Flamingo Go Pool

Horrible, we went there to see The Dan Band and the show was scheduled for 9, we left after 10:30 and the band had still not taken the stage. We will never go to a show at Flaming ever again, or try to see The Dan Band ever again. What a waste of our time.

A few reviews are surprising me because I went to the Flamingo Pool with my family and when I asked to speak to a manager Mari was the manager I spoke with. I was very upset and frustrated at the time due to no availability of chairs and I needed a place to sit my elderly father and my autistic son. Right away Mari offered me a cabana at no cost she was the only person that assisted me no questions asked. As a resident of New Jersey I visit Atlantic City from time to time have made friends that are employed at a few Casinos and I have been told on numerous occasions that Las Vegas has more strict regulations to adhere to more than Atlantic City. Nevada does have a gaming board and here’s a little info for your records: The Flamingo Go pool’s kitchen was shut down a couple of months ago due to failed health inspection maybe you should look at the health department’s website for Nevada and their gaming board to see what rules apply before anyone posts poor reviews on a manager that is clearly doing their job and following regulations, rules or how they were trained to do their JOB!!! From personal experience maybe instead of being a negative nasty human being looking for freebies or handouts, consider those who are not fortunate enough to go on a mini vacation or enjoy a poolside relaxing one with their families or friends. Also maybe just maybe someone had a BAD DAY don’t ever tell me that any of you folks never had a bad day and still went to work and was just EXCELLENT IN CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT PARTICULAR DAY! I know for a fact I’ve had bad days and I had days where I took it out on the wrong person and it was not their fault!!! Moral of this story is think twice before you ruin someone’s livelihood over a bad day versus an issue that maybe your tone of not what you said, but how it was said and body language affected the outcome of the situation.

I would give 0 stars if that was an option. My self and my family rented a day bed since there no chairs to sit on at the pool. While our cabana girl Jodi and the assistant manager Daniel were both caring and fantastic the Go Pool Manager Mari is something else. We were told by all the bartenders at the pool to purchase a souvenir cup for our drinks and we could refill them by purchasing pitchers (which would be cheaper). Little did we know, and probably were not told so they would get more money, that we could not bring them back the next day. We were spending quite a bit of money on the day bed so we asked to speak to the manager about it and their policy. This young girl in work out clothes comes up to our day bed with her arms crossed and a pissed off look on her face and asks us «What’s wrong?». We told her our issues and with absolutely no care she gives us the round about on their policy, and changes her story blaming the gaming admins, and then the health and safety of Nevada. I have worked in hospitality for years so I know a piss poor excuse when I hear one. Then without even asking what she could do to make it better she says sorry and walks off. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I have no idea who trained this girl or where she even thinks it is ok to talk to customers like that but none of us were happy. She could not care less about us, and for anyone that works in this industry that is no way to act as manager! Now we are pissed and I go back to talk to someone else who may actually care. The assistant manger came over and talked with us, and then 15 min later that same terrible manager comes back and yells at me because she thought the issue was solved. I explained to her that in a situation like this you should be offering the customer some type of compensation to fix the situation not just throw out a sorry and storm off. She begins yelling «Ok you want free stuff, what do you want to make you happy?» Dear whoever is the boss of Mari, we will never be returning to this pool or hotel as long as she is in charge. I have never, NEVER, been spoken to with such disrespect and if I ever spoke to any of the customers the way Mari spoke to me and my family I would be fired. When the problem was brought up to her she should have said «I apologize about this, is there anything I could do to make the day more enjoyable for you?» The assistant manager Daniel is the one who should be running the show, he came and talked to us after the poor display of management by Mari and apologized and made sure we were happy. I will never be returning, I will tell everyone I know to not attend this pool. It’s an absolute disgrace. Thank goodness for the kindness of Jodi and Daniel for making our day better.

