I just went in for a consultation. They were prompt, friendly, and very professional. They were so respectful of my time, too, and I didn’t wait long to get taken back or spoken to about pricing and options. I was really nervous this I would get a sleazy, «salesperson» feel from the surgery tech giving me quotes and pricing, but it wasn’t like that at all! Although it was priced a bit out of my range, it was nice to just get a straight answer, no «up sells,» and feel good walking or of there. I will surely be back when I am financially ready to make this investment.

The staff and Dr Rothman are the best in Nevada!!! I am just over a month out of Lasik and I couldn’t be happier! I went from being «legally blind» to drive without corrective lenses to ²⁰⁄₄₀ vision in a very short time and it will be even better as time progresses. I’m so happy to be able to open my eyes and see the alarm clock in the morning. No more reaching for glasses or fighting to put contact lenses in. After more than a year of prk, im now wearing eyeglass again. Astigmatism is back and have severe dry eyes.
I honestly felt that my dry eyes caused by the surgery wasnt taken care of. I got the impression from their doctor that my eyes are better than it was before and that i should be content though i have severe dry eyes. Well it affects my daily ²⁴⁄₇ life. From the moment i wake up and my eyelids stuck together to feeling sharp gritty feelings in my eyes when im out to going to bed and afraid my corneas damaged since it was so dry. I have to put eyedrops very very frequently.
They were really good in explaining the procedures and benefits of lasik but after that with all the negative side effects– dry eyes, halos, star bursts caused by it… they didnt help me anymore.

I’ve been debating on getting LASIK for years and I finally did it! After researching like crazy I chose Dr. Rothman. Both he and his staff were absolutely incredible and I just couldn’t be more happy. From the first consult to the post op appointment they truly exceeded my expectations in every way. I had the surgery yesterday (it was sooo much easier than I thought) and by this morning I was already pain free and seeing ²⁰⁄₂₀. My eyes are still healing so my vision should continue to improve over the next month or so too. If you’re debating on getting it done, go get a consult and just do it! Best gift I could ever give myself!

Hard to believe it’s been over six months since my lasik surgery. After wearing glasses for 54 years, I rarely even need my reading glasses. I’m SO glad I did this for myself. I had lasik in April, and it has been fantastic. Dr. Rothman was super nice and professional. I had done a lot research about lasik and visited 5 places before i finally chose Dr. Rothman. He was the only doctor who was available to talk face to face during the consultation. He answered all my questions and explained very well (i have a phd so i like to ask detailed questions about the technology, procedure, and possible side effects). He was very patient and professional, which made me less nervous about the procedure. During the procedure, i was not nervous at all. My eyes were not comfortable on the first day of the procedure. It was like when you are wearing dry contacts. My vision was back to ²⁰⁄₂₀ the next morning, the only side effects were glare and halos. I waited to give this review until the halos were gone. And yeah, the halos were gone about two months after. Everything is back to normal. I am glad I made the decision to choose Dr. Rothman.

Dr. Rothman has been handling the annual exams that are required for me to maintain my license as a professional mixed-​martial-​artist for the past few years. He and his friendly staff have taken fantastic care of me during that time. Of the several offices I’ve visited over the course of my career, my experience at LASIK of Nevada has been by far the most enjoyable. I would recommend them highly to anyone in the market for an ophthalmologist.

I had lasik done yesterday and today, I have ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision. The results are purely amazing! The entire procedure was quick and pain-​free. Dr. Rothman and his staff are so friendly and great at what they do. Daniel, one of the techs, helped me feel at ease and Dr. Rothman never gave up on me and helped keep me calm when my anxiety was through the roof. I can also see again!!!

After thinking about it for a year and researching all of the places who offer Lasik, I decided to go with Dr Rothman! His experience and the online reviews were what did it for me. I was so nervous about having it done, but took the plunge this past week. Even though it’s only been a few days, the outcome is fantastic! The procedure was painless and quick. At my 1 month appointment I am still seein ²⁰⁄₁₅!

It has been a month since my surgery with Dr. Rothman. I was really scare of what the outcome was gonna be because I tried to do some research online and there’s so many opinions and different results on people that it was just freaking me out. But i hated the glasses and couldn’t wear contacts anymore :(decided to take the risk and I’m glad I did. Really excited to be able to see ²⁰⁄₁₅. Thank you! :)

On Sept. 6^th I received an enhancement. The initial procedure had not turned out as they would have hoped, but with time it could be corrected. I still had high astigmatism and needed some vision correction. In the meantime they outfitted me with contact lenses to correct my vision.
While the past 6 months have been frustrating (learning to wear contact for the first time and had many visits to check my vision) the staff was very friendly and courteous. Kathy was exceptional in listening and helping ensure my vision was acceptable as I awaited the 2^nd surgery. She made the waiting bearable.
Upon standing from the enhancement procedure, I noticed that my vision was clearer than the first operation. The day after follow-​up had me reading ²⁰⁄₂₀ in each eye.
As my eyes have healed over the last month, the vision is still acceptable. It appears that my eyes are continuing to heal, and that the vision isn’t as crisp as the day after surgery. I’m having slight doubling at longer distances.
I do appreciate the Dr. and his team for noticing the problems in my vision and working to correct them.

