Gene Woods Racing Experience

Had an awesome time at Gene Woods Racing Experience! Came in with my car club (party of 9) and did the groupon (2 races per person= $ 27). The staff were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. Not only did we do the regular 8 min race, our second race had a driver elimination challenge, that added more excitement and got our adrenaline going even more! The track is a good size with lots of turns and hair pins that will keep everyone on their A game. Also if you think you’re good at racing or just want an extra challenge, on Monday nights you can race for cash! $ 40 buy in but worth it if you got what it takes ;)
Highly recommend this place for your (Go Karting) need for speed. We’ll definitely be back!

Just spent the afternoon with our team. Great environment for our meeting and amazing karting setup. Track is large and perfect sized, banked with elevation changes. The configuration has all the element of a great track. The driver elimination round added an element of additional excitement. We had a blast. We will definitely be returning for more fun times. By the way, the crew that runs this track are cool as can be, very friendly and accommodating.

Love the place, been to several go cart tracks around the world and this place by far is my favorite and I think the staff are right on key, especially there was a guy by the name Dave who was particularly nice and made my experience fun and exciting!!! I will be going back again !

Man this place is the bomb! Professionals from start to finish! Ryan was incredible and my son got 1^st place for fastest 10 yr old in the country!!! Say what??! Say what?

The staff is not friendly at all. Also, when I started winning a race against staff who apparently race for free when they clock out, their buddies/​co-​workers disabled my car so it was super slow! The worst part about it was I paid, while they were racing for free. Groupon price or not, I felt like I got ripped off.

This is a well done go kart track. I had a lot of fun. I was with a group and we went through two 10 minute races. the cars feel quick, the track is all curves, it’s very easy to drift, (and if you’re competitive) a surprisingly intense experience. very fun and exciting.
the staff were patient and professional, there’s a well done safety video, and it’s probably a good idea. there’s a height requirement to keep little kids out of the cars, which I think is a plus. It feels like a real race, definitely not a kiddie track. you will not be bored.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! We come here all of the time. The track and karts are awesome and most importantly the staff is awesome!!!

I took my Nephew and Son here, 17 & 18 years old. They had a fantastic time. The staff made it such fun and really got them into the racing spirit. Dave was very social, knowledgeable and welcoming. The value for money is great and the quality of the track and cars is good. Great fun, we will be back. Thanks

Gotta say, Dave at Gene Woods knows how to put on a great corporate event. I arranged for 30 of us to battle it out on the track. The karts are fast, the facility is clean, his workers are engaged and responsive and the outdoor setting is fantastic. Definitely a great vibe and change from the indoor tracks and the bang for the buck is way better over here too! Our group loved it and we plan to be back to settle the smack talk this has started!

We had so much fun we’re going again tomorrow. The track is awesome and the runs are long. It was fun racing each other. The place is clean. Staff was mediocre. I’m sure we will continue to go back. Hopefully the staff will get some good customer service training then it will be perfect. Highly recommended.

I went to Gene Woods Racing Experience while in Vegas to get my racing «fix». I had an awesome time. The track was superb, and the people there were even better.
You have to stop by, just don’t get upset when a young kids makes you look like you don’t know how to drive by lapping you.

Came to treat the kiddos for a good time. The location wasn’t spectacular. An empty, great space that could be used as a regular business function which includes a full size basketball court, rock climbing wall, a martial arts room, batting cages and i believe they also have an RC track. Definitely a wasted space that could be/​should be utilized.
Nonetheless… on with the review.
There was a Groupon deal when I searched, which gives you a 2 for 1 ride versus their standard rate. Don’t be discouraged by the staff, they are certainly don’t excel in the customer service department and are rude to customers who particularly probably aren’t aware of what needs to happen before stepping into to the pit. Literally, you pay and they tell you to go to the tent and press the play button — then you kind of have to direct yourself.
Our first race went great until about the last 2 – 3 laps where my car wasn’t going as fast as it did initially. I attributed it to low gas, so I didn’t think much of it. — we waited a couple of turns to get on with our second race. My car in particular, I felt was controlled to go slower. I KNOW THEY HAVE THAT FUNCTION. It just really impeded the fun factor. I literally had my hands in the air — gesturing WTF. I didn’t pay $$ to simply have someone whizz by me in an apparent indication that their car was simply going faster than mine! and this is on a straight away and no difference in momentum. I was so highly irritated, that I was going to say something until we had our own personal issue of one of the kids in my group lost their cell phone. The guys offered to haphazardly scooter around the track and did not find hint of the phone (told us in the most discouraging manner), but when we looked — we ended up finding the cell phone untouched. I’m just glad we were able to find the phone.
Service was below par. I wouldn’t think to spend another over $ 100 trip for my kiddos here. I’ll take it elsewhere.
Tip — Wear CLOSED TOE shoes otherwise expect to pay $ 2 to rent shoes with socks you can keep.

