I saw Gordie Brown on Thanksgiving after I ate at the Gold Nugget buffet. The theater was upstairs from the buffet and it was a small theater. The chairs were comfortable, but I felt that our seats were lower than the row in front of us. Regardless, we still saw the stage just fine to watch the show. Anyways, Gordie Brown’s impressions were good for most of them. There were a lot of older people in the crowd so some of the references that he made got laughs from them. I thought the show was funny even though it was just about one hour long. Come watch Gordie Brown!

Well, gordie is good with impressions, band peppy… BUT .Material old and repetitious. With all the material out there to work with… Isn’t it time to step it up and not linger on «Tom Jones” — yes most of audience«older” — yep I fell for the discounted ticket angle as well. But ½ of venue empty. I’m not young but I’m not dead… Expected better when reading write up about how much he loves his audience. Started off well but no enough to sustain allotted time. Found delivery good but did seem by rote and shall we say as act went on and became repetitious not so sure he was«loving his fans» and just watching the clock on the monitor that we could see was behind his front speaker. So opinion if free — why not if staying at hotel and not wanting to venture out. Better option — get the Fremont experience– people watch in the open mall area, grab a drink, etc. An opportunity to feel a part of Vegas as opposed to feeling another part of vegas, tired performer, old act, some laughs but won’t leave smiling and saying I wished act was longer or we have to come back and see him. I typically Only leave positive comments but sometimes you have to say it like you see it. I had to tell myself I do look at reviews and plan my activities with a little bit of attention to what I read.

Eric Burdon & the Animals were Brilliant(11 – 20). Sang all their Great Songs and did a nice tribute to Bo Diddley(encore of «It’s my Life» my favorite part). The Showroom was Sold Out(what did you Expect ?). So I give them 5 Stars. However, how can a 6 Story Parking Garage have 1 working Elevator ??? It has been broken nearly the entire year, maybe longer. Get with the program Golden Nugget ! Take a few $ out of every Slot Machine and FIX this problem ! Downtown is still a Joke compared to all the other Casinos. I will only visit the GN if they have any more Great Rock n Roll groups in the Future ! and I still want a Refund for my Free Gordie Brown tickets

So my husband was excited to see Gordie tonight. We purchased our tickets yesterday and then this afternoon learned that the strip and other streets would be closed until 10 this evening. We left Paris at 4:40 pm in hopes of making the 7:30 show. We arrived at the Golden Nugget at 6:30 and picked up our tickets, grabbed at quick bite at Grotto and headed to the theatre. Ten minutes before the show was to start Gordie cancelled the show. There were less than 50 people in line for a refund so we can only imagine that the attendance was so low on a rainy night with lots of traffic and street closures he chose not to arbitrarily come to the show. Bad deal all around. Can’t really even give him 1 star cause we didn’t see the show.

This is more for an older crowd. Those signs that say he’s the best impressionist… uh no! His show is ok but since he makes references to old actors and songs I couldn’t really relate and didn’t find it funny. The old people were cracking up and the people laughing around me made me laugh.

Hilarious! We saw Gordie several years ago and it was an outstanding comedy act. Last night was even better. His impressions are amazing, particularly Jim Carey and Robert DiNero.

Unless your 60 or over don’t bother! I am 48 and most of the people he was impersonating where around before I was born. I could not wait for it to end! I would have left but I was blocked in by very large people, they must have went to the buffet that comes with tickets! Skip this one!

The worst comedy show I have ever seen hands down. It was not funny at all I am 30 year old male and have been to many comedy shows but this one by far was the worst. A lot of people 65 and older were laughing but it was not funny at all to me. It was like a person with multiple personality son crack. And the impressions not very close at all.

We came here last night. It is located inside Golden Nugget. The theater is small so any seat is a good seat. Gordie Brown is quite talented, I enjoyed his impersonations, comedy and singing. A lot of his material is for older people. But he did sing some modern music as he noticed there were some younger crowd. His band were pretty good. He kept the audience on their feet.

I did not enjoy this show. It was cheesy with lame jokes and his impressions weren’t that good. Gordie was laughing more than the audience. I feel bad for him. He needs some new material. It was all dated or juvenile. Corny jokes a 12 year old would think up. Then pretended they were shocking. The only people I can see enjoying this show are older or maybe tourists who don’t get out much. It was terrible.

Gordie Brown at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas is hilarious! I loved his combination of impressions and songs. He left me wanting more. Very energetic. Everyone in my party loved him.

