First Response Security

I’ve had multiple accounts with Monitronics, at multiple locations. So when I called them to ask to add an account to a new location, they put me in touch with First Response Security, Jason in particular.
The tech that showed up to install the system was on time, and helpful. He also came back the next day to explain to everyone the basics of how to use the panel, and it’s various features.

We bought our first home this year and my husband works late as a bartender so my 8mo old and I are alone for a majority of the night. To make me feel safe, my husband purchased a home security system from First Response Security and we could not be happier.
Jason came to our home and his sales pitch was not pushy and he was so sweet to our dog and baby. He explained all the elements of the system and got a tech to come and install it an hour later. The tech was great and explained all of the ins and outs of the system and answered all our questions. It took him about 2 hours to install and sit there with us to get the app up and running and make sure we felt comfortable using it.
The glass sensor has worked perfectly with no false alarms so far, and the door sensors are great with the baby because when she is old enough to reach the handle, the system will tell me which door she is trying to escape from! On top of that, we got the thermostats that are connected to the app on our phones so we are saving money by lowering our energy costs. My husband and I really love being able to change the a/​c setting from the couch because, let’s be honest, who is actually going to get up from your favorite tv show to turn the air off upstairs?
Overall, I feel safe at night with this system, and that’s all that matters!

Had multiple issues with the system they installed and Monitronics was supposedly monitoring. They promised to come in 3 times and didn’t show up while business person wouldn’t even return my call. When I called Monitronics they first pointed me back to First Response Security then told me how I should be dealing only with Monitronics and threw them under the bus. In the end they didn’t resolve my issue and tried to force me to pay out the reminder of the contract even though they couldn’t provide me a service. Extremely disappointed and frustrated.

We’ve been wanting an alarm system for a while now due to what’s been happening in our neighborhood. After shopping around a bit a friend recommended Jason to us. We never felt pressured during his sales pitch, he was very professional and answered all of our questions. I tend to be out of town a lot and I can now work with a peace of mind knowing my wife is being protected. We’ve had the system for a little under a month and we couldn’t be happier, the mobile app is a huge convince… the ability arm/​disarm the house from anywhere anytime is a wonderful feature… controlling the thermostat is an added bonus.

First Response Security came to my house today, opened my gate, and when they left they left the gate open. This isn’t the type of security company I want monitoring my home. My neighbor watched them do it. Why leave the gate open? Very unprofessional in my opinion.

Just got our security system a month ago and I feel so much more safe. I can leave my house with no worries. The system is so easy to use and I love that I control everything through my phone.

This company has really suspicious employees who go door to door soliciting. Yesterday two of his employees were in my neighborhood. I heard one of the two men push on my front door. He did not ring my doorbell or knock. As I looked out the window, I saw him looking in. Very unsettling and scary. I then saw their other employee taking a picture of my neighbors license plate with his phone. They had flyers in their hand but didn’t stop at anyone else’s house on my street. They were wearing normal clothing without any sign they were with this company other than a flyer. Speaking to other neighbors, they would leave the house after knocking when they heard dogs barking from within the house before the homeowner answered the door. When I called the customer service line, the man who answered the phone was very rude and defensive about his employees and his business. There was no customer service in the sense that he could understand why I would be upset about the professionalism of his employees as they are soliciting. He just said that I will have nothing to worry about in the future. I really didn’t feel any relief or confidence for mine or my neighborhood’s safety after the phone call. The safety of his potential customers didn’t seem to be a genuine priority of his.

My husband at times needs to leave on duty and did not feel comfortable leaving us, his family, without any security. He did research and a cop friend highly recommended First Response Security System. Jason can and explained to us how the system works. Ever since we got it, we all have a peace of mind and my husband now feels better when he leaves us knowing we are secured. Another thing, everything can be controlled from your phone! With the new high tech thermostats that were installed, our energy bill had gone down too!

I’ve had my security system for about one month now. So far it works great. I really like the phone app as it’s easier to turn on and off from anywhere. I like that you can program multiple passcodes for various people in the house.
Jason was pleasant to work with. He explained all the features of the system. While I did feel a little pressured to make the purchase that day, I did decide I was getting a good deal.
So far no complaints with the equipment or service.

Update: you are such a big liar. You got all your equipment back. There was no loss to your compnay and we never hung up on you! No one should trust your company!

This is my first time using a security system company, and I have been very impressed with Jason and his crew. My system was installed quickly and the installer was very patient explaining everything and making sure we knew how to use everything before he left. It is very easy to arm and disarm the system using our iPhones, and even better, we can adjust the thermostats and control the house temperatures, even if we are miles away. The first night when I woke up because it was hot, and adjusted the air conditioner from my phone without getting up was glorious.
The system also reminds me to alarm the system, when both of our cell phones get a few miles from our house, which is very handy, as I am often shuttling three kids to different activities and have enough things to remember!
We had one false alarm, when my dog managed to open the back door while we weren’t home, and I received instant text alerts, followed by a call from the security company. I told them I wasn’t at home, and they sent over a security officer to see if everything was ok. The gentleman waited in my driveway until I got home, accompanied me inside to make sure nothing was stolen, and was very kind about my silly oversight in not locking the backdoor.

