House of Bargains

I’m a fan of good thrift store and stumbled upon this store since it was across from where I was having dinner.
Oh my. Nothing in here that screams take me home.
I was hoping for awesome things but not for me.

Nice place with some very vintage items! Found some awesome cigar ashtrays and they have a lot of vintage glassware to choose from. The lady working there was very pleasant and had such an «old school» way of business ethic. Loved it!

Woohoo! This is a great place with reasonable prices.
I could not believe we found so many great vinyl records (including Ramsey Lewis Trio, Dave Brubeck).
We were paying for some baking pans and a painted box with our records when we asked about TV stands.
Well, right inside the front door was a cool cabinet made of wood for $ 14.99.
Wait, What?
My husband has a dark bookcase and our furniture was dark so he felt the blond wood was not a match.
I, seeing a great bargain, quickly pictured the cabinet under our stereo in the family room.

The lady was already giving us a discount (maybe I look 65 after all? Lol) when she rang up the cabinet for $ 11. and change.
My husband being the sweet angel he is, already had the cabinet in the car.
Believe me I saw a bunch of fun and useful items about which my spouse would raise his eyebrows but you know I will be back with or without him.

As with all thrift shops, it’s always hit or miss, and you must go often. Been here twice and already scored items on both occasions. This last time was a major score. We saw two large ornately framed mirrors that were 35“x48″. One was marked $ 99, and the other $ 75 (but marked down to $ 60). We asked if they were open to offers and they gave us both mirrors for $ 60 each.
This is a small family owned store so come and check it out and support your local business owners!
Heads up though, last time I came in they were cash only. Not sure if they got a card machine or not yet.

I went in looking for some items to decorate my home. Although I did not buy anything that day, I saw a few large items that I will return for. The few clothing items I looked at seemed a little pricey, but for home items, this is a great store.
