Fox Rent A Car Las Vegas

Very far away from the airport car rental building. We ordered a 7-​passenger large SUV they had a Toyota 4Runner and a Dodge Journey. The 4Runner was missing one of its rear seats had beer caps and garbage inside. The Dodge Journey rear liftgate that would not work. The only thing that would fit us was a dirty Dodge Caravan with 58k miles with the rear storage area carpeting ripped up also one of the seat belts was ripped. The next day they called to ask what car we took and if it was a white Trans Am. Upon return no one could tell me what to do they just said go inside where somebody asked if someone checked in my vehicle I said no they sent me inside so I went back outside into the hundred and ten degree Heat and waited for someone to look over my vehicle. Then I waited in line to get a receipt. Just my own opinion the discount is not worth the trouble I will pay a little more to have a good quality company and vehicles.

This place would have gotten 5 stars if it weren’t for the smarmy sales pitches of the customer service rep. I rented my car from Expedia and FOX gave the best price.
They reel you in with the lowest price then they berate you with sales pitches on insurance.
I pay extra a year for insurance on rentals, why would I want their extra insurance? The insurance cost more than the actual rental of the car!
I must have said no a dozen times. This guy kept going. Meanwhile, the lines getting longer and longer. I said,” is this why the line’s going so slow? You’re busy with your endless sales pitch?“
Why are these people so persistent? Is there a quota he’s got to meet? Does he win a trip to Aruba if he gets enough people to agree to the insurance?
The guy even asked me what hotel I was staying at.
Kinda made me think they’d drive to my hotel to KEY MY CAR/​DAMAGE MY CAR. Just because I refused their sales pitches.

The prices are cheaper. But it’s because it’s not located at the airport. And they don’t provide a shuttle to the airport.
You take an airport shuttle to the rental car center. And transfer to another Fox shuttle. Which adds 25 minutes to both pickup and drop-​off

Every review always starts with 5 and then lose stars as they screw up or something is not correct. So my review is better than others but still not perfect. First issue is the two bus transfer and the fox bus is hot as f***. The AC does not work and there are heat warnings. I guess you need to save money somewhere. The checkin was smooth but that is where they lost there second star. While attentive and quick they did not know if I could change my reservation, forgot to give me back my dl and then had to wait on hold 34 min to be told the only way to make sure that had it was to drive over. The last and final star is for the car. Do you remember rent a wreck well this is close. The car works but the exterior looks like bumper cars.

It seems that car rental services always get bad reviews for whatever reasons. I, myself was lucky to rent a white Camry 2016 (practically new with 1300 mileage only) as requested. Getting to the car rental place took two shuttles from the airport which was free. The line to check in a car was pretty fast… 5 – 10 minute wait at most. The lady at the counter was very kind and helpful.
Originally booking the car rental stated $ 250 for 3 days after tax but that soon changed to $ 400 with basic insurance and under 25 age fee. A little pricy for car rentals for Vegas but we needed it to drive to Arizona. They also put a $ 150 deposit on hold until you check out the car.
The car was smooth and easy to drive because I personal own a Camry too so that worked out well. Grateful for the Air conditioner in the scorching heat. Checking the car out was a breeze as well. Took 5 – 10 mins max as well.
Although it seems like this place is awful in terms of experience, I was fortunate in having a pretty good experience.

The rates are great, sure! But for the customer service that you have to deal with its not even worth it to save a penny!
Got a car from here for my honeymoon and we were asked by the associate if we wanted to return the vehicle to the AIRPORT. We said yes that would be easier, apparently the «airport» to them is their actual location. We ended up missing our flight by arriving 15 minutes prior to departure [10:25], flight left at 1040pm. Luckily jetblue put us on their next flight leaving at 1145. & Because of this back and forth looking for the FOX rental station that doesn’t exist.
We had the tank between ¾ and full, and thats exactly how we left it when it was dropped off. Also, the previous person who rented left the paperwork in the car, I realized they did not mark off the bumps on the vehicle the same on my paperwork as the previous. So is this their way of making money by possibly stating someone caused damage to their car??? It also reaked of cigarettes.
TO JUST MAKE MATTERS WORSE — it does take their 10 – 14 days for a refund. Its been past the 14 days for me now and when I called the lady told me its only $ 18 refund, like i’m an idiot calling for it. I’m LIKE WHAT??? She said because we returned the vehicle late @ 12:22 AM and with an EMPTY tank of gas.
Really? I was on a plane and my soul apparently stayed in Vegas returned the vehicle late.
I sent over the information proving theyre WRONG, I HOPE THEY CAN CLEAR THIS OUT AND IF THEY CANT I WILL DISUPUTE WITH THE BANK. Playing with peoples money is no joke. Hope your business improves one day.
If your hispanic and you’ve heard the saying «Lo Barato Sale Caro» this is the perfect explanation of this place.

