Kmart

This store used to have the most friendliest and helpful employees i have ever seen. Now the employees, store and management are just ridiculous. Employees ignore you when you need help. Management doesn’t know what they’re doing. Arguing between employee and managers. I just feel so bad for this store. It slowly went down hill within the last 6 years. When you go here please wait until you’re day off or a free time because It’ll take all day to for a cashier to ring up a person. It doesn’t have that much organization in this store. Its a mess in this store

My review has definitely gone down these last few visits. All I ever see are groups of associates standing around, talking, not assisting customers, and talking crap in front of you. Cashiers HATE their job and take their sweet time omg. You seriously cannot get a good greeting out of any associate. This place is such a disgrace.

This place is good for a quick visit. If you’re looking for help when you’re shopping, good luck cause when there are associates there, they’re too busy socializing to even bother greeting you. Very slow cashiers who don’t seem knowledgeable to any degree. The store is very run down and visibly falling apart in multiple areas. Don’t waste your time going here, not worth the unpleasant experience.

If I could give them ½ a star I would. I went to Kmart in 3116 and saw a mattress cover for a queen size for $ 3.50 (not sure of the change) however it was a sale. When I took it to the register it came up $ 11. I then told the clerk that i would go and the price for her. She stated that a employee from that department was on the way to check out the price. Ok 10 minutes later she came and took the information from the package in order to find the correct price. When she returned she saw the other packages for queen bed cover at the sales price anf it was placed the by a mistake by their employees. However she would not honor the price marked on the rack because it wasn’t supposed to be there. Then turned and walked away. This is the worst customer service I have received. What an horrible experience.

I had an online order I went to go pickup and when I showed up they couldn’t find my order, they made me wait for over an hour while they looked for it. When they couldn’t find it they just asked for my information and sent me home so they could «look some more». A few days later I called the store to see if they found it and they kept me on hold for over 20 minutes so I just hung up. Never shopping at this store ever again.

This review pertains to the pharmacist, Mike. He could not be any ruder! Today was the icing on the cake. Called management to complain about him. It must be horrible to be so rude and mean everyday!

Based on my personal experience … Kmart is a great place to shop if you do not mind the store manager telling you the store will not accept a return because the item was purchased on the Internet. Please check out the other reviews which give this store a low rating on Unilocal.Shop at your own risk. BTW I had the receipt and they still said, «no».

Quite pissed off how long it took to get someone to the electronics department. I had to go to the front to get someone to help me. I go back to electronics to wait. No one came for 10 minutes. So I called them on the phone line because I didn’t want to miss someone coming while I was gone and thus restart the waiting process. Yeah, I hate being an asshole, but it was ridiculous. Took another 10 minutes after that phone call. Once an employee came, she didn’t have the key! Another 5 minutes. All this didn’t even account for the initial 15 minutes I was there wandering electronics waiting and waiting. There is just never anyone at the electronics. Just a bunch of customers like me sticking their heads out as if they’ll spot an employee or something. Fat chance. I thought it was just this store, but pretty much all KMarts are like that lately. They aren’t even busy. I see a bunch of teenage Kmart employees standing around chatting at the checkout.
I love Kmart, but really hate the wait. Yes, I wait every single time. This time, I’m finally Unilocaling about it because I’m late going home and stuck in traffic. Getting angrier by the minute…
Edit: I can’t believe I’m still angry the next day. I guess it bothered me more than I thought. What bothers me the most is that probably a really mean customer would most likely get what they need immediately. As for civilized, understanding, patient people like me gets the rotten apples and long wait times. Screw that — I should just start acting like bitches and jerks. Really, I didn’t even raise my voice once through all that dumb self-​control.