Wow! $ 42 for a bucket of 6 beers (Miller Lite or Coors Lite). Two ladies next to us said their margaritas were $ 25 a piece. And don’t even try to bring a bottle of water in. Ridiculous. And Why are all these single adults at the family pool? They have access to the larger pool. Yet people with families can’t find two chaise loungers together. And don’t get me started on the smokers.

I love the music and the vibe! There was even corn hole! Everyone is in their 20s-​30s and everyone was friendly… I would so give this place 4 or 5 stars buuuuuuut, it smelled SO BAD! If u stepped foot into that pool u smelled just like everyone else too. It was like a mix of suntan lotion, bad B. O, stinky feet and sweat! So gross!!!

Last time I stayed at the Flamingo was 7 years ago when the now Go Pool was the main hotel pool and the now hotel pool was the topless pool.
Just stayed there last weekend and decided to go down to the pool. When we realized that the hotel pool was the small boring pool, we decided to go down to the Go Pool.
Their website says it is $ 10 entry for hotel guests but we weren’t charged anything (it was a Sunday so that might have been why).
There are not that many free beds around the pool so they fill up quickly. There are a lot of daybeds and cabanas that can be rented for a fee. We decided to get a daybed. They run at a $ 100 – 150 fee plus a required $ 50 food and beverage minimum. To be honest, I prefer the places where the daybeds/​cabanas are a straight f&b minimum without a fee, which is what most of the day clubs do, so flamingo will have to get on board with that soon if they want to compete.
The daybed was worth it to have our own comfortable space right next to the pool. Disappointingly they have removed all of the safes from the daybeds so you don’t have a place to lock your belongings, just a drawer to put things in. Not a big deal if you stay close to the bed in the pool.
Drinks are priced in line with other places and have good choices. Food is good. On Sunday morning they had already run out of souvenir cups and wouldn’t let us bring our cups from the LINQ just so we had something that wouldn’t spill if it was knocked over. Since they are affiliated hotels and we would still be paying for our drinks and they had no cups to offer, not sure why it would be an issue.
The DJ was great and we all had a good time. Definitely not a bad place to go for a tamer dayclub than Marquee or EBC. Less of a crowd so nicer in my opinion. And definitely more affordable.

One of the best Pool Parties around. Reading these comments just make me laugh, people seriously complain about anything. Look, if you want top notch, then go to the beach club or MGM, quit crying and enjoy this free-​$ 15 similar quality pool party.
Heard they were charging $ 10 for entry (even if you were a guest staying at the hotel), was not charged once, then, they said they charged $ 10 on Saturdays if they have a special guests, still was not charged on Saturday. Free.
DJ played great music throughout the day, people complain about not getting a lounge chair, whatever, plenty of spots to put your stuff down, rather be in the water when it’s 110 out. But again, people complain about everything. I am part of the second wave, meaning, our group arrived around 1−130p, didn’t wait long until the first wave of people began to leave, if you keep your eyes open you can spot someone leaving and snag up their lounge chair.
Drinks are $$, but you should expect that when you are in Vegas, but if you’re smart, you’ll pregame hard in your room so that you wont have to buy tons of alcohol at the pool, remember, nothing is cheap, food however is reasonable. Their loaded nacho is only $ 11; it will fill up a group of people. Plenty of spots to get drinks, Friday and Saturday they host their booty shaking contest, which is entertaining! Towels provided to all guest.
Pool is clean, music is loud and the scenery is great
Yes it gets packed, yes seats fill up fast, and yes drinks are pricey, but, it is Vegas, so either don’t come, or prepare yourself for some fun!

Fun pool but get there early. We went on a Wednesday morning about 8:30 and there was already a line. The pools at the time of our visit were open 9 – 6. There is plenty of seating but they fill up fast so getting in sooner than later is a good idea. There are 2 – 3 places to get drinks and food as you cannot take any in with you. We didn’t get anything other than water but what we saw go by looked like it would be good. We were told by the hotel that there was a hot tub and we couldn’t find one at all so that was a small disappointment.

