel shop next to Starbuck’s. Customers can pick up a bagel sandwich to bring into Starbuck’s and others could bring in a Starbuck’s coffee or Frapucino to compliment a bagel. When I walked in, the woman working behind the counter greeted me. She let me take my time ordering off the menu displayed on the wall. I ordered a Nova lox with cream cheese, tomatoes, onions, and numerous toppings for $ 8.99. At 11 a.m., they were out of a handful of bagels. I was satisfied with a sesame bagel. The sandwich was good(3 stars) at the same time it fell short of the New York bagels(5 stars) that I vividly remember. The sandwich included a can of a Coke Beverage and bag of chips, which reminds me more of a Jason’s Deli that authentic New York Bagel shop. New York bagel shops generally follow the practice of including either potato salad or macaroni salad plus a pickle with the sandwich. In my taste, fresh potato salad or macaroni salad tastes better than a bag of chips. In Las Vegas, the Bagel Café follows this practice. Noticeably missing in Empire Bagels was the scent of fresh baked bagels. The smell of fresh baked bagels is one of the most delicious smells. It is evidence that the bagels are being made fresh and on the premises. In New York, bagel shops are also called bagel bakeries. To be fair, the scent of fresh baked bagels is missing in all of the bagel shops that I have visited then consequently reviewed in Las Vegas. The upshot was that this bagel was missing the softness and warmness of many bagels I have enjoyed up in the Empire State. If a five star New York Bagel shop was at this location, I assume it would be so popular that the Clark County Highway Department would expedite installing a traffic light at Fort Apache and Patrick. I am happy that there is a New York style bagel shop eleven miles southwest of New York-New York. In my heart, I know there are better bagel shops 3,000 miles northeast of New York — New York. In conclusion, I rate Empire Bagels at a 3 stars equals good.

Quick look: Unlike any deli’s in the Empire State, the«Empire Bagel’s» versions were stale, bland and stored in what looked like plastic garbage bags. The sandwiches can best be described as mediocre at best. In depth review: Instead of waiting in line at the busy Starbucks next door we decided to get lunch at someplace new and Empire Bagels looked ideal. We are from NY and assumed that a business advertising the«Empire State» in it’s name would have bagels that tasted like what we used to get back home, sadly we were wrong. Entire place was empty except for one table at 12pm(lunchtime) on a Monday. This should have tipped us off. The menu board looked messy as someone has tried to change prices w/duct tape and paper. A few sandwiches and their ingredients were also changed or covered up. The sign above the drink cooler telling us to «smile that we are on camera and to be honest and pay for our beverages» was a nice welcoming touch. Was loud inside the shop as two large industrial fans are blasting overhead. They also nickel and dime you and charge you an additional 50 cents to use a credit or debit card. The sandwiches already cost about $ 8 — $ 10 on average, not exactly reasonable when you add in the extra fee. The sandwiches are made fresh and they took about 10 minutes before they were ready. So if you are pressed for time you nay want to call ahead. The Asiago Cheese Bagel that was on my California Club was stale and crunchy like a saltine cracker. The avocado slice on the sandwich was turning brown and starting to oxidize(see photo) — thought they were made«fresh?» Why serve a customer a brown avocado? The turkey was wet and dripped water from the bottom when I attempted to eat it. My wife also complained that her plain bagel was also stale and tasteless. She also had wet meat on her sandwich and dripped all over when trying to eat. The sandwiches were edible at best and they did give us good sized portions. Summary: We were a bit disappointed by our first visit here. Expected so much more for a place called«Empire Bagel’s.» Most likely will not stop back if we are on this side of town again. We are still on the hunt for the perfect bagel in the Las Vegas valley that reminds us of the chewy and tasty bagels we grew up on back home…