Okay so my mom and i recently went to this Kmart and my mom had to use the bathroom. first the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. it was literally not fit for a human to use this bathroom. so my mom went and told an employee that it was gross and asked if there was another bathroom that she could use. they said that their policy was that no one was allowed to use the other bathroom except the employees. my mom has a personal problem that if she doesn’t use a restroom her body won’t hold it. so she followed an assistant manager (who was going to ask his manager if she could use it) and the manager (Andrea was her name) blatantly blurted out to the employee «Oh my gosh! That lady just walked up in here, she’s crazy!» And my mom replied, «I’m not crazy.» And Andrea said, «oh yes you are!»
After that we walked out and left our cart full of product. we don’t plan to ever go back to that kmart. the only redeeming thing was the assistant manager that led my mother to bathroom. he was very compassionate and nice about the situation.

I have mixed reviews about Kmart. First of all I love their Christmas and Halloween items. When the holiday is over, they discount it to like 70% off which is a great deal! The only downside about Kmart is that how bad their checkout lines are! They usually just open 1 register at 8pm and the lines are ridiculously long. I hate it when they keep bugging me with Sears card and donate because I just want to get out and leave! I’ve worked here before but I didn’t even last long with how horrible the management is! Treat everyone fairly Kmart and make another tactic because you are literally going downhill! Invest to new cash registers for god sakes! Those cash registers are probably older than me!

I am starting to think it’s Kmart as a whole that has service issues. A woman in front of me was trying to use coupons they were valid but it was something along the lines spend 20 get 5.00 off. But because her other coupon dropped the price below 20.00 they wouldn’t do it. The cashier was combative and uncaring, stop the line made us all wait and listen to there fight. Then 5 minutes later calls the supervisor over who also argues with the customer. She ends up not buying anything and 5 to 6 of us get to witness some of worst service I have ever seen. So ask yourself does it make good business sense to just let the customer use the coupon and you loose five bucks or insure that everyone sees that we as customers don’t matter.

Very rude cashier workers. The lady helping me spoke in a monotone voice, nothing she said could even be mistaken as sincere or nice. When she handed me my receipt, she pretty much shoved it into my hand, but why wouldn’t she when she didn’t even bother to make eye contact with me. And when I said ‘thank you’, she didn’t tell me to have a nice day.
There were only two lines open and they were both 7 customers deep when they finally decided to open another one. I’m giving two stars only because I’ve been buying my jeans from here for years, but I really wish they would invest in a self-​checkout so that I don’t have to deal with unhappy cashiers.

God this place sucks. From the half empty shelves, terrible organization and playing 20 fucking questions at checkout. The lines always move slow because the cashiers ask you about using loyalty cards, charging a sears card, donating to some charity, if I want a recipt, do I want coupons…
How about I just swipe my card and pay so I can get the fuck out of this dump? Jesus.
Get it together kmart.
On the pro side, weed killer is on sale presently which is a good deal.

Good deals, never crowded, loyalty points, clean, and 7am to 10pm good shopping hours.

This tacky cashier, was ridiculously unprofessional and rude to me yesterday. But what a ray of sunshine to the people behind me. I’d understand a little if I was a jerk to her, but I was nice, walked up with a smile, my friend even commented on her ridiculously bad red dye job. She was just flat out rude.

Apparently this is one of the few KMarts still open and operating.
But once you walk in the doors, you understand why there aren’t many around.
For starters, there are few customers and few employees– kind of a ghost town. Only two registers open toward the end of my visit and both were very slow.
Lots of clearance tables in the back of the store, topped with random products and sale price tags– nothing was a particularly great deal.
Initially stopped in to get shorts for an upcoming theme park trip, and was kind of surprised by the lack of selection– could not find basic denim shorts. The celebrity lines by Niki Minaj, Adam Levine, and Sofia Vergara all appeared very trendy, relatively well-​priced, made of cheap materials. Not entirely surprising. Frankly I’m just curious as to how they can afford so many celeb lines.
Finally found about 10 pairs of bermuda pants, luckily one pair was in my size. Took it to the fitting rooms, which had no staff present when I approached or when I left. Lord only knows what customers could get away with back there.
Unimpressed with my visit, prices were okay, staffing was low but store was clean and organized. On par with a less-​trafficked Walmart.