With the theater less than a third full, we wondered if it was worth it. He caters to the audience, which is good, unless most of the audience is over 60 and you are not. Most of the people he imitated are long dead. The only funny part was when a drunk patron stumbled up the stairs and Gordie made some jokes. When a performer is laughing more than the audience, there is an issue.

This was surreal. For demographic purposes: we are in our late 30s/early 40s. Gordie Brown seems like a talented guy, I just wish he’d make the material his own. We got all the references, we just didn’t find them funny. Some of the impressions were good, but the jokes fell flat. They were racist and/or mean-spirited, and seemed very elementary. And by «elementary», I mean«elementary school». Examples: Asians can’t say«r» and are always pushing the egg rolls(cringeworthy impression of a «generic» Asian woman– he went here… a lot). Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles are blind(hilarious!). Elton John is soooooo gay! Bill Clinton is a lecher! Cigar joke! George W. Bush is really dumb! He makes up words! Arnold Schwarzenegger is foreign! I could go on, but no reason you should have to suffer too. It’s a shame. He seems to have a good singing voice and some of his impressions were quite good. The longest 90 minutes I’ve experienced in a long time.

While overall being at the Golden Nugget was great(we came last year on a whim and came back this year for our anniversary because we had so much fun last time), the Gordie Brown show was a tremendous letdown. His material is was not only dated(Clinton jokes? Really?), but actually pretty racist. Cosby = rape jokes, Sammy Davis Jr. = cocaine jokes, Stevie Wonder = weed jokes? Dean Martin = nothing. Tom Jones = nope. I was also pretty distracted by his ridiculously white teeth. It also seemed like he took a LOT of his mannerisms from Robin Williams. We ended up leaving about 20 minutes into the show. Luckily the tickets were free.

Gordie Brown impressed me with fine celebrity impersonations interspersed with comedy. His material is eclectic and spans generations, ranging from Sammy Davis Jr. to Forrest Gump and Usher. I particularly liked his interpretations of singers Willie Nelson, Tom Petty, and Neil Young; Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush; and his dead-on impressions of actors Jim Carrey, Jack Nicklaus, and Christopher Walken, and actor-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. It is a short but fast-paced show worth seeing at least once.

The Gordie Brown relationship started at a Celine Dion concert. Gordie was the opening act and Celine raved about his show and said it was a «must see» in Sin City so… I added to my bucket list cause if Celine loves him I love him. So Gordie Brown is at the Golden Nugget in the original old style Vegas. First of all, this place was insaaaaaaanely awesome at night. I almost cried when my battery went dead on my phone and I was unable to take pictures. This is where the Elvises are, the midgets and the crazies all shuffled together in one area for pics and entertainment… ok back to Gordie. Yeah…the crowd seemed older, but Gordie is a good olé wholesome funny and I can appreciate wholesome funny. He is an impersonator; that’s his talent. You’re not coming here for Chris Rock stand-up comedy, you’re coming here because you’re the funny one that’s gonna make fun of everything that’s not funny and look around at your friends while everyone else thinks its super funny and then you’re gonna be a good sport and laugh to pretend its funny. My group of 4 were front row spectaros to this little show, so this was our strategy and we had a blast. He does Julio Iglesias, Adam Levine, Elvis and I think he’s awesome. I got my deal thru Travelzoo, so if you can get a deal; it’s definitely worth a shot. It will give you a reason to go to this part of town and for us it was definitely not regrettable.

Came to see Gordie Brown about 3 years ago and didn’t really remember the show so I decided to come see it again, this time along with the gf, Rachel S. This show is definitely meant for an older crowd, and no I’m not saying that just because 98% of their patrons appear to be AARP members! It’s because I didn’t get a lot of the references and impressions he was making during the show, and thus didn’t think a majority of the show was funny at all. On the other hand, Gordie is a very talented singer and impressionist which is basically what the show is… a mixture of covers and comedy based on musicians and celebrities that were famous before I was born. This is the kind of show you would take your parents or grandparents to, but not really go on your own unless you got free or discounted tickets. However, it might be worth going again just to see all the old folk go cray cray over some covers of old songs!

Gordie Brown… a great entertainer! His show is located at the Golden Nugget off of Fremont. The showroom is on the second floor of the casino. It’s in a somewhat smaller theater but that’s great for any seat in the house. Sound quality is amazing and the seats are actually quite comfy! I wasn’t sure what to expect but he is very talented. The show is non-stop impressions with singing and comedy. Gordie does the entire show with a ‘Robin Williams’ style energy. He has a great band around him as they go through all types of genres of music. With a very entertaining show, I would come back again. He does change it up so you’ll see something new. Enjoy!