We rented a «Charger or similar» for our Vegas trip last week. You take two shuttles from the airport to get to the car rental place and we had no issues. Once there, for a discounted rate we were offered an upgrade to a convertible and we accepted. We got to rent a brand new 2016 red Ford Mustang and we absolutely loved it. For the price for Memorial Day weekend we really felt we got a good deal. We got our deposit back within 2 days of coming home and we would use them again. The customer service was great and the car was in great condition. So glad we were offered an upgrade for a super discounted price. there was nothing quite like riding down the strip in a convertible. It was a great experience all around.

Two bus rides and a huge wait… Don’t use this car rental. I left the airport 1 hr ago and still huge line. Pathetic. They don’t have a clue.
Still a big line. Its going to be close to 1hr and 45 mins from catching car rental bus to leaving this place with a car. They have a big line, four people serving, then two servers left. Now only two people serving. This company is abusive to the customers. DO NOT COME HERE. Period. I have travelled for years never seen anything like it.

This place is horrible and highly unethical.
They purposely have only one or 2 people working the counters to keep the line long. An hour long, exactly, they time it to make sure. They keep the line this long so that by the time people get to the front, they just take whatever they get.
The company policy is to bait and switch. Most customers don’t get the vehicle they reserved. If you try to use a debit card, they will bump you down a couple vehicle levels with no change in price. If you use your credit card they will either refuse the card altogether, or use a «canned» response to lower your vehicle level. The final vehicle and price you get are same as you would at Avis without the wait.
Additionally, The staff is rude and unprofessional. The company policy is for the staff to be as difficult as possible to reduce resistance from customers.

April 23 — after picking up our luggage, we boarded a shuttle to the remote parking facility and then joined a large group waiting for the Fox shuttle to arrive. We were told only 1 shuttle was currently operating so it took longer than usual. On arriving at the lot, we found a line of 20 – 25 people in the office and only 2 agents doing their utmost to up sell every customer.
It took a good 90 minutes before we were able to proceed to the lot with paperwork in hand only to discover several others were waiting for cars. 20 minutes later we drove off in a Toyota Corolla with 46,121 miles on the odometer.
May 2 — I filled the gas tank immediately prior to returning the car to the Fox lot. The attendant handed us a form indicating the tank was returned full and directed us to the kiosk for a receipt. There was one person in line, but there seemed to be a problem so we had to wait.
A second agent arrived who could not locate our contract online so after several frustrating minutes we were told to go to the office. Naturally there was a long line, but at least there were several agents. We went to customer service line where another person was in front of us, but there was no agent. Another agent noticed us waiting and left his post to assist us — thank you. He determined someone, presumably the agent in the kiosk, had closed our account and handed us a receipt.
With receipt in hand we walked to the shuttle pick-​up point and waited for it to arrive, but our nightmare continued because the shuttle driver had to take a restroom break before continuing on. This whole process probably took 30 – 45 minutes, but fortunately we, based on our earlier experience, had allotted extra time.

If you come between after 10am you will be in line for HOURS & HOURS!!! The employees are slow, they don’t care that the line is wrapped around the corner with customers & luggage who are hungry & tired.
My 1^st car was a convertible Camaro it was scratched and dirty, but we only paid 30 bucks a day for it. Upon return I complained abt the car to the manager who gave me a free day for my troubles on my 2^nd rental.
2^nd rental was a Toyota Avalon. It was just as dirty, but it didn’t have scratches or damages (or not as many I should say).
The cars are cheap. They’re ran down into the ground. But for 75% cheaper rates hell I’ll take it. Just allow plenty of time for their bs lines.

