Fantastic Sam’s

When I first arrived, I was given a stylist who wasn’t very helpful to me. I was looking for ideas/​suggestions for a change in hairstyle/​coloring. She passed me off to another stylist named Angela. I was so thankful. Angela was so helpful and pleasant and had great ideas! I left very happy!

I’m so disappointed. This place is a joke. Not only were they rude the place is just dirty.. their towels smell like mildew. Stay far far away..

Wow i wish i had a good experience like everyone here. Unfortunately, the lady here who cut my hair last month was half asleep and careless when i elaborated how i wanted my hair to look like. I should have not got a haircut here since i get better service at the Decatur/​Ann location. It must have been a wake up call to me when i came in the first time months prior before i got my first haircut at this location when there was a few people ahead of me and i decided to leave and give my business to the other fantastic sam’s location. Currently, my hair is still pretty short as she just buzzed my head instead of using clippers… Yeah two completely different things. I guess she forgot to get her frappucinno before she clocked in.

Was here to get a haircut from Rosa after looking at previous review but she wasn’t around. Don did my hair instead and was impressed. Friendly too. Did what I asked of him; Short, neat, tidy & clean. Awesome Don!

I’ve been going to this salon for several years now. I had tried a few others when I first moved to Vegas, but none of them really got my hair done the way I wanted. My fav stylist here is Layla, she is so talented and is as good with cuts/​styling as she is with coloring. I’d say she’s one of the best colorists I’ve had work on my hair. She listens to her clients, but she also makes suggestions as to what will look the best (especially with color). Prices will depend on what you’re having done (highlighting, lowlighting, etc.). But I’ve paid a lot in the past at other salons and didn’t get as nice a job as I do from Layla. She’s always professional, always on time, and very consistent with her ability to accomplish each cut/​color. I never have to worry that she’ll ruin me like I do with some hairdressers where you don’t know from one time to the next what they’ll do! But Layla always gets it right. The store is located in a nice shopping center and very convenient to Vons, so you can do your shopping and get your hair done in the same area.

First time and a wonderful experience. Rosa, the stylist, was wonderful.
I will be a steady customer now.

This is my first Unilocal review and unfortunately it’s not a good one. This was all I could think of while the girl was cutting my hair, that I was going to go home and immediately write a review, because it was that bad of an experience.
I went there at 9:30am and I was told to wait 20 mins which I didn’t mind because Vons was right next to it and that gave me time to do a little grocery shopping. I came back to the salon and was helped by the same person who mans the reception desk. She asked me what I wanted which was a just a trim and a fringe cut. At this time, about 2 more customers arrived and they had about 4 hair stylist who were already working on other clients. To say the least, it was a busy day for them. She then took me to the shampooing station and started to wet my hair, now, if you’re like me the shampooing part is one of the things I actually look forward to when getting my hair cut. So I was not happy when she used cold water to shampoo my hair, it was really uncomfortable, and this lady was such in a hurry that she was splashing water into my face and using her fingernails to massage my scalp hurriedly, I was already dodging her hands and wincing but she was such in a rush that I guess she didn’t notice. She then put conditioner on my hair and immediately rinsed it off without even letting it sit on my hair, not even for 30 seconds.
We then headed back to the cutting station where you could tell that she was such in a rush because she threw my hair everywhere while she was cutting it. My wet hair was literally whipping my face. At this point, I just really want to get out of here. She didn’t even engage me in a conversation or even asked me if i was okay with the hair cut when she was done with it. I didn’t know it was over until she took of the cape and just said «okay, thank you.» Seriously? I paid and left no tip because I was really unhappy with the service. When I got home and looked in the mirror, I found out that my bangs was uneven. I’m sorry to say that I’m never going back to this location or even might have to rethink before going to another fantastic sams ever.

Great service and friendly environment! Love this place. Only place my husband trusts when we visit Vegas.

I got my hair cut today. Initially I was ok with the service, even I’d I was in excruciating pain (the joy of having a tender head and a guy with no hair styling). The biggest complaint I have is that another stylish made sure to come tell my stylist his next appointment, her best friend, was there. So even though my hair should have been nice and styled it was my stylist was rushe and my hair was a damp frizzy mess when I left. Even when I’ve had bad haircuts in the past (like way too short) it will at least be styled when you left. I hate going to salons and getting my hair done, but usually it’s worth it. I feel like I could’ve gotten a better cut at Walmart or supercuts for a much better value than the $ 40 I spent here. Thank you for literally making me cry the first time ever after a hair cut.

Do NOT use Amy she was terrible my hair was down to my pant line and I asked her to cut it a certain way she said I probably won’t like it but she’ll do it then she didn’t do it she cut it the way she thought I would like it so now my hair is up to my shoulders and looks like a fifth-​grader cut it one tip do not go to a hairstylist who puts their hair up in a greasy ponytail as sloppy as a third grader could do their self! PS how does somebody who doesn’t even know you tell you you’re not going to like it.

I got my hair done here today I had Claudia up for my hairstylist she was absolutely amazing I definitely recommend her she absolutely knows what she’s doing I have blond hair and I have had a rough time finding someone that can do it right

My hair grew like a weed this summer, and still being fairly new in town I haven’t really established a trusted hair stylist. I saw the 9.99 adult haircut deal on Unilocal and thought to give this place a shot. The lady at the counter was busy but acknowledged my presence and I was checked in quickly. Then I met my stylist, Amye-​she was friendly and helped break the ice quickly. I can be shy when I go to a salon, and it’s awkward just sitting there quietly, she made me feel very welcome. The vibe in this place was nice, no cattiness, just nice people. I went for some layering with bangs, and brought a pic b/​c I’ve found some stylists in the past struggle without one. She completely understood what I wanted and went to task. Overall, pleased with my cut, and overall experience. I’ll be coming back!

Layla is my hairstylist, I have being here many times, it’s always a deal, I have long black hair, the cost to get my hair layered, blow dried and curled is under $ 40, what a steal.
My friend gets her hair colored here, and it’s look amazing, she always the color right, the location is convenient for me, as it is close to Starbucks, vons, etc, I usually make an appointment as my hairstylist is always booked up but today, I happened to call and I got in
It is good for walk ins, but I always see regulars there.

been getting my haircuts from here for past 3 yrs. ask for «Don» he is the only male hairstylist there so can’t miss him. I have had my haircut all over town even from my wifes big buck place no one does as good of job as Don. won’t go anywhere else. all you have to do is tell him exactly what you want and boy does he do an excellent job. other places will ask how much you want cut off for example you say like a inch but no more when your done you look and every time it’s like 2 or 3 inches!! why do they even ask? this won’t happen here. take my son to cut his hair not coming back here, they should paid me by letting them learn how to cut hair, with my son the cut was horrible, I do not recommend this place

Got my hair cut here today. It was quick, inexpensive, and cut the way I like it. Can’t complain about that.