Cool place to hang out. Nice that they have an adults only pool. Gets crowded. Hard to get drinks. Lots of cool people to talk to. Luckily, I found Sarah, Evelyn, and Kimber to bring me drinks. Didn’t need to leave the pool. Open til 8pm weekends and 6pm during week. Sun is good til about 5pm and after that you’re covered by buildings. Cabanas were $ 400 on weekends and $ 200 weekdays. My friends and I received conflicting prices so it’s best to check around. Go out and have fun. Just don’t pass out and bring sunblock.

–line begins to form at 7:30am! The pool doesn’t open till 9:00am but get there early. We arrived at 9:00am and waited in a loooong line. TIP– get in line for the kid’s pool and you can sneak down to the Go Pool. It saved us several minutes waiting. The kid’s pool line is located on the white bridge pathway above the Go Pool line.

Although the pool at the Flamingo doesn’t appear to be all that exciting at first glance, it’s really the atmosphere that gives it five stars. The main pool is now only 21+, as the kids have been designated the far pool with a slide. This makes the main pool significantly more fun and allows for scandalous drinking games, etc. There are two bars on opposite sides of the pool area, both offering outrageously priced drinks at about $ 16. However, it is Vegas so those prices are pretty standard. The line to get into the pool area can be long on weekends but they give out wristbands in front of Carlos and Charlie’s inside the hotel the night before so you won’t have to wait. Give this pool a shot before spending more money on hotels with larger pool complexes. You may be pleasantly surprised with the quality here.

I’ve been to Vegas plenty of times… never had a pool experience like this place. Thankfully, if you are staying at the Flamingo, you have the option of going to the Family pool if this place is full… I mean as in chairs, because everyone wants a chair by the pool. There is PLENTY of space on the ground, and plenty of day beds to rent for $ 100 day plus $ 50 minimum in beverages but a definite shortage of chairs. They open at 9am so any day of the week, make sure you’re in line before then because I walked up at 9:15 on a Wednesday to find a LONG line and no chairs in there. You can walk around to the family pool which has plenty of seats, and well… kids.
Nice money making deal they have for us, you know since we aren’t spending enough in Vegas as it is already.

What an absolute disappointment for families with young kids and teenagers. Do not come to the Flamingo. Management has turned the once fun «family» free form pool in to a club pool over 21. So if you book a room, thinking you can enjoy with your family what was once a fun family pool, think twice. Even the security guards were disgusted. Families with kids now are in the small, congested tiny pool above on upper level. It is a joke. A true club pool is Beach Club at Encore. Luckily we were only one night at Flamingo and enjoyed the heavenly oasis and paradise of a pool at The Wynn. Now that’s a pool! A major disappointment for us at Flamingo.

We have been coming to Vegas for many years and this is our 7^th time staying at the flamingo but it is our first time in the pool, I must say I expected the pool to be much larger. its rather small and crowded but great surroundings and atmosphere. Drinks are bomb (strong n delicious) this pool is always filled with adults from what I heard n seen. The Mandalay bay pool and MGM pool properties are much better and family orientated ! But since we love the flamingo we will always come back ;)

Always busy. You have to get lucky to find a place to sit. During my second visit, they opened up a side entrance to another pool and it was very difficult getting to the seats. Find a seat, and you’ll be fine, if not… you’ll be looking elsewhere for your pool/​sundeck needs.

Decent for a standard hotel pool but unless you’re a hotel guest & you get in for free there’s no reason to come here. The flamingo pool is pretty much a pretend day pool/​club with a $ 25 cover charge for non hotel guest. It’s nice of the flamingo to finally make half of the pool 21 & older for people that want to party around the pool with out children running around but you guys are 8 years behind the curve. Despite that water being freezing cold (which I guess could be a good thing if you’re worried about swimming in someone’s piss you’d notice a warm spot ASAP.) the set up of the pool is ok, but defiantly not worth paying to get in.