2 stars because the price from this center cannot beat the other rental places in Vegas.
But the process is horrendous. They’re not locating in the airport so there is a shuttle from the airport rental place to this location. Which they seem to have 1 – 2 shuttle running and they’re slow. Then once you get to the rental location, you wait in line for an hour or so to get serviced.
Overall, it was just so slow and not customer oriented.

–100 stars. After waiting an hour plus in line while the understaffed counter zombies took their time.
I made a comment standing in the endless line that they were understaffed. A and gal behind the counter, shouted out «there is one more counter person on break, they have to eat sometime», she’s a real gem of an employee.
Oh, and when we thought we were done with they’re insurance shtick, (had to tell them five times we don’t want insurance and that we’re fully covered) he hits us with the $ 10 a day fee he insisted we pay for each additional driver. We made the mistake of telling them there were two drivers and paid the $ 40 for four days just to escape the place.
When we left, there were even more people in line, the wait had to be a two hours plus, thank goodness we came in at 10:00 am.
What a rip off, buyer beware.
Pay a little extra and go elsewhere, it’s not worth it.

What this place gives you is maybe the best price and a decent car.
There is a double shuttle from the airport, airport to rental terminal, then rental terminal to Fox. Honestly it was smooth for me. Both shuttles were right there and total time was around 10 – 15 min.
This is where the good started coming off the rails. There was a significant line of people waiting for cars, but with 4 agents working you’d figure on a 15 minute wait… uh uh uh, not at Fox. These were the slowest rent a car people I’ve ever experienced. They took 15 minutes per customer, and every time the line started making progress one of them went for a break. That line took about an hour, there were people freaking out pretty good. I wasn’t in a hurry so I just took it all in.
After all that confusion I thought I was free and clear… wrongo again. The guy outside that assigns the car pointed to a Toyota Corolla which I walked towards then said, no, take this one… a Toyota Camry, yes please. Load my stuff in, tip him and head for exit. Exit was another 15 min cluster. The guy gets to me, scans the car, starts a walk around and tells me, sorry man you can’t take this car, back up and park here. Buddy saw I was starting to get pissed and said don’t worry, I’ll take care of you. 2 minutes later he’s got me out the gate in a white Mustang for the price of a corolla, so ya, I’m happy.
Return was a snap. Pull into the well signed return area, guy goes over car and gives you a receipt and you’re on your way in a couple minutes.
Overall I was happy with experience, but the whole cluster of over 90 minutes to get there, get car, and get out was unacceptable.

Did we make a mistake? Did you have to take the airport shuttle to the Rental Car Station then to Fox? We are at 1 hour so far. Now we are in the line in the picture
While waiting outside for my husband to get a car a man who just got a black Nissan brought out a note that stated the transmission was bad. .
A previous person had left it and it wasn’t cleaned out

Well it’s 3:42… Such an unfortunate experience.

I don’t know where to start so I’ll just list my experience in numerical format.
1. You will need to take two shuttles to the rental establishment. One from the airport to the central rental location and then another one to the Fox building (off-​site).
2. Long lines. I waited about an hour.
3. Customer Service phone line — waited a combination of approximately 45 minutes to speak to a representative (needed to extend my reservation for a week).
4. If you do extend your reservation, YOUR DEPOSIT will be utilized to cover the costs; not your credit card on file (after the rep asks you for permission to run your card). The representative on the phone failed to tell me this on the phone. I learned about this when I turned in my vehicle. My refund was no more than $ 14.00. **BEWARE**
I didn’t have a problem with this company UNTIL I had to extend my reservation AND then I was told that my deposit was used to cover the extension. I will need to check my credit card charges to ensure I didn’t incur twice the amount. Had I known this, I would have returned the car and then rented through another company.
Spend the extra $ 4-​$ 10/​day and take your business somewhere else. They’re cheap for a reason so please be careful. Lastly, give yourself about a 3-​hour head start in the case that you do run into problems. Definitely return your car between 2AM-​4AM as there was no line and the shuttle was readily available for transportation back to the central rental hub.

