Palms Place Pool

The Palms Casino in Vegas is separated into three separate towers: The Fantasy Tower, The Ivory Tower (which are right next to each other) and Palms Place, which is connected by a tunnel. This pool is for the Palms Place, thus its name. It’s much smaller than the Palms Pool for the two towers. It’s much more relaxing, a bit quieter as it doesn’t have club music blasting throughout the day.
The pool is accessed at the 6^th floor, next to their spa. Towels are available for your deck chairs. The pool isn’t deep, I believe about 5 ft at its deepest end. There’s an area where it’s very shallow, and this is where they place patio furniture for the party weekends or special events. On weekdays, it’s safe for the kids. The pool itself is shaped like an «L», so depending on the time of day you want to lay & bake, the shadow cast by the Palms Place Tower will force you to move … you’ll see what I mean.
There’s a bar and a cocktail waitress, or you can try not to be lazy and walk up to the bar yourself. Lunch can also be ordered from the adjoining restaurant, Café 6. Although I never ordered from them, it does look like they make a huge juicy burger.
If you’re looking for the Vegas like, action packed, tatooed jocks and hot girls in tiny bikinis kind of pool, this is not it. But if you prefer a more mellow pool, family friendly smaller pool … check this out.
* yes, use sunblock! You know how the Vegas sun gets.
* self serve water near the bar so you don’t faint.
* return used towels to the hamper, next to where you picked up clean ones.
* weekends are not as relaxing. music is louder, more people and a bit more party atmosphere.

I was expecting some kinda glamorous Vegas pool scene but instead was treated to a lot of screaming kids and a pool deck with stained, worn lounge chairs and candy spilled everywhere. Oh, and someone was eating a salad while *in* the pool. After looking at the lounge chairs, I kind of didn’t blame them. No one offered us food, drinks or even towels so we didn’t hang around long. We took a second look at the pool the next afternoon, and it was basically the same scene.
Bonus points: it closes what seems ridiculously early for a hotel pool (6pm).

when we got to the pool there was a million kids playing water polo just hogging the pool. we tried going into the pool to have a good time but the kids were taking up too much room. because of this i got out and went to look around for an employee to get the pool under control, THERE WERE NO STAFF AROUND. the bar was also closed and looked like it had never been used before. since there was all these kids in the pool i got stuck in the hot tub with a bunch of other people since there was nowhere to swim in the pool. i would not recommend this pool as a nice quiet place to relax and sunbathe.

This place was a win for me. I was meeting a girlfriend at palms but the main pool was closed for a Budweiser party so we went to palms place instead. It was a little far away and took a minute to get there but it was tucked away with not too many people, no kids, music was perfect volume, lots of open chairs. There was an Absolut Vodka promotion going on at the time and the cocktail models were engaging without being intrusive. The only thing is that there were no regular cocktail servers roaming and if you wanted drinks, you had to go to the bar to get them yourself.

Huge suites w/​incredible bathrooms w/​floor to ceiling glass doors.
Yes it’s a non gaming hotel suite but it’s right next to Palms w/​easy access.
Gorgeous suites and great service. $ 25 per nt resort kind of sucks but that’s most of Vegas.
Spa here has an lovely Turkish bath and lots of amenities.
There’s always deals for spa treatments om travel zoo.

I love this place! We stayed next door at the palms and I wasn’t able to go to that pool, I know Palms is known for pool parties so with a little one I opted for Palms Place pool. It was clean and crowd was good. As a parent of a well-​behaved 5 year old, I am glad we went cus they have shallow area that’s perfect. The guests didn’t seem bothered by a kid around them. This is a mellow place. The only thing is the place gets super hot we were there July 2 – 3, 2014.

