History
Established in 2000.
Neighborhood Computers was founded by Paul Ghysels in 2000 offering in-shop computer repairs to home users and businesses. In 2009, Paul sold the company to Grant Stubblefield who resumed its operation by offering comprehensive in-shop and on-site IT solutions for homes and businesses in the Bay Area. Within the first 2 years the company doubled in size by growing the support for small businesses in the area ranging from 5 – 50 employees in industries such as healthcare and financial services. Neighborhood Computers now employs six full-time technicians and continues to focus on solid, enterprise grade IT solutions for homes and businesses.
Meet the Business Owner
Grant S.
Business Owner
Grant started his IT career at the age of 15 by supporting homes in the Bay Area. At 19 he began heavily supporting small businesses by managing workstations, servers, and their company websites. He graduated from Saint Mary’s College of California in 2007 with a B.S. in Economics and Business Administration. Deeply rooted in the Moraga community, he formed relationships with local business owners and home users that grew his clientele. Throughout college he supported small business IT support needs until it proved to be more than one qualified IT professional could handle. Grant purchased Neighborhood Computers in 2009 in order to offer a better service to his current customers and grow a business that had been established in the community for many years supporting users from a small shop. Today, Grant has grown Neighborhood Computers into a managed IT service provider and primarily works on company projects for new business development as well as the overall sales of the company.