We don’t even have our vehicle yet and m not sure we’ll get one. I have a really bad feeling about this… SO FAR FROM AIRPORT, waited for shuttle and now waiting in this ridiculous line that is barely moving. Several people have come in saying they don’t have the car they just rented. NEVER AGAIN.

Worst car rental on earth. Shuttle never comes and when it does it totally ignores that your standing right there with a crowd of ppl.
Then when u call to say there no shuttle and there a line of ppl u can’t get a live person. So your still waiting half an hour later
Basically it got so frustrating we ended going to another car rental place and will use travel protection.
The worse is that I got to shuttle to the rent a car place from the airport then shuttle to another rental car place. Worse thing is shuttle never came

Never, ever, ever, ever would I rent from here again!!!
I did not realize this was «off-​off» site. Rental cars are already a pain in Vegas. You have to take a shuttle to get to a rental car center about 7 minutes away. What makes Fox even worse is you then have to take a 2^nd shuttle about 7 minutes away. I should have cancelled my reservation as soon as I realized this, but I figured by the time I got a new reservation somewhere I would have been at Fox.
Big mistake. Huge mistake. Worst mistake ever. We pull up to a dilapidated building in a sketchy part of town. There are about 5 people in front of me and the line is moving. Until I’m next in line. I’m not sure if someone died, or if they all decided to take a mental check out, but I stood there and stood there for way too long. One guy was just walking around high fiving his colleagues and I never did see him do any work in the 30+ minutes I stood in line. By the time I was helped there were more than 20 people waiting in line behind me.
I go to collect my car, and there is another line with people both picking up and returning. Then the tank was ⁷⁄₈ full and the woman checking me out tries to tell me they consider that full. I doubt they will say that if I return it that way. Argue with her, finally when I took a picture of the gas tank she changed the form.
I did not realize what I was renting from, and I will never do it again. It isn’t even any cheaper than the ones at the regular rental center. There were some extremely sketchy people renting from this place, yet another reason to avoid.
I would hitchhike, walk, über, taxi, or skip Vegas altogether to avoid renting from Fox again.

DON’T rent a car from Fox Rent A Car!
In Las Vegas, you’ll first take the bus from the airport to the Rental Car Center.
But since Fox isn’t there, you’ll wait another 20 minutes for a second shuttle to take you to the off, OFF airport Fox Car Rental.
Then, you’ll stand in line behind 12 – 15 people and wait 85 MINUTES to get your car.
From there, you’ll get a car that’s dirty with (as morning will show) coffee or soda dotting the roof, even garbage stuck under the hood near the windshield wipers.
The car, after if sits overnight, reveals stale cigarette smoke.
(Cough cough, hack, ugh)
If you’re like me, you’ll return it early and get a mysterious $ 20 LEVEC fee, code for «early drop off».
So you’ll spend 27 minutes on hold to talk with them about this creepy fee and get them to remove it.
I wish I had the 1 hour 32 minutes of my life stolen by Fox Rental Car back.
By the way, Fox gets 2 stars instead of 1 because two of its beleaguered staff– Rodolfo and Robert Benson– are fantastic.
PS Rodolfo and Robert, you need to leave, stat. Really. You’ll either become one of their dishonest and unmotivated employees or be tarnished by this company’s terrible reputation.

Fox Rent A Car is the AWESOME!!! Great rates, a courteous and professional staff that made my transportation needs easy and affordable. A special thanks to Dana with her charm and award winning personality, she is truly an asset to the company. Although busy, Dana gave enough personal attention to my needs making my experience at Fox the best ever. Also, I must make mention of Mike in the car pick-​up/​return went above and beyond to ensure satisfaction, Please give them both a raise, they work hard for their money. Will definitely return and recommend to others.