If you’re looking for a place where you can just relax in a totally laid back, none loud atmosphere, this pool is a good choice. It’s rather small and doesn’t get deep at all. It’s an L shape that corners the Simon restaurant (which has floor to ceiling windows). It’s lined with cabanas and then a row of lounge chairs in front of those cabanas. Plus there’s some chairs and bed in the pool itself. So it’s not a lot of seating, but that’s never been a problem on the numerous times I’ve been here. There’s a small bar and usually plenty enough of cocktail servers. There’s a full food menu as well. The cabanas are nice. Not much to them, but you do get a TV, fan, fruit tray, constant server, and shade. I particularly like this spot in cooler weather as the large fireplace and decent sized hot tub are quite awesome. And there’s nothing quite like the Sunday pajama brunch at Simon followed by a dip in this pool.

I went here on 3÷22÷14 to wait for the Unilocal pilates event. I was an hour early because I had just finished my workout at my gym and didn’t have time to drive back home before I went to the event. I decided, hey, why not check out the pool.
The towel guy & life guards seemed nice enough and the pool looked clean, but the chairs were a bit ratty. Not the end of the world. I picked a lounger in the middle of a row of about 8 other empty lounges and laid back to get in some sun before pilates.
Not five minutes after I lay down, two middle-​aged bros come up to me asking if the lounges directly to my left are taken. «No, they’re not, and I’d wish they’d continue to be not taken» is what was racing through my mind, but all I could say was «nope, they’re free.» They plop their stuff down and start talking about their «married guy away from the wife lame-​o drunk» escapades loudly, as if I’d be impressed.
Finally, after a good long while of this, one of the bros decides to go swimming. Surrounding the pool is a sea of other middle-​aged bros and mid-30’s bros all in their packs on their male vacations. It’s so depressing because they really feel like they’re in some low-​budget version of The Hangover.
Facing the pool is a restaurant that overlooks the pool. I’m guessing the point is to see a bunch of high-​priced escorts that are looking to be sugar babies, lay out by the pool. I guess the old men with their other escorts were sorely disappointed with the view when I was there because there were less than 5 women, and two of the women were with toddlers.
Not unlike Unilocal,Palms Place pool is THE place in Vegas for middle-​aged guys to hit on women under 30 who aren’t remotely interested. Return at your own risk ladies.

This is as mellow is mellow can be in Vegas. The pool area is actually pretty small and the water doesn’t get very deep. The waitresses are pretty cute in their skimpy bikinis. The cabanas outnumbered the pool chairs which didn’t bother us because we scored one of the pool bed. They were pretty awesome. They’re pretty much giant comfy ottomans that you could sleep on. I think my girlfriend and I spent the majority of our morning there. Unlucky for us, it was a bit cloudy that day but it didn’t stop us from laying out and dozing off.
I suggest drinking a bit your suite before coming down because the drinks are on the pricy side. :)

The pool was clean as was the surrounding area. We took the kids to go swim and escape the heat promptly at 9 am when it opened. After about an hour the lifeguard was complaining about being out there and wanting relief. It does kinda suck having the restaurant patrons watching your every move.
All in all the pool is okay. At its deepest it is 4 feet, the shallow is 6 inches. It is great for kids however the lifeguards are very nit picky over what they can and can’t do… always felt like we were being watched. And it sucks that it closes at 6 pm… what pool closes at 6?

Comfy chairs, clean water, very chill

It’s 90+ degrees and the Pool closes immediately at 6pm. When it is open, there’s no shade from the Scalding Sun. It’s High Priced misery in the Desert.

For a pool that is not very big, they have too many cabanas you must reserve and not enough lawnchairs to lay out and sun.
Not sure why there is a fireplace at the pool and I also went once with my husband and got very speedy poolside service from the bar, but when I first went alone, NOT ONE waitress would give me the time of day until I had to flag one down for a drink.

I stayed at the Palms Place over the weekend with wifey. Before check out on Monday morning, we decided to scope out the babes by the pool. Unfortunately, the pool was empty, with the exception of two families with their children. Epic fail. The pool itself was okay. It was small, but clean and efficient. The pool is enclosed by bungalows that are available for rent. It comes with TV, Safe, and a fridge. There’s a nice fire pit that people can sit by and a hot tub. The one thing I don’t like is how the Palms place restaurant overlooks the pool. I’m already self-​conscious about my body, so the last thing I need is a restaurant full of people, watching this fatty swim with his t-​shirt on.