If you love riding go karts, this is the place! If you’re tired of basic track setups, go down to Gene Woods racing, it is truly an experience!

I got the Groupon deal, it is worth it! Regular price is $ 25 for one race and $ 20 for a second race. The Groupon deal is $ 27 for one person for two races.
After my friends showed up we put on the helmet. If you didn’t wear closed toe shoes and socks you can rent for $ 2 and keep the socks. Two others joined us.
The cars goes pretty fast. The attendants were very helpful and fun.

Bought a living social deal for me and my husband for our date night. The race was so much fun! But it made our visit unpleasant because the staff were a joke! Seriously, customer service is so important and these guys were just plain rude to customers. It’s summer so you can expect it to be a little busy. There were two kids that forgot to step on the brake while getting ready, two of the staff yelled «Hey Hey hey! Step on the brake» at those poor boys which was pretty embarrassing especially because they went with their other friends.
They’re not very organized either, after watching the video, we just stood around waiting for someone to tell us what to do next. Helmets are first come first serve, when you wear a small/​medium and they run out, then you’re out of luck.
Other thing is gopro. I brought my gopro and it was attached to my wrist but one of the staff said I can’t bring it. So he took it and just placed it on the dirty floor where people can step on it. No bueno!
Go here to race but customer service is not good (at least when it’s busy)

Only worth it if you can get a Groupon deal. I think we paid $ 40 for two people. Each person gets two rounds. Each round varies in time. Our first run took over 10 minutes. Our second run only lasted around 8. Not sure how they determine the amount of time on the track but it seems to vary…
Just 3 stars given because for the most part everything is very disorganized. We paid/​used our vouchers at the front desk and were told to head down the ramp. We assumed they put us in some sort of line and were waiting for them to call us. Took us 45 minutes to realize that we’re supposed to sign in at the bottom of the ramp with one of the attendants! The thing is, the attendants are running the track so there’s no one down there to direct you to 1.) sign in, 2.) watch a safety video and 3.) get a helmet and neck brace. Felt like we wasted a long time because there is no one organizing a damn thing here!
Other than that, the go karts are pretty fun. The tires have practically no traction so you’re slippin and sliding around. There’s not much protection in the cock pit so I’d be careful…

What a great time we had here!
We took our kids (ages 12, 19 & 23) here for the youngest ones birthday. So much fun! We purchased the 2 Groupon specials, one racer-​2 races for $ 29 and two racers-​2 races each for $ 47 and we were here for about 3 hours. The kids all had a great time, the staff was very fun & friendly.
We are definitely coming back again often!

After the introductory video, you’re able to put on the racing sock, helmet, and join up to 14 other go-​kart racers on the curvy track.
You drive in «races» which are essentially sets of about 10 laps each. You may be driving with other groups of folks and theoretically, you’re not supposed to bump cars, but the staff is pretty liberal and good at making sure you can do whatever you can in the car while having a good time safely (i.e. prepare to bump or be bumped, and drift as much as you like!)
The cars themselves are pretty fast, especially for this outdoor track, where a lot of turns prevent much straight line acceleration. The service is pretty casual but good.
Regular price is $ 25 for one race and $ 20 for a second race. I recommend getting the Groupon deal ahead of time (same day is ok), which is $ 25 for one person to enjoy two races and a bottle of water. $ 45 can get you the same deal for two people.