I’ve waited until my three month LASIK check up before writing this review. I had my surgery with the respected Dr. Richard Rothman. What a great experience. Not only is my vision nearly 20 – 15 but I’m finally free of contacts for the first time in 20 years.
Like you, I did a lot of research before this decision. I also had consultations with three specialists. But as soon as I talked to Dr. Rothman and his staff, I knew this was the place for me. Dr. Rothman has years of experience and uses the newest, proven technology. But it was his bedside manner that helped make my final decision. He thoroughly explained what I could expect during the procedure, how I would feel after the surgery and most importantly, why the process is safe.

I had lasik done on May 20^th. Dr Rothman and his staff very helpful. I had the monovision and truly love it. Thanks again Dr Rothman. I’ve been in glasses roughly 40 years, it’s so nice not having to fumble for my glasses in the middle of the night to see the clock, or worry about falling asleep in glasses when I watch TV. At my free no obligation consultation my vision was ²⁰⁄₅₀ in both eyes and a slight astigmatism in my left eye. My glasses and contacts prescription was –1.75 for both eyes. I knew before I scheduled my consultation that I was going to have LASIK done I just didn’t know which doctor in Las Vegas I wanted to go to. BUT after my consultation and meeting Dr. Rothman I knew LASIK of Nevada was the place I was going too. AND I knew I wanted Dr. Rothman as my surgeon :-)
I had my LASIK done on Saturday, 1÷25÷14, and was a SUPER anxious and SUPER nervous while waiting for the procedure to be done. I arrived at 1pm 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment, I would say that the waiting was the most nerve wrenching part of the whole day BUT once they give you your HAPPY :-) pill it was a lot better.
As far as the actual procedure, it was over before I could BLINK ;-) lol. But seriously, I went into the laser/​procedure room and was out within a couple minutes that’s how fast it is. Dr. Rothman and his staff take very good care of you. They double/​triple check your eyes before your go under the laser to make sure that is the best option for your vision.
After the procedure once the numbing drops wear off it hurt to keep my eyes open… SO I take the Doctors and staff advise…“GO TO SLEEP”. And that is what I did I had something to eat, of course, my eyes were closed and then took a pain reliever with a sleep aid and passed out. Don’t forget to wear those silly looking sleeping goggles!!! Sleep is the best medicine for your body to heal its self.

I have to begin by saying thank you. Thank you, Dr. Rothman, for your flawless operation that has granted me ²⁰⁄₁₅ vision and thank you to the staff that has helped me along the way.
Background story: I’ve always known that I wanted to get LASIK. I was tired of being inhibited by my glasses and not being able to swim or be out for long stretches of time because of my contacts. I had about a –7.75 vision on both eyes with slight astigmatism and it definitely felt like forever waiting for my vision to stabilize for a few years. What does –7.75 feel like? It means I am absolutely near-​sighted and my room would be a blur when I wake up until I put on my glasses.
That’s why I had to start with a thank you. It is simply amazing waking up every, single day and just being able to SEE!
Over the years I did my research about the different methods there were to getting LASIK done and after my consultation with Maria, I chose to receive the Premium All-​Laser LASIK package. The package I chose has a down time of ONE day, includes collagen plugs into your tear ducts in case your eyes constantly dry out after the procedure, and a 3-​year assurance plan that if my vision started slipping, they would operate again for free.
Bonus: if my review referred you here then definitely let them know because YOU get a small discount even though someone else is referring you there.
They did a lot of tests on me to make sure that I was a good candidate to receive that specific Lasik treatment, which I appreciated. We made sure that I had nice, thick corneas, did more tests, and even tested my tear production rate! I definitely liked how thorough they were being with little ol me.
On the magic morning of January 12^th, 2013, I was ready! On operating day, they place you and other people who will also be receiving the treatment in a room together. We were provided with ibuprofen to help relax us before our procedure. Dr. Rothman came in and formally introduced himself to everyone. He discussed with all of us how our tests turned out, how our procedures would be like, and what to expect.
When it came to be my turn. Laying on the table and staring up at the laser was definitely nerve-​wracking. His staff will numb your eyes and then use a device to keep them open (so you don’t blink) while he operates. Dr. Rothman shortly came in, gave me a cute, little stuffed caterpillar to hold onto and we began.
Getting LASIK, at least the all-​laser one is kind of a breeze. Your world, as you can see it, definitely gets blurry and your main focus is to stare straight into the green light. There were a few times where I wasn’t looking straight at it (I didn’t know) and Dr. Rothman remained very patient with me and talked me through the procedure. Afterwards, the world appeared as if I was looking at it underwater and then I was driven home so I could sleep. When the drops wear off, it does feel uncomfortable so better take something that can knock you out. I woke up with my vision definitely better, but still blurry. After sleeping again and waking up the next morning. My vision was perfect! I was driven to my day-​after checkup where I met Dr. Rouweyha and he checked to see if everything was in the clear.
For the next month or so, I took all of my medicated eye drops and eye lubricants at the right times they set for me and was very good about wearing my sleeping mask.
My optometrist Dr. C has been nothing short of amazing! I always look forward to my checkups with her and chatting. There was a day after checkup, with Dr. Rouweyha, and then my checkups with Dr. C were booked one month, 3 months, 6 months, and one year out. I just completed my one year with her and happy to report that my vision still remains ²⁰⁄₁₅ :)
I absolutely cannot recommend this place enough if you are considering/​want LASIK!