I reached out to First Response security to install a home security system and promptly heard from the company. We scheduled an install day for a Saturday morning and they were quick to accommodate. The installer was prompt and professional and did a great job walking us through all the features and functionality of the alarm system and app. They helped us design the system that would work best in our environment and talked me out of purchasing additional equipment as our dogs could trigger false alarms. We’ve had multiple questions that came up after these folks left and they immediately called us back and answered all of our questions. This was a very smooth process and I would recommend First Response Security to my friends!

We had a great experience with this company! Jason was awesome, he showed us how everything works before we installed it and showed us the features from our phone and the remote control! Also, by controlling the thermostat from our phones while we’re away is a great feature and can save us a lot of money in Summer! After we installed the system they made sure we knew how to use it, and there are alot of customization options available to our liking. very pleased with our system and feel very safe in my home now! Purchased a home security system Jason and First Response Security & the system is not working and they delay fixing the issue until I pressure them and they insult me & my wife. (We have been paying our bill on time/​every time and are yet to have an effective security system going on 8 months so far.)
1. They told me to use «glass break» sensors because I have large dogs and a motion sensor would not work. However, the glass break sensor goes off every time the dogs bark, causing false alarms. The sensor has been replaced and pending a second replacement because they said it was «too sensitive». Now that a «less sensitive» glass break will be put in place, my wife and I feel our security and protection has also gone down. They have not talked about other options with us to fix the issue.
2. Front door lock that is tied into the automatic security system fails to arm they system 50% of the time. Again, they have attempted to fix this issue and put off repairing it again. In the mean time, we can not arm our home when we are out of town or in certain situations, leaving us vulnerable. It is to be noted that recent home invasions in the area are prompting swift action.
== MOST HORRIFYING POINT 3. They have personally insulted both myself and my wife by saying that we have lied on our service requests (the number of them) even though they are fully documented. As well as telling us that it is our fault. Jason has hung up on me multiple times and has called me many names and pressured me. My family does not feel safe having him or any of his worker in our home. This is very serious and very scary.
4. Never given «emergency access code». This alarm system is suppose to have a «safe» code that we can put in if someone follows us into the home and the alarm goes off. We can put in this «safe code» and it will shut the alarm off, but will notify the police that something is wrong. We never got this code and the «manager» of First Response Security told us that it was our fault that we didn’t get it or that we forgot it. Simply put, we never received it or proper training on the system.

My alarm system works great. I was burglarized on a Friday night. It was an awful experience I hope nobody has to go through. I called this company to see if they could come out Saturday. A young man came out Satarday afternoon. He showed me all the features of the system and how I should put a camera in front. Also he showed me how to control it with my phone. It was great.
My alarm experience was great after I purchased it as well. The 2 guys were clean a tidy. It only took about 4 hours. They were gone. And my new alarm works well.

beware! i was lied to and later insulted when i called him back when i found out mr. jason ran my credit report without verbal authorization. this guy seriously thinks his approach is kosher, not! far from it. please watch out, he is a liar saying that his system is the only one on the market that does what it does. he will insult you when you call him and try to asking anything that a normal customer would ask. he has zero customer care or service. he just wants to get your money and run out of your house with your $$$ and disappear. he is not worthy of my hard earned cash and people need to know that his rude approach is so wrong and needs to be exposed. you ask to speak with upper management and you get him and he says you have no where to turn and explain your frustration with this one man show fraud company. zero customer relations and his service is third party so go with anyone else and you have a alarm system without the dry and cold lying man. how does your wife sleep next to you. wow. word of advise listen to your customers we are always right. you will make it farther in life and happy customers means positive reviews not these.

To «Jason I’ve never been so forcefully pressured to purchase your product at 5pm on a Sunday and your crew was right around the corner I hope you two find a better employer than him. You guys were very nice! You get the star not him or his company. Your saying your the biggest security company in the U.S. But it took me 30min to even find your local web address and every number goes to you Jason even your 800 number goes to you! What is that about and why when I tell you «I DONT WANT YOUR SECURITY SYSTEM» you keep pressuring me more about it. To end this whole rant about my over pressured I need this system or my household will be sacrificed why would you hang up on me when I was telling you I didn’t want it and was still in the FTC laws for the 3 day cool down period on a protect myself from someone that is doing this only one Sunday out of the year when not a single as I know of top selling security systems go door to door on a Sunday

Very professional company and people. Jason was very thorough and explained in detail what makes this system different than the others out there. Joe the installer showed up on time, went over everything with me before drilling or mounting and didn’t leave any mess. I had a minor problem with a camera and they came out quickly and fixed it. The system is very advanced, user friendly and easy to use. My family feels more secure with system over our old ADT. I only wish I had known about First Response Security sooner.

A great experience so far, Jason came to my house and explained in depth every aspect of the service and the same day the system was installed. The installer demonstrated the features and even made sure I knew how to use the systems and app before leaving. The equipment is very high quality, looks nice and mobile app is convenient and easy to use. I do not have pets so I cannot comment on the motion detectors but I like that you can configure different sounds for different doors or silence the system if you are going in and out of the house often. I have never had and monitoring system before, but with the crime rate going up, this system provides a me piece of mind. I would not hesitate to recommend First Response Security to anyone who is thinking about home security and safety.