Kinda trashy… But not quite. Good bargains on kids clothes. The cashier was sweet and friendly. That’s about all I can really say.

Ahhhh K-​Mart!
So, I really like K-​Mart! I enjoy not hearing kids and seeing a crap ton of people. Its super relaxed here and they have a wide variety of clothing, bedding, housewares, shoes, and much more! They also an Olan Mills studio inside!
I cam looking for a Rebels shirt bc a few months ago I spotted one on sale for 7.99, I shouldve purchased it then bv they only had 2 this time! I ventured on to the shoe area. Here they have a TON of heels from Sophia Vergara which are totally fab, but this lil fatty doesnt even try to do heels! Im not about to look like a fool walking like im trying to avoid hot lava! Ha! Anywho they also have a nice selection of boots, some flats, and a lot of comfy worker type shoes. The prices are good too, right now they have a ton of clearance shoes 50% off! They also have a nice variety of childrens and mens shoes.
I went on to clothing; this is a little tough for me to find properly fitted garb. Im short and have them Latina hips and thigh so some stuff doesnt fit well. Kmart is a hit or miss with plus size. Sometimes they have suuuuper cute styles but the price sucks. This time they had nothing that was cute, imo. When designers design clothing for the chubbs they ALWAYS make it for an older audience. Im 25, I do not like all these weird color blocks and shapes. I like solid and crisp on a shirt. Also, seriously if Bongo is going to make a plus size line and the shirt says its 2x, it should be! Buuut no, its like an xl at best; this is common with a lot of clothing designers which is the pits! Anywho, I found a cute pair of Bongo jeans and proceeded to the checkout. Another qualm is I had to get these pants a size larger, I was meh as long as they fit ok which they did.
At the register the cashier was super friendly and quick. The price on the pants read 7.99 but they of course rang up differently. She didnt question it, she just changed it and viola! I love that! Other retailers question and go through a cavity search, here it was painless and quick!
I will continue to shop here until they «do me dirty» hahaha.

I grew up with The Big K stores, it became a rather cheap place to shop but since its merge with Sears, I believe the quality has improved. I have several pieces of clothing that are Kate Smith’s collection from a few years back to present, that are made well, has kept their shape and have worn well. I am impressed each time I pull out one of them to wear.
I also like coming in to find the racks of mark downs, and this trip, found many summer tops marked down to $ 3 bucks. I don’t mind this, as living in the desert, it seems those summer tops can still be worn well into the fall and winter months.
I also like the jewelry department, I don’t want to spend a fortune for a simple gold hoop I wear almost daily. I like their selection and they always seem to be 70% off.
My husband actually found a new microwave here for much less than Sears, to replace ours when it went out. So if you haven’t been in a Kmart lately, I think you might be surprised.

K-​Mart seems to be a perpetual running joke even when it isn’t doing anything wrong.
While it’s easy to dismiss the store as simply «LOLZ K-​Mart… Derp!» and call it a day, they do carry good appliances (no doubt as a result of their partnership with Sears), and K-​Marts are usually a good place to get cheap electronic media. More often than not, I can find harder to locate movies and video games sold for dirt cheap prices. If all else fails, K-​Mart usually has one of what I want hidden amongst their wares. Their garden section isn’t that bad, either.
It’s an old-​looking store, and it shows. Nothing wrong with it, but it’s just old. Is it as nice and updated as Target? Nope, but it works for cheap deals and not a lot of hassling with other people. At least the people that I do deal with are the staff, and they have been consistently nice through every transaction.
It’s funny how the inherent uncoolness of K-​Mart passes on from generation to generation. I still hear the same jokes as I did from when I was a kid. For jokes that long ground into repetition, it’s time to get some new material.