TWO SHUTTLE BUSSES FROM THE AIRPORT! Let me start by saying this will take a long time to get from the airport to pickup your car. You take the first airport shuttle where most other rental car companies are THEN you go wait in another line to wait for their shuttle to another location. Waited an additional 20 minutes for the second shuttle to show up. Then get on that Fox shuttle which was filthy and the driver was not friendly whatsoever. Got to the location and the counter person was very rude once I did not want to upgrade or purchase extra coverage. He told me ‘I hope you’re not going anywhere in this car or planning on driving anyone around’ Geez thanks I get I went low budget but wow it was low budget all the way around!!! Proceed to second line outside to get my car. (Only nice people I dealt with there!). Yep counter person was right… car was a piece of $h*^+t and filthy/​stained and scratched on all 4 sides! Needless to say I will not use this company again

I had to pop Las Vegas for a quick business trip. I booked online and found that Fox Rent A Car has unbelievably cheap rates.
Although they are outside of the Rent A Car center that the terminal bus brings you to, I will still be going to FOX because I had the good experience of meeting a girl named Dana who helped me pick up my car. She’s very sweet and one of those people you don’t meet much anymore. Very pleasant, big smile. Talkative and genuine.
Fox also has a smaller lot which is easy to get in and very easy to get out and get on the road.
Dana’s customer service skills are fantastic. Makes me wonder why this can’t happen everywhere when I travel. Great experience. Give Fox a try!

I would not ever rent from this place. They try to sell you things you don’t need and when you say no they instantly turn rude. Enrico the person who initially helped was horrible and rude and would not listen to what we were asking about. Well more rude than what they begin at. They give you no instruction and no help just say go outside to get your car. Then when I go and talk to an attendant outside they just point and say find one in that row by the white car. Well there were four rows with white cars and when I asked which row I got an attitude in return and a rude it’s that one right there. All the cars smelled horrible and were poorly detailed. No one at this place was helpful. I will definitely pay more to get a better car from a better place.

This is my second type using Fox. The first time was not so good, long lines and such. Fox has always offered the get price and this time there was no line and no waiting. I will continue to use this company when in Las Vegas. I am unsure where else the have locations.

Located on Lv Blvd & Wigwam, I’ve been using this company for 8 yrs without a problem. I’m a local & i live one street light away. I usually get rides there or just park my car for 3 days at the bar across the street. Located next to a gas station, it makes refueling easier. With a local ID, you can have the shuttle fees waived off.
The pick up & drop off lines are extremely reasonable. I loved Walter but he moved. They recently upgraded me for free when they ran out of economy cars. I also resolved a costly administrative/​reservation error on my part extremely easy with a face to face agent encounter.
Their cars have always been extremely reliable & I’ve never had any mechanical problems. I’m assuming the negative reviews come from people who book through secondary websites. Just book directly with them.
If you are smart enough to look up their Physical address instead of driving to the airport like a retard, then you have a great experience from scratch to finish. Adiós Mofos! We out like Donald Trump in Iowa!

If you are on a budget and don’t mind dealing with some workers who look like they want to walk into oncoming traffic, then this place is for you! The black female that helped us out was very pushy for upgrades and extras but my woman put an end to that real quick. We got a straight budget vehicle but it was perfect and great on gas. I was worried about the minor scratches and dents that the vehicle had so I marked up the sheet they give you prior to leaving the facility. We returned the vehicle with ease. The person that checked our vehicle back in looked like an ex crackhead/​transient but he was great. He just marked the vehicle return sheet as good and we were done. We had no hidden costs because we denied all the upgrades. I would def rent from them again.

We have rented from Fox over the past few years and have always had a pleasant experience. We are locals so it isn’t a hassle to get here. We always schedule our pickup time early in the morning and there is never a line. The employee behind the desk, Joseph, remembered us from past visits. He is friendly and efficient. And returning the car has been a quick and easy process as well. Their prices are great. We have rented everything from a compact to a mid-​size sedan and we don’t feel ripped off at all. For my past visit, I rented a Toyota Yaris for 3 days and added on insurance for a grand total of $ 130. Other rental places were charging almost twice that price. Would I use them again for future trips? Absolutely!

