Glenn Roter, OD – Las Vegas Vision Center of Walmart

This office is great! The front desk ladies were kind and efficient, doctors assistant was kind and helpful. Appointments were readily available — next day or at your convenience. I saw Dr. Choi, the secondary doctor at this office. She was fantastic!!! I received the most thorough eye exam I can ever remember having, and my ²⁰⁄₄₀₀ vision has been corrected to ²⁰⁄₂₀. She was on time for my appointment and even asked me to come back later in the day to make sure my new contacts were working out and comfortable. She did digital imaging on my eyes and explained my future risks for various eye issues. She also provided recommendations for eye surgeons. I will happily return to this office. Everyone was fantastic!

My appointment was at 11:20. I didn’t get seen until almost noon. Sitting in the waiting room the next patient comes in and tells me he saw him eating! They opened at 9. He couldn’t eat before he came in?!? Not even an apology for the wait. That’s what I get for not sticking to my old optometrist. Never had to wait more than 15 minutes before. During the exam he recommends eye surgery for my son without really thoroughly explaining why and just gives me a referral. That’s a serious recommendation for my child. I’m sure he is a great optometrist. He is just not the one for my family. I’d rather pay more for a little more professionalism.

Dr. Roter was able to get me in right away (as soon as the very next day). He was attentive and conscientious in helping me get a new prescription — which is great, because some doctors can be intimidating during an exam! He reassured me that if I got my glasses and there was anything wrong, he would help me with a better one.
His staff is also very nice!

I was really hoping to get my contacts today however, my vision is super bad that the store did not have my prescription in stock. Thankfully! Liz was able to help me out with a pair of contacts along with ordering my ½ year supply. I was in and out of the vision center! Liz was awesome and I would definitely come back again. If you are trying to find a reasonable and quick vision center go to this location. :)

The staff is friendly and Dr. Roter is super nice. Very informative! Easy to schedule and the price is affordable compare to other optometrists. Highly recommended this office.

This review is long over due. A few months ago I popped into Dr. Roter’s office with a wicked eye infection, mostly due to allergies and contact use. I was told over the phone, prior to arriving, that they could not guarantee me being seen due to a full schedule. The receptionist was very helpful and told me Dr. Roter would try to see me ASAP. There must have been a late arrival as I was shuffled in very quickly. Dr. Roter did a thorough exam of my condition and prescribed me eye drops. My eyes felt like new within a few hours. Due to their courtesy and care I came back in 2 weeks ago to have my annual contact lens exam. I was treated exactly the same way as the first visit. Amazing. Dr. Roter also took extra time to have me try several contact lenses due to my sensitive an allergy prone eyes. I can not be happier with the two visits I’ve experienced so far. Just because his office is integrated in a Wal Mart does not mean you get cheap service. This man and his team provide equal, if not better, service compared to a luxury hotel. I can’t wait to go back when the time comes.

Dr. Roter is always super friendly and easy to talk to. My brother and I have only gone to him since we’ve moved to Vegas. He’s very chill, no pressure, no guilt trips to get you to buy anything like the doctors in California! His staff is also very friendly and they usually don’t mind talking to us in the lobby to keep us company while we wait. I love coming here and will continue to do so until I leave the state :]

I have been going to Dr. Roter’s for over 3 years now. I have anyways been treated respectfully and the girls at the front desk have always been so nice and helpful.
My last appointment was last weekend and because the person ahead of me was late they took me in asap. The Dr. has always been so friendly and informative. Even tho they don’t take my insurance. I am willing to pay the amount to see him because he is just THAT GOOD! :)

I was overdue for an eye exam and I was on my last pair of contacts. I called my optometrist and unfortunately he didn’t accept the new insurance I was switched to this year. I needed to see an optometrist quick, my contact was starting to irritate my eye. I called Dr. Roter’s office, they accepted my insurance and they were able to schedule me for the next day, hallelujah!
The day of my appointment, I got a text message in the morning to confirm. The receptionist and Dr. Roter’s assistant were both very friendly when I walked in. I filled out the paperwork and was immediately taken to the back to have my eye exam. I had to get a contact lens fitting and a prescription for eye glasses.
Dr. Roter was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I felt really comfortable with him. He advised me that for my next visit, I should get my retinas scanned since my prescription is higher now. You have the choice of dilation or the scan, which is great. I’m really happy with Dr. Roter and his staff, and the prices are great, I only paid $ 30 for my co-​pay, so I will keep on going back for my yearly exams as long as they keep on accepting my insurance.

I made my appointment. Had to cancel once. The staff is very friendly. The doctor explains all the details and wants to help you. He seems kind and attentive. Dr. Roter allowed me to test out my pair of bifocal contact lenses. I didn’t even know such lenses existed. On a return visit, he then tweaks the prescription as needed (no charge for the return visit). My vision is much improved. I can read restaurant menus again! I am very happy with his service.

Dr. Roter is awesome! My last exam (by a different doctor in California) was slightly traumatizing so I’ve been procrastinating about my next visit. Luckily I found dr. Roter because he made me feel comfortable and much less scared! My visit was quick and easy. I expressed my issues that I’ve had with contacts and he gave me some samples to try out. It’s nice to have options and find what works for me!
I also don’t have health insurance anymore and I felt the prices were very reasonable.
I will definitely be back!

I took my daughter to her first eye exam the dr was kind and explained each step of the exam her and made her comfortable. We will be back next year for a recheck.

He was really efficient. And he got me exactly what I needed. I would recommend him to anyone in need of glasses or an eye exam.

The Doctor is very thorough and he explained everything to me really well. Staff are friendly and helpful. Also like the fact that they’re open on Saturdays which is convenient.

Dr. Roster is great. We had to reschedule twice and was no problem at all. Convenience hours, has all the equipment, including the one to take pictures of your eye, which is new for this office. Very friendly. Fitted my daughter for contacts and was very affordable. Love him!

Needed an eye exam and new glasses desperately. Went shopping in Walmart and decided to make an appointment at the vision center. Got an appointment with Dr. Roter for the same day.

So I went here last week for a walk in eye exam because I have had trouble seeing distances for a while. I was in the actual exam in probably less than ten minutes. I have never had glasses before, or even an exam, so this was all very new to me. I found out I did need them and the preview I got was excellent. I didn’t realize I could see such things. Haha The doctor was very nice and explained everything to me very well.
I will return here again definitely and I recommend anyone to go here.

I really liked this guy. I brought my 9 year old stepson in for a new prescription and both he and his office assistant were very personable, knowledgeable, and fast.
Being in a Walmart really concerns me. So much that I refuse to eat at the Subway or McDonalds that is in a Walmart but Dr. Roter is the exception to the rule. He was very thorough with my stepson and took the time to talk to him and explain everything that he was doing.
My vision is fine, but if I ever need an optometrist I am coming here and will definitely return with the kid. Safe bet for good, swift service.
