A renowned physician and expert in the latest eyewear styles, Dr. Edward Malik, O. D and his highly skilled team provide wellness eye exams, diabetic screenings, specialty contact lenses, bifocals, astigmatism and dry eye solutions. In addition, Eyes & Optics features Optomap Retinal Imaging, LASIK management, Restasis and Latisse therapy. Eyes & Optics boasts a clientele that includes celebrities, politicians, industry leaders and hipsters.

Eyes & Optics offers a wide selection of indie designer eyewear. Featured designers include Chrome Hearts, Emilio Pucci, Oliver Peoples, Alain Mikli, Tag Heuer, Fred Paris, Initium, Salt, Kaenon Polarized and Dillon Optics.

History

Established in 1987.

For 28 years, Eyes & Optics and Dr. Edward Malik have provided executive level primary and medical eye care. The new location in Downtown Summerlin, by Trader Joes, features the top ten list of indie designers working in the field, along with classics and collectable eyewear.

E&O is Las Vegas’ only true cosmopolitan eyewear shop and this year was voted Top 4 America’s Finest Optical Retailers by the editors of Invision Magazine. It has earned a reputation as the first place to shop for the hottest eyewear and sunglass styles featuring a number of exclusive brands, from Etnia Barcelona, Klaus Bellinger, Stella McCartney, Cazal, Initium, Chopard, Kame ManNen, Blackfin, Ziggy, Lafont, Oliver Peoples, and many more. The onsite optical lab is rated «Zeiss Expert». Several times a year, designer meet and greet, and trunk shows are hosted by the best, most informed staff in the City.

Business Owner

Dr. Edward J. Malik established Eyes & Optics, Ltd. on Rainbow Blvd. in 1987, which quickly became known as the trend-​setting, cosmopolitan optical shop in the valley. Eyes & Optics has been featured in «Exclusively Las Vegas,» «Best Places in Las Vegas,» «Vision Monday,» «944», «Luxury Magazine» and on the cover of «Eyecare Business Magazine», «America’s Best Optometrists» and ranked as one of the «Top 25 Optometrists» in Nevada by The American Society of Healthcare Professionals. Malik previously created Oculus Fine Opticians for Caesars Palace Appian Way Shops and Shade Brigade Sunglass Company.

Dr. Malik attended the Southern California College of Optometry, earning a B.S. degree in Visual Psychophysics and a Doctor of Optometry degree. His thesis explored the connections between biological vision systems and robotic vision systems. He is also a founding member and drummer with the band, Melancholics.
