Authentic Turkish Ice Cream or dondurma (‘freezing’ in Turkish), is a 300 year old tradition, known for its distinctly stretchy texture. This unique ice cream is achieved through a laborious technique and the use of salep flour (or ‘salepi’), ground from the root of wild orchids, indigenous to the southeastern region of Turkey.

Dondurma is traditionally made with sweetened, lactose-​friendly goat milk and without cream or eggs. Mastic (or ‘mastiha,’) the rare and natural resin of the mastic tree in Greece, is also used to enhance the ice cream’s stretchy texture and provides a distinctive evergreen note. Filled with antioxidants, mastic is widely touted for numerous health benefits in natural medicine.

I saw all the awesome reviews for Marash, and thought it would be a great stop while I was strolling around given how hot it was. This Turkish ice cream vendor is in the Grand Bazaar in the Bally’s hotel complex; it’s right next to the establishment that sells tickets to shows on The Strip.
Two Scoops on a Cone ($ 5.49?): I know it’s around $ 5.50 for two scoops, but I am not entirely sure; don’t quote me on the price. Of all the flavors, I chose Pistachio and Coffee – an odd combination, I know. Jane H.‘s review is spot on. The ice cream’s texture is rather thick, similar to a melted marshmallow (not a fan of that). I found it to be rich and not as sweet as American ice cream, which I liked. Both flavors I chose were strong and flavorful, with the pistachio having plenty of bits of pistachio pieces mixed in. The proprietors make the ice cream from scratch – who doesn’t love that?!
The video uploaded shows that they do all kinds of tricks while serving ice cream, but that unfortunately didn’t happen for my group (I had my camera ready, too – LOL). Marash’s ice cream is unique, but I can’t say I’m a fan. I’d give their ice cream another shot, though.

Good Ice cream, we just pass by, curious about it because I ve never hear about turkish Ice cream, then descide to buy just one scoop, it was good, but the guy serving behind the counter was dancing and doing tricks with Ice cream, he make us laugh.

Finally I found my Mediterranean ice cream in the states! Mastique flavor, handcrafted:-) like the one in my country!
They most of the time give u a good show when u buy the ice cream!
My favorites are Mastique and Turkish pistachio! All from scratch! made daily.

I have been there couple of times. Employees were super friendly. I almost tasted all of their flavored. My best one so far is the Turkish pistachio. Texture is a bit chewy. But the flavor, the hey said coming from the orchid. All natural, no additives, no preservatives!
They also said they are expanding and will start selling gyros/​shawarma/​doners in 2 months.

This is the worst ice cream ever. I will be honest with you it’s like Italian gelato that they call Turkish authentic ice cream. I actually found a big nasty fly that I accidentally swallowed. Then I got sick and vomiting for few hours. I thought j was poisoned. It was a black nasty fly. And also those guys accidentally drop hair from their anti sanitary
Environment. Don’t waste your money and get sick and end up in the emergency room, get the real gelato from real italic place…

Oh my God!!! This is it boy.
The best Turkish sticky Ice Cream ever. Try the one with pistachio. I was soo surprised to find out this cute shop in Las Vegas. The owner is also so friendly and always making sure that the customers are satisfied with their shopping. They are open until 4 am. I will stop by for sure when I come to Las Vegas next time for magic trade show.

Difference between regular ice cream and Turkish ice cream? It’s the texture and resistance to melting.
I’ve been craving ice creams, gelato and frozen yogurt lately. My favorite person decided to take me here to fulfill my cravings. This shop is located inside Grand Bazaar shopping center and is right next to the ticket place. There were about 8 – 10 different flavors and we got to sample some of the flavors before deciding on the one.
Guy on the counter was extremely friendly and outgoing. He was bursting with lots of energy that I wish he’d share some with me… full-​time college student over here stressed out with bazillion school work, pls help me out.
I was told their Pistachio is the most popular ice cream but skipped on it since I’m personally not a fan of Pistachio. I got few samples and decided to go with Mango since I was craving some fruity flavors. Let me just tell you, it was one of a kind. Rich, bold mango flavor and it almost felt like sucking on a real mango. It was different from regular ice cream in that consistency was thicker and did not melt on a hot spring day.
My only gripe is that scoops we got were tiny for what we paid. I personally think you get more in cup than their waffle cones. Then again, we are on the strip with bunch of tourists so high price is expected. I wouldn’t mind coming back again!

It’s a tiny little booth in the middle of Cromwell and Paris but what drew our attention was the loud middle eastern techno music they were busting out and the ice cream seller with his cute little Aladdin hat and HILARIOUS dance moves! We actually stood here way after finishing our ice cream because it was so fun and funny watching his dancing! Makes for such a fun vibe while walking the strip and the ice cream is really good! Super flavorful and light! Must try if you’re walking by!

I snagged some not-​overly-​sweet pistachio ice cream on a warm afternoon. One scoop was $ 3.95, so it’s not cheap, but it’s a good treat. There are about 12 – 15 flavors to choose from. To be frank, I am not sure what makes it Turkish, but it definitely did the trick. It seems not as rich as gelato but still true to the flavor.