Go cheap, and get what you pay for.
Girl at the desk at pickup was VERY pushy and made me feel like a moron for wanting what I wanted and asked for, and not getting more. It’s called an upsell and she was very bad at it. She told me that unless I upgraded we would get a crappy little car with manual windows, etc. Hey lady, there are no cars like that on your lot.
The guys outside had no clue what they were doing. They pointed us to one car and forgot, then gave us another. We marked down every little ding and chip and blemish on the car before taking off. This place seemed shady and we weren’t taking any chances.
The shuttle was late but we usually anticipate waiting for shuttles. Both shuttle drivers, from and to the airport were great. Remember, this place is not on sight so you take two shuttles. One to the rental car headquarters from the airport, and then from there to Fox.
The car itself was OK. Again, you get what you pay for.
When we came back to drop off the car the inspection guy barely looked at the car. But still, mark down any problems before you leave with the car. It feels like they probably make a lot of their profit from overcharging people at the back-​end. Because they looked shady, we took no chances.

I picked up the car on Saturday afternoon of MLK weekend, there was no line. The car was clean and in good condition. The return only took 5 minutes. The price, with the basic insurance, was reasonable. You do need to take an additional 5 minute shuttle but it comes every 10 minutes. Overall, they did their job and offered a good 4×4 vehicle at a decent price with insurance. It may not be the most convenient location but if you have the time, it’s well worth it.

I don’t understand all the negative reviews about Fox. Look … you get what you pay for. With Fox, you are going to get the absolute best price on a rental car. Is it going to be the best car? No. Will your car have high mileage and probably a few dings/​dents? Most likely. Are you going to have to wait a little while longer standing in line to pick up your car? Probably.
But we paid $ 269 to rent a mid-​sized car in San Diego and drop it in Vegas … two weeks later. All the other major rental car companies wanted to charge 3−4x that amount.

I literally just picked up a car here a few moments ago with family, so I will be updating this upon return for any more. memorable experiences.
Long story short: my mom booked and paid for a standard SUV online. Upon arriving to the Fox Rental Car location, my mom was «assisted» (a term I use lightly, but I suppose you can be assisted in getting ripped off) by Dorian. He attempted to sell my mom the insurance package numerous times, not accepting «No» for an answer. My mom pointed out that the credit card it was booked on covers rental car insurance, which I know for a fact because I’ve done that multiple times myself. He straight up said, «No, you NEED this.»
Little did he know that my mom is more stubborn than an ox, and his attempts were as futile as trying to cut diamond by brushing it with a feather. What did he do? He tried to give my mom a regular standard sedan, not an SUV, for the same price as the SUV. lulz, wut. He followed up with, «if you need an upgrade, come back and see me.» Dafuq?
I kept my distance from the situation initially because I personally hate dealing with my parents, but what I hate more is someone thinking they can rip them off. I came back and inquired and only then did we get the correct vehicle.
NOT WORTH THE HASSLE. Not worth however much money you’re saving. This place is rated as low as it is for a reason, and I haven’t even seen the other reviews. If my parents knew how to use Unilocal,we could have saved this headache.

Car was a bit beaten up BUT
the price for 3 days with taxes and fees was less than 1 cab ride.

I use Fox once before and it wasn’t s good experience then either. I thought that maybe I’d give them another try. While they were the low price leader, the 1 hour process to get the car was just a joke. They had a long line for the check it to get the contract but after that you went to another long line with no control. It was basically a free for all. Who ever was the most annoying, got a car.
The people running the show were working hard. My hat is off to them. They just seemed understaffed and unorganized. I have not returned the car yet but I plan on giving myself lots of time so I don’t miss my flight out of here.

I checked in on the 17^th, checked out on the 19^th. GREAT SERVICE FROM ALL EMPLOYEES THAT I HAD INTERACTION WITH: shuttle drivers were assiting with luggage & friendly, counter service was efficient, car was clean. Upon return, my daughter left her CELL PHONE in the car. The employee who checked in our car not only found the cell phone, but RAN TO THE SHUTTLE THAT WE WERE ON (he was out of breath) to return it to her!
I don’t understand the low ratings for this company. I have used them at LAX 3 times & now in LV and had great experiences all around… and THE PRICE CAN’T BE BEAT!

