History

Established in 1993.

M&K Heating and Cooling opened it’s doors in May of 2007. The owner, Mike Hope, started this company with the idea of providing honest service in a city that seems to have replaced honesty with money. Mike has over 21 years of experience with heating and cooling in the Las Vegas Valley. We are a fully licensed and bonded company.

Mike started his adult life in the United States Navy working on Jet engines on several aircraft carriers and completing 2 tours to Vietnam. After the Navy, he got into the oil field and specialized in drilling operations. Not too long afterwards, he moved his way up to the drilling supervisor and then landed a job drilling holes for the nuclear test facility supervising the drilling operations for nuclear testing. When the Nuclear test ban treaty was signed in 1992, Mike took his mechanical background with him and retrained in air conditioning and started M&K Heating and Cooling Services in May of 2007.

These guys are amazing. I called in about 4:30 pm today and told the nice lady that my A/​C wasn’t working. It’s a 2 year old K&B house in Inspirada in Henderson. After some questions from her we established that it was probably the wall thermostat, and made arrangements for a service tech the next day. About 15 minutes later I got a call from Mike, the owner. He said that tomorrow was totally booked, but he offered to send someone right away. Lo and behold, Kevin, the tech was at my front door in 20 minutes. He found that there was an electrical short someplace between the thermostat and the compressor. On a 107 degree day he went into the attic to track it down! He was polite, explained everything and fixed it. It’s now 7:30 and my A/​C is perfect. This is a great company, and Kevin is a terrific tech. Thanks guys!

Finally someone I can trust in Vegas for my heat and air needs! Thank God! Can I give you a few more stars? After having several techs come out from different places and them acting like they didn’t really care to help me with my problem, or they wanted to sell me something I didn’t need, and also not seeming to know what they were doing, and leaving my old ac man alone for keeping me on hold with air problems he caused, and then trying to sell me things I didn’t need, and also doing things wrong, and with the wrong part. Thank you Linda for sending Joe who was able to come out the day I called, who fixed my ac and recent heat problem that came up. The problem was diagnosed fast and now all my problems are solved and my unit is up and running again, and you saved me money also. I’ll refer all my friends to you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Excellent Customer service and Very Qulaified Technician. I owned a business in the past that operated alot of refridgeration equipment and a large AC unit and let me tell you i have become very equipt to tell you if i have been taken or not. And i can say that this company just might be the most honest AC company i have ever dealt with. Told me straight up what the problem was and that it was nothing major. He had the part in his truck. Took no time at all. He checked the system and the 2nd unit to see if there might be any forseable repairs. Said pressure looked good and recharged the system. Thought the bill would of been lots of $$$$$$. Not at all! I would reccommend to everyone! Thanks again M & K.
