Despite having several locations throughout the valley, the Metro Pizza in the UNLV Student Union is the only one I’ve been to. Students line up cafeteria style and pick a slice of pizza from the available options for the day. A slice of cheese is $ 2.79($ 3.02 with tax), which is kind of steep for what you get in my opinion. There’s several combo options available that include drinks, salads, or garlic knots. SLICEOFCHEESEPIZZA($ 2.79): Paper thin pizza that tastes quite bland. You’re lucky if you get it fresh! The day of my most recent visit, I was handed the smallest piece of pizza ever! My fault for not requesting a bigger slice, I guess. I was still hungry afterwards. :(2/5 GARLICKNOTS: Not very garlic-y and served room temperature, since they’ve been sitting out for a hot minute. The side of marinara served with the knots is laden with huge chunks of tomato. 2⁄5 SIDESALAD: My salad was wilted and I threw out a bunch of pieces of lettuce that looked less than edible. 2⁄5 Worth a Return Visit? The Student Union’s lack of dining choices kind of forces students to keep returning here. If I’m too lazy to go across the street to the other pizza place or short on time, I’m sure I’ll probably come back. I’m disappointed every time though. *shrugs* Unilocal100CHALLENGE2016: #7
