Description

Specialties

Red wiggler worms in Las Vegas for composting and gardening. These worms are specially adapted to survive our hot summers and cold winters. They thrive in our South Western climate where other worms die.

I supply worms for indoor composting, outdoor composting, potted plants, container gardens, raised bed gardens, lawns, fruit trees and many other things.

People ask if I am a real business. Not really. I’m just a guy who loves to garden as green as possible and discovered that worms are the key to a great garden.

I don’t have a store or anything, I just sell worms straight my garden bins when I have extra.

History

Established in 2011.

I actually started by accident. I’ll give you the short story here. If you want the whole story, go to this page on my website: lasvegasworms.com/red-wigglers-for-gardening-in-las-vegas/

I wanted a lush garden that gave me lots of veggies so I bought some worms from someone here in Las Vegas who has since moved. I put 4,000 worms in my garden and left them through the heat. I thought all of them died. But…

It turns out that a few of them lived and those 200 or so worms that could handle the insane summer heat have been breeding and populating my garden ever since.

My garden is now amazing. When I have extra worms, I can sell them to people for their gardens, composting, or the black gold (vermicompost) that the worms make.

Go to my website where you’ll find a ton of information on raising worms here in Las Vegas, plus you can contact me to get some of these incredible heat tolerant worms for yourself.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

I grew up in rural Wisconsin where we had acres of gardens that pretty much fed our family. When I moved to Las Vegas, I thought it would be a snap to start a garden.

Little did i know that you have to build your own soil here. It took me over a year to get a garden that produced the way the family garden did back in Wisconsin, and the key was worms.

I have a nice little raised bed garden in the front yard that does really well. Maybe best of all is how relaxed I am when I’m out gardening though.
