Palm Beach Tan

Worse tanning salon I have ever been to. So thrilled LVAC now has a salon at their facility. The staff at palm beach is rude, inconsiderate of your time and money, and seem to be too busy to actually talk to you or even actually clean the beds. I would recommend spending your money some place else that has a nicer staff, cleaner beds, and more options for your money.

Mid December I purchased a package for 3 spray tans for around $ 60 I believe and thought that was a wonderful deal, however I went in today to use my second and was told you only have 45 days to use them … That would have been nice to know the day of purchasing… I was upset but shoot it wasn’t the young ladies fault!!! Then after spending $ 40 for just 1 spray tan today I am left with NO color … Just a complete bummer

I didn’t have any complaints when I was regularly coming here to tan, membership prices aren’t bad and I always showed up before the line ever got crazy long.
Once my work schedule got busy I had to pause my membership, pay $ 7 – 8 a month which builds up credit for when you come back I guess. The only thing that sucks about pausing or canceling is you have to physically come to the store. I was pretty annoyed but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Well last weekend I decided to cancel my membership (no real reason except to save a few bucks and didn’t need to tan). so I walk into the store and requested to cancel. Wasn’t given any grief, but here’s what I don’t like: I asked how much credit I had built up ($ 30). So I ask how many sessions I can do. The girl didn’t understand what I meant, so I asked how much is each session so I can use my $ 30 credit. She said that once I cancel, I can’t tan anymore and the credit is gone. I’m sure it’s in the contract somewhere, but after I told her I’m not letting $ 30 go to waste, she said the only way is to buy something from the store… so I ask for lotion. After her showing me 2 different lotions I say ok to one and ask how much it is. $ 36. At this point I’m already annoyed at this whole situation and there’s a line behind me so I just say ok. I hand her a $ 20 bill, which she said she was expecting a card. and before even opening the register she says «let me check if I have change in my wallet». so I ask if she wants me to pay with my card and she asked if I could. I complied and then got the hell out of there.
Long story short, if you’re cancelling, use up whatever credit you have before you decide to cancel because not being able to use your credit on a tanning session is dumb. I don’t need a $ 36 bottle of tanning lotion.
Pros: the salon is clean, the ladies at the front are friendly.

Nice location and very clean but it’s REALLY annoying that they make you wait EXACTLY 24 hours until you can tan again… it’s a bit inconvenient.

I love to spray tan only, no lamps or beds. But it seems like at least every other time I go in, which I usually go weekly, the machines are down. So I decided to downgrade my membership, and the girl argued with me, telling ME that’s not what I want. EXCUSE me??? I think I know what I WANT. Ridiculous! These girls need a hard lesson in customer service!

I have been coming the the Shadow Mountain location for a while now, and I like PBT for a few reasons. The salon is always clean, and they keep the ambient temperature cool enough so you’re not melting before you tan. There have been mishaps along they way with staffing, but I really like the new manager Jessica. She has been super friendly and helpful. She helped me find the best membership package for me, and also the best lotions. She is very knowledgeable about the products sold in the store and didn’t mind putting in some time explaining the product benefits while I selected what was best for me. That is excellent service!
The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is a facility issue This may sound crazy… but I wish the restroom situation got figured out. The locks are messed up so when someone leaves the ladies room, many times the door closes and locks behind them. This means I have to use the men’s room. I don’t care about that but there is a certain aroma in there I’d rather not deal with (and I don’t ever experience in the Ladies’ room). I think it might be a plumbing issue because the bathrooms always appear clean. Whatever it is, handling the locks on the restroom doors is an easy fix and I hope that the regional or corporate managers will take care of it soon.

CUSTOMER SERIVCE ISSUE!
My issue is not just with this location but now with the Customer Service department of the entire company.
My first problem was I was not informed about the tanning 1 time within a 24 hour period. I was rudely informed that I would have to wait another 30 min before I could tan again, and that was Nevada State Law. Ok, its a law I will get over it. (Later I found that other salons don’t do this, they only allow 1 tanning session within a 12 hour period).
The second issue was last weekend, when I had stopped by with a friend of mine (who doesn’t tan there) because we were near there and she said she didn’t mind waiting, I heard the employee say to a new customer that he could call ahead to reserve a bed if he was on the way. I was surprised by this and so was my friend so I told her we could go and I would do that. So later I called and the same employee answered the phone, I asked to hold my bed because i would be there in about 15 min and she said «we don’t take appointments.» I had informed here that i just heard her say that they do to a new customer and she was VERY RUDE replying «It’s been me here all morning and i didn’t say that.» if it weren’t for the fact that my friend heard her say this as well as me, I would have gotten over it, but she flat out lied to me.
Third, I emailed the customer service department about my issues a week ago and still have not gotten a response.
And today while stopping by there I heard an employee answer the phone asking a customer to hold extremely rudely. «I asked you to hold on for a moment» I work in a customer service environment and you do NOT speak to customers this way!
I CANNOT believe that customers are treated this way!!! If this is what the company allows to happen in their salons I do not want to be a part of it. I will be canceling my membership.