Not worth the savings. While the people who work there were nice and the shuttle picked us up as expected, we were not happy with the process of getting the actual car.
We found Fox from the Southwest Airlines website and expected this to be a decent option, however, it is not. We chose them because the price to rent an Expedition was much lower than the other big chains. We paid in advance. Once we got to the counter to pickup the car, nothing was mentioned about not having an Expedition and finding a suitable alternative… instead, they said thank you and sent us to the lot. Once in the lot, we were told they didn’t have an Expedition and didn’t know when they’d have one but that we could come back anytime to see if one was available. Hmmm, no.
So, now we are to pick «anything on the lot is yours.» And, the lot was really only 15% full. Seriously? Really? So, we took one of the leftover minvans that would fit our whole group. It’s fine but doesn’t have any of the basics you expect today from a rental car — USB chargers, blue tooth capabilities, etc. And, it hadn’t been vaccumed.
To top it off, we had to wait to get someone to let us off the lot. They didn’t have a gate person. Sigh… So, the manager who seemed to be doing everything came running over after a 5 minute wait, to let us out.
Never again, not worth the money we saved. Hopefully the return process goes a bit smoother than the check-​in.

We live locally in Las Vegas and wanted to rent a car for two days. Fox Car Rental is pretty much one of the cheapest, so you get what you pay for and all that.
We live locally, so we didn’t have the pleasure of taking the 10 minute shuttle ride from the airport, but the address is kinda easy to find and not far from The Strip, bonus!
When we walked in, there was a queue of 8 people, this took 40 minutes, so that’s 5 minutes per person with 3 reps working. One rep handling a customer in 15 minutes! That’s an average too!
When it was out turn, we had already paid online, so no problems there. The guy helping us had computer problems, he said he’s been having them all day. He also didn’t have a pen when asking for our confirmation number. He wrote it down in a yellow highlighter lol :) we got asked to move to another desk to complete our booking where the computer apparently does work! I guess it took him all day to work out the problem to his computer troubles…
So at the other desk, he opens a Habanero Cheese Stick and starts munching on it! Mid-​bite, he asks for our telephone number and tried to upgrade our car. After he was done playing with the telephone for 3 minutes; juggling his habanero cheese stick, he offered us a local discount (I guess he had a lot of complaints today?).
I was very amused with the whole situation, albeit the queue being very annoying… Having come here after a long haul flights, I don’t think my attitude would have been the same. A lot of people were angry, and rightly so.
I do think Fox Car Rentals shows a very poor façade for customer service in America. I say this as many international travellers experience this habanero cheese eating spectacle as their first customer service encounter when landing in the US.
I give this business 2 out of 5 just for offering a default discount (without us even asking!). although, this is never a solution to poor customer service. This location really deserves a 1. With 25 years of apparent experience in the field, they have little to show for it!

Southwest Airlines should DROP this from their car rental list.

I feel so bad for the employees of this place that is SO understaffed!!!
After taking the second shuttle from the airport in Las Vegas and waiting now some 30 plus mins to arrive at Fox HQ — we arrive to a line with over 50 people in it! There are only four people working the pick up counter on a busy Saturday afternoon. NUTS!
We cancelled our online reservation with Southwest and took the shuttle back to the Car Rental off airport location. While on the shuttle I booked with Advantage. WE arrive at car rental place and Advantage is equally unequipped to provide service to customers. After waiting in line for 20 mins, I cancelled my second reservation and for just $ 10 more went with Firefly right next door.
So Fox was going to charge me $ 125, Advantage same day $ 85, Firefly $ 95 on the spot availablity for a little car.

A return clerk who was a little less bossy could go a long way towards achieving a better rental experience. Know what I’m saying?
We dropped off our one-​way rental here and had no idea what to expect. When they say «off airport», they don’t mean that it’s off the airport at the rental car center. No, not that. This is actually even more off than that. You’ll take one bus from Fox to the rental center and then ANOTHER bus from the rental center to the airport. Yep, that’s a pain in the ass when you have full size suitcases to maneuver. Ugh.
And in at least a hundred different times I’ve returned a rental car, I can’t remember anyone actually popping the hood and checking under there. Did I maybe steal the battery? WTH? But other than that, no hassle at all.