This is a very nice pool but the management isn’t the best. They have a few rules that are designed to generate as much money at possible regardless of inconvenience to the guest. They do not allow outside food or beverage to include unopened bottle water. I understand why they do this and other pools do the same thing. The difference is all of the other pools I go to in Las Vegas have water stations readily available. The Flamingo Go Pool does not. They will give you water at the bar if you go up and ask for it. The bar tender told me this was by design to get you in the bar area in the hope you would make an impulse buy.
The pool was very busy the day I came because E Entertainment was taping a reality show later in the afternoon. The lifeguards were all very professional and were very focused on keeping everyone safe. The pool water was a little cold but not too bad. This is a nice pool overall. I wish they would setup a water station or two like most of the other Las Vegas resorts.
The DJ was great and the music was loud but not insane. It is important to get in line before the opening time if you want a chair.

This is the best free pool on the Vegas strip! The pool is free for hotel guests and charges about $ 15 for non-​hotel guests. Drinks are reasonably priced at $ 35 for a bucket of beer (free beer Fridays includes an extra beer for free) and $ 16 for a specialty cocktail… which the bartenders make very well and strong! Get a pink cup and bring it back for refills. It’s cheaper though to just order the specialty drink in a cup and pour it in your cup yourself.
The atmosphere is very chill including the people. There is a grotto area and even a few areas of shade around the pool. The palm trees give it a tropical feel. They usually have a DJ and on weekends there are contests if you choose to participate, winner usually gets a $ 50 bar tab.
Chairs are often hard to come by so I’d suggest get there early to snag your spot. We’ve been here several times and have never had an issue with leaving our stuff. We continue to visit Vegas at least on a yearly basis and this pool is one the reasons we stay at the Flamingo!

Not a party pool just a relaxing adult pool. Good music. Bonus: no kids! No charge for women not sure about men. Pool at Harrahs is under construction (not that you want to use it anyway) so you’re allowed to use other pools on the Caesars Entertainment properties. Looking forward to it being a European style pool, but being as it’s very visible where it’s located, they mandated tops on several years back.

If you haven’t visited the Flamingo GO Pool then you have basically never experienced life.
Wait, how can I word that more appropriately so that it does not sound like I am exaggerating? How about: I can’t remember the last time I had as much fun as I had at the Flamingo GO Pool, it is literally the best place ever. It will put all of your previous vacations to shame, you’ll probably die when you realize what a terrible time you had on your honeymoon in comparison to the GO Pool. It’s that great.

After deciding on a staycation we chose the Flamingo because I wanted to see the birds and (like all girls) I like all the pink things. We stayed the night in the casino, walked around on the strip and did other lame Vegas things. The room was also amazing, BTW, and the guy at the counter gave us a small upgrade and was totally awesome at not being a customer service failure.
In the morning we went to the pool intending to stay just an hour or two. Yeah right, impossible. Once we were nice and drunk we realized we had to work the next day and headed home. Luckily, chlorine washes away the smell of bad decisions.
We were in the grown up pool and not the kids pool, because we like our pool to be slightly less than 85% pee. If you like Vegas-​y things then you’re in luck because you can shop, gamble, eat, dance and DRINK all in the Flamingo pool for grown ups. So why wouldn’t you?
And yes, it is crowded. So get there and start day drinking at 8am! That’s what I say. Where in Vegas is it not crowded? You know, you’re right, I’m sure the nightclubs are much less crowded. More room in the pool for people who don’t hate fun.
Next time I am going to bypass Vegas and hit the Flamingo GO Pool and I’m not even being funny right now I am dead serious. Heads up, security will probably have to escort me out from now on until I get banned for life. Even then, I would put up a Facebook fan page and tweet them like every day asking for permission to return because this place is AMAZE.
The kids pool looked nice, too. If you’re into that sort of thing.