This is based on customer service alone. This is also a review for the N. Decatur location. To make a very long frustrating story somewhat short. My husband purchased a gift card for me and I tried to use it twice. The first time the girl had trouble swiping but took the card and let me tan. She didn’t mention that the other girls that work there are so rude and would not be so helpful. The second time, I went in the first girl at the front couldn’t get it to work so she asked the second girl for assistance. She came over and tried swiping the card and it didn’t work, she tried typing it in and it didn’t work. She got on the phone and walked into a room and came back and rudely said the card was declined and that they can’t take it. What? There is no way I used all of the money on the card the first time. She asked me if I had the receipt so I called my husband who said he the it away when I used it the first time. She said there is nothing she could do and very rudely in a raised voice said to call the corporate office. I would have been fine with that if she wasn’t so rude and I didn’t have to tell her to calm her voice when talking to me. So unprofessional to hang out yapping her mouth to some guy at the front desk and get an attitude when taking to me. Needless to say, I have a message into the customer service department awaiting a call back.

I’ve gone to this location 4 times now. I am a new tanner and have literally no experience or knowledge about tanning beds. Girls are always really sweet and helpful. Shayyane is the one who signed me up and has been helping me to know how long to tan in the bed. She is very knowledgeable and has been extremely helpful in explaining how the beds work and the different lotions. Ac is always on so it’s nice and cool. I do believe they work on commission so they are a little pushy about trying to sell you the lotions. But no way I’m gonna buy a 90 $ tanning lotion. I’ve bought them on amazon for a quarter of the price and they work just fine.

Very glad to have found and chosen this salon. Sign up was very easy, everyone I’ve met has been wonderful and helpful, and it’s a national company so you can visit ANY palm beach tan in country. Lotion is a little pricey in-​store, though.

Recently have been looking for a place to tan and had been unsuccessful. As I was waiting to for a dentist appointment today I searched Unilocal for tanning places and saw Palm Beach Tan so I gave it a shot. As soon as I walked in I felt welcome and was told everything I needed to know and any questions I had were answered thoroughly! Needless to say it was perfect and prices were way better than any other place around! Great prices and great customer service!

Good tanning place, always clean, but has one or two girls who have some attitude issues and poor customer service. Katie is pretty awful, if she is still working there, and always gabbing on the phone to someone about boys or drinking… really unprofessional.
The beds are nice, although they don’t have the upgraded bed that some of the other Las Vegas locations do.
Although regulated by corporate, the packages are decent. I wish they would do a spray tan only package that as affordable, instead of just the UV beds at an unlimited monthly rate. I’ve tanned at six locations in Texas and Nevada and this one is smaller but still nice and clean.

Took my time to review this place because I wanted to make sure that I had more than just 3 visits before I make my review.
Been to only a handful of Palm Beach Tans. One thing in common in all is their customer service. This location is up there too. When it comes to products, I don’t get that feel that they are pushing me to buy one of their high ticket lotions. Some tanning places do. I’m always treat good.
Originally from Daygo, I never had to worry about getting a tan. That’s because it was so easy to just go to the beach when I start to lighten up. Now that I’m here, it’s too hot for me to lay out at the pool. Actually a little embarrassed that I even have to indoor tan since I’m normally a dark Pacific Islander.
About this place…
I’ve never had to wait to get on any of the beds and even their stand up’s. This location is bit slower than the California location that I usually frequent. Beds and bulbs always look to be in good shape. One thing about this specific location is that it’s cooled just right. I’ve been to other locations where I am burning up. This place has the AC on full blast.
If there’s one issue that I have, it’s for all the Palm Beach Tans. Their rooms are small. Not many places to put your keys, wallet, and phone. This must explain why women have purses. I’m a dude, so I just leave everything in my pockets.
My other issue is that I am not allowed to have someone in here with me. I don’t plan of doing anything crazy in these beds, but it get’s tough to get lotion on my back.

I have tried a few tanning salons in Vegas and this is by far my favorite. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the beds and the products that they sell. You almost never have to wait for a bed and the monthly package prices are reasonable.

So I’ve tried a few tanning places in the North Las Vegas area and I actually frequented another salon for quite some time, but unfortunately they moved to Durango and 95. I like the place, but not enough for the drive.
I’ve seen Palm Beach Tan numerous times… obviously any time I’m in that shopping center. So finally, with my old salon really far away and my skin becoming a nice shade of pale, I decided to try this place.
I actually really like it. The employees are really nice, not fake nice, but genuine (I even got an email from the manager letting me know to contact her if I needed anything or had any questions). I decided I was going to try one of the beds first (mainly the stand-​up, cause that’s what I like) before making a commitment… smart right? Well… not when it costs $ 20 for a singe tan (level 2). Prices are hella expensive for singles! BUT I ended up liking the bed… yeah, it was a level 2, but it has the power of a level 3 that I’ve tried in some other salons. After my lovely 12 minutes in the bed I decided I would go ahead and buy a package. To my surprise, if you use the EFT (electronic funds transfer — kinda like automatic debit) option it only costs $ 40 a month for unlimited tans! WTH? So basically if I go at least three times a month I’ll make my money back and then some… cool with me. You also get a couple free upgraded level bed sessions (ie. one level 3, one level 4, etc) AND you get one free spray tan session.
I would definitely suggest this place if you’re planning on buying a package… but would probably go elsewhere if you only need one or two tans for an event.
