Brianna and Christian made it FUN to get a heart scan. I arrived an hour early by mistake and was ushered right on. Clean and quick, they joked with me, didn’t even feel the needle go in. I would come back here in a heartbeat. Get it? Heartbeat? Anyway, good parking but an awkward twist for the oldsters in to get chairs or walkers in. Couldn’t these places add auto open doors, too?

Going to the doctors sucks and going to the cardiologist sucks even more! Today I had a 7am appointment at their Arville location for a pet scan and an ultra sound of my heart and carotid artery. It’s always nerve racking when you have to do tests and a pet scan is what I was most nervous about. Getting my IV in was a challenge. The first jab was very painful and it didn’t work. After a second try on my other hand she got it in without too much pain. After this I felt very sick, but Don helped me breathe and soon it passed. Don explained what was going to happen with the procedure before we started. He was great! When I started to feel sick again during the test he even held my hand and again helped me focus on my breathing.(He even wiped the sweat off my face.) If you have to get a pet scan if you can request Don he really got me through it! Next I had an ultra sound. Again, she was an excellent technician(I can’t remember her name) it was painless and quick. My only complaint would be could we get some larger gowns for us bigger peeps? If you have to go through testing Nevada Heart and Vascular Center is the place to go. The staff is nice, helpful and best of all caring about their patients. Well, at least at this location they do!

if I could give this place half a star I would. I went and saw Dr. Lee and although he seems like a great doctor i was misled and the misleading left me with a bill for $ 1300.00. I am under 30 and he requested that I have a PET scan and an echo ultrasound done. The staff told me that my copayment would be 250.00. I paid the co payment as they called it and here i am a month and a half later with a bill for $ 1300.00 Called the billing department which they were very helpful and they informed me that the office staff has been saying co payment but that it is not a co payment that it is a deposit. Yea two completely different things. The billing department told me that they have been getting many calls about this and that they tell the office staff to have the patients call them so that way the patients can know the real co payment before hand. Apparently they do not seem to be listening and doing this since I am sure many people may not agree to do any of the test for the moment since not everyone has that kind of money just laying around waiting to spend it or whatever the case may be. I am very very dissapointed by the staff and they misled me to a $ 1300 bill. Never will I step foot there again and I hope this helps others not to make the same mistake.
