Mr. Gonzales is a solo practitioner engaged in the private practice of law in Nevada for the past 27 years; primarily in the areas of Criminal Law, Immigration Law, Family Law and Personal Injury.
Mr. Gonzales is a seasoned and experienced trial attorney who has tried diverse cases ranging from murder to medical malpractice. Historically, he has appeared in many remote, rural areas of the State of Nevada and has successfully argued cases in the Nevada Supreme Court as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Gonzales prides himself on the personal attention given to his clients through rigorous preparation and a firm and complete understanding of the law and facts of the particular case. He is candid in assessing the strengths and weaknesses of his client’s cases and establishing reasonable expectations; which is invaluable in assuring that clients’ expectations are not overly inflated and unrealistic, and that appropriate decisions are made by the client
History
Established in 1985.
Mr. Gonzales has maintained his practice in the same downtown office in the City of Las Vegas since 1985. The office is within one block of the state and federal district courts, the justice and Municipal Courts, and the Clark County Detention Center. His practice, however, extends to easily accessible but more remote areas of the city; including the Family District Court located on Pecos and Bonanza, and the Immigration Court located at Pepper Lane and Pecos.

Mr. Gonzales was born and raised in southern California. After graduating from Newbury Park High School, he went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). After serving as an intern with the Anti-Trust Division of the California State Attorney Generals Office. Mr. Gonzales went on to receive his law degree from the University of Utah.
Mr. Gonzales was employed as a Law Clerk for the Clark County District Attorney’s Office from 1979 to 1980 and was admitted to practice law in the State of Nevada on October 2, 1981.
From January, 1984 to the present, Mr. Gonzales has been employed in the private practice of law. His primary emphasis is Criminal Law and Immigration Law. Mr. Gonzales is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice.