Turkish ice cream isn’t for me… came here because I was craving ice cream… and at midnight, finding a dessert only place was not on my side. I saw Marash and noticed they had great reviews… so why not? I went to the little booth and waited for some service. The booth is extremely tiny and only one employee was there making and taking orders. This is a stand only joint with no seating.
For checking in, I got two free scoops of my choice. I chose strawberry and chocolate. Okay… Turkish ice cream reminds me of eating marshmallow. It is dense and chewy, and the flavors are not your typical expectation of the ice cream you are used to. I tipped the guy the amount it would have cost because I felt bad. Anyhow, the strawberry in all honesty, reminded me of those cherry cordials you get around the holiday. That’s the only way that I could describe the strawberry ice cream. The chocolate? I don’t know how to explain that one! It was just different…
I guess I am not a fan of their ice cream. Maybe their food is the better choice versus their ice cream?

Found this little hidden shop in the bazaar section of the strip. A Turkish ice cream place that reminded me of my childhood ice cream in Lebanon. It is very costly but different from the usual taste that we’re used to. I was disappointed for the lack of flavor choices they had. I wanted pistachio but settled for figures with walnut.

I came with my boyfriend on a Saturday night and used the Unilocal check-​In deal! With a Unilocal check-​in, you get a free fun size cup or cone. This ice cream is nothing like normal ice cream, it has similar texture as gelato, but much chewier and stretchier. It’s hard to describe, but it is very different.
The fun size includes 2 different flavors (normally costs $ 3.99). On my cone, I got the pomegranate and chocolate hazelnut. I thought the pomegranate flavor was lacking, since I couldn’t taste the fruity flavor much, but the chocolate hazelnut was delicious. It was very chocolatey, but the hazelnut flavor did not lack. Both the flavors were complementing each other quite well. My boyfriend got the banana and chocolate hazelnut in a cup. I tasted the banana, and it tasted just like a frozen banana. The flavors were pretty diverse, and I definitely enjoyed the different texture.
FYI — They are very generous with serving sizes. Even though we used a free Unilocal check-​in deal, they gave us the same amount, 1.5 scoops of each flavor!

I will start off by saying that I paid $ 12.70 for two small pistachio ice cream cones and I mean small sugar cones, not big waffle cones. I am not complaining though, you are on the Las Vegas strip. I am just giving you a heads-​up. This place is located in the Bally’s Shops. It is just at the bottom of the escalator coming down from the Flamingo Road crossover coming from The Cromwell.
The Turkish ice cream was very good. We both tried the pistachio. They will let you taste the flavored before you order if you like. They also sell some Middle Eastern type sandwiches and deserts too.
Good ice cream. I would recommend giving this place a try. Check-​in on Unilocal and get a free ice cream. I did not check-​in until after I ordered, so I will save it for next time.
I came back to try the shish-​kebab sandwich. Excellent! The chicken was also good. Try the spicy sauce.

Satisfied my ice cream cravings! I came here around 1 a.m. on a Saturday night and they were open! So immediately I checked Unilocal to see whats good and guess what… THEY HAVE A FREE ICE CREAM FOR CHECK IN! Gladly, the man behind the counter served us. I believe he was the owner. After sampling around a bit, the owner suggested the turkish chocolate and vanilla. He was about to hand me my ice cream until… he took it away, hit a kid on his chest with the cone, and then flipped my ice cream upside down.
I see stuff like this on youtube all the time but it was actually happening to me. Finally, he handed me my ice cream and smiled. Haha, love that man. Definitely made my day.
He scooped me two large scoops of ice cream on a cake cone. Very rich, and creamy. Delicious and tasteful. I’d recommend it.
Service: The people here care a lot about their customers.
Price: Well, with check in, it’s free but regular price is about $ 4 a cone?

I don’t know of other places in Vegas that has dondurma so, being the only option for this Turkish treat, I’m hoping Marash would stay afloat. This is located at the Bazaar Shops outside Bally’s.
I don’t mind watching people get teased before they get to eat their ice cream. But if I were in their shoes, I would not be too happy and I’d probably walk out. Do not play with my emotions by playing with my food and delaying my enjoyment of eating it.
A friend and I came here on a regular Vegas summer afternoon. We don’t function too well when we sweat. The Bazaar Shops being open and uncovered, we just wanted the process of getting ice cream to be quick and painless. I was not in the mood for fluff and a show.
I tried mango but I wasn’t a fan. So, I went with my go-​to flavors: chocolate hazelnut and pistachio. Dondurma isn’t known to be too sweet and that’s what you could expect from Marash. But the mastic was no match for the Vegas heat so, my ice cream melted right away. The chocolate hazelnut had peanuts and not hazelnuts. The Turkish pistachio was a delight though.

This small ice cream parlor is located on the heart of strip on Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo Ave with all the new shops.
I first saw this place a couple weeks ago when I visited Vegas but I didnt have time to stop by to try. I came back a week after and I got to try the ice cream finally.
I tried dondurma — authentic turkish ice cream in Korea where turkey guys will tease you giving ice cream. I was imagining something similar to that and I guess I cant really tell if the ice cream had the similar texture but it was good nonetheless.
The girl was very kind, offering us samples on ice cream. I got to try Staberry and Caramel which were pretty good but a little too sweet to my taste. I went with Pistachio and I am glad I did. It had a very good amount of Pistachio in it and it was toasty.
The best part of the fun was that I was checking in when I was about to pay and I got an offer saying I can get a free ‘fun’ size with the check in. Saved me about $ 5. Definitely coming back here next time I am in Vegas! Try it, it will keep you cool since it is getting too hot now in Vegas.
