Holy Family Catholic Church

Today was my second time ever being here and I really did not enjoy my experience. I went to the Spanish mass and it was crowded. People are so disrespectful when your trying to pass even though you would say, «excuse me» they won’t move. People can’t get up and give up their seat to an elderly person?
To make things worse people can’t shut up during mass. They can’t shut their kids up also. Now for the staff. Can’t you guys notice how hot it is in there? Theres babies sweating for Gods sake. Also, why can’t you all say in the beginning to shut your kids up, or take them outside to not disturb the rest of the people and to turn off your cellphones! One more thing… when your going up for communion can you tell people to STOP crowding around like if its a free give away? Tell them to form a line.
This goes to the people attending mass. Are you effing serious? Are you kidding me? Why on earth are you going to mass for if once your outside trying to leave you don’t let people pass? Whats the point if your going to act like asses just like when you came in? Just stay at home if you feel its a chore to go to church. No one is making you go against your will. Just stay home, or grow up. I won’t be coming again.
The only thing I liked was that it sorta reminds me of my old church in Cali. But that’s it just the architecture reminds me of it.

Despite Unilocal saying I only have 2 check ins here, I only recently started checking in here. We have been coming here for about 2 years on and off fluctuating between St Viator, St Anne’s and St Thomas More. Depending on where we are we will go to either of those Catholic Churches. This is the closest to our home after moving by Sam Boyd Stadium the church I grew up in St Anne’s is just too much of a trek for us so we made a new home here at Holy Family. It doesn’t get as packed as some of the other Catholic Churches which I like. We always feel welcome here and it serves the purpose of serving Our powerful and Almighty Lord God. We might visit other churches from time to time but we always come back to Holy Family. We love it here. Glory to God in the highest and peace to his people on Earth.

The Holy Family is the closest catholic church to my place which makes it very convenient for me. I’ve gone here a few times in the past few years, even before I moved to Vegas, because my aunt took us to mass here and I notice the parish has made some changes. But I come because the community is friendly and Father Gene delivers interesting, easy to understand, and meaningful homilies. He has a nice sense of humor as well. The noon choir is more like a band and is very upbeat and loud, which I don’t mind because I’m there for the mass and message. The band is the young adult group and play/​sing well. However I do prefer the traditional and mellow music which the younger and older choir sing at 8am and 5pm mass. What ever mass time you attend, parking should never be an issue because there’s a big lot with plenty of spaces. I also like it because it’s a nice church nestled in a neighborhood that isn’t busy to get to.

Holy Family Catholic Church is a church with a large older population and a large Hispanic population. It isn’t as affluent as St. Viator’s or as vibrant as St. Thomas More.
But I prefer Holy Family because of the schedule for the Adoration, the friendliness of the community, and the appealing homilies by Father Gene. My 12 year old and 8 year old actually ask to go to Mass and are up and ready for the 8am Mass by 6:45am because they like listening to Father Gene. Not having to fight to get them into church is enough of a recommendation for me.
